Carlos comes into the dining room and places the chicken down and then takes his seat, "Kitsune, you don't need to worry about me as I do not care if my change needs to be halted for a bit to help the kid out. I am a little concerned about you. It has been a while since you were last able to change."

"There is nothing that can be done about my change. I'm not in a rush to do my change. After the baby is born I will transform." Kitty serves herself some food and begins to eat. "It's not like I haven't gone this long without transforming before."

"So you do remember. Right after I became the clan leader I left and moved around a lot. I never settled in one place for longer than a week. For three months I did not transform in fear that I would be found out but this is different from that time. I do not feel the need to transform so there is no real reason to be concerned. I doubt I could hold my turn transformation for more than a minute. With being constantly in my natural state I can keep my powers in line, therefore, I am conserving my powers for when I have to be transformed. Cindy will transform tonight though." Luke eats his food in silence while watching Carlos. Carlos looks at Luke and inwardly sighs. "I guess now would be a good time to go over what happened when the ambulance showed up. The female woke up when the ambulance arrived and said that her partner swerved to avoid a deer but I didn't catch any scent of a deer on the road. The paramedics took them away and she said that she would compensate us for our time. So I can only assume that they will find out the address and come here. Hopefully, Leo will be home before they can get here."

"That would be the best case but that may not be what happens." Kitty stops eating and thinks about what they could do. "If they come there won't be any ill intent so the alarm won't go off. Hmmmmmm."

"Would you be able to transform quick enough if someone warned you that a car was pulling up?" Luke finally spoke up.

"I could do it but I do not know for how long I would be able to hold it. Then again I could just say that I am tired and go to my room. Make sure there is a barrier to contain any lingering traces of my powers. We do not know if they will be able to sense my powers or not." Kitty picks up the glass of water. "Okay, warn me if someone comes here and I will transform as quick as I can my room. It may take me a little time. I can act like I was working in the nursery which is what I will probably be doing anyways. Let's eat and we will prepare for the encounter in the morning. The hospital has your number so I am sure that she will call you to get the address before coming over."

"Ah, that is true. The two of them do not have our address and only have a number but could they not look in the database and see that my number is registered under Leo's number?" Luke continues to eat.

Kitty thinks for a moment. "That is also a possibility. Nonetheless, we will prepare in the morning. I am far more concerned about the transformations being complete then I am worried about two hunters coming to the house. They are hospitalized for the time being and will probably be there for at least twenty-four hours. That is plenty of time to prepare." Kitty finishes off the cup of water and continues to eat.

"What Kitsune has said is true. Let's worry about tonight and get the transformations out of the way than worry about the hunters in the morning." Carlos ends the topic for now and eats some of the food. "There is more chicken in the oven so eat lots kid."

Cindy eats the food while smiling. "Kitsune, I didn't think the changes you made would make this taste so good but it is amazing. I saw that you added some extra cheese but what else did you add?"

Carlos eat the chicken and savored the taste. "You added some spices that I don't usually add it to the breading. I usually season with basil, salt, and pepper. You added some crushed red pepper flakes and oregano."

"Also, parsley. Yes, I thought a little more flavor would be nice. It doesn't affect me negatively to have flavorful food." Kitty finishes off the food on her plate. "Although I noticed you altered the caesar salad dressing to not have anchovy paste." She picks up the fruit punch cup and slowly drinks it.

"I think this combination works but it is not normally added. If you want more flavors I will do that to the next meal. I have a dessert made in the fridge for after the changes tonight." Carlos finishes off what is on his plate and stands up, "I will be right back. I need to check on the last bit of chicken." He leaves and checks on the chicken and it is done so he turns off the oven and brings them to the table and replaces the empty tray with a full one. 'Seriously this girl is as carefree as ever.'
