Luke looked at Carlos and got up. He picked up his and Kitty's plate. "It is part of my job to help with the cleanup. Leo is pretty strict when it comes to me helping out. So, if I leave it for you to do then I will not hear the end of it but Cindy as you are a guest please go and get some rest." He walks into the kitchen and starts loading the dishwasher.

Cindy smiles, she gets up and heads towards the door. "Thank you for dinner, I look forward to breakfast. Don't stay up too late. Good night, Aizen and Lavatis."

"It was my pleasure Ukemochi. Please, have a good sleep and may your dreams be pleasant." Carlos gets up and picks up the dishes from Cindy and himself. He takes them into the kitchen and places them on the counter. He goes back to grab the bowl, adds all the cups into the bowl and grabs the pitcher. When he comes back with the bowl, cups and the pitcher he places the dishes on the counter. "Is it odd for you to deal with me now that you know that I am one of your kind?"

Luke loads the dishes as they are brought to him. "No, it's not that, it's more like I feel like I am a failure. I never noticed your presence and now that there are more people here I thought I wouldn't be caught off guard." He finishes filling the dishwasher so Luke turns it on. Cindy walks up the stairs and walks to her room. When inside the new room she sighs and gets changed. 'I was not expecting to feel so tired but I really am.' She climbs in the new bed and passes out.

"Relax Kid, you have yet to finish your transformation. Your sense of smell will get better after you complete the change. That is going to be the biggest challenge for you after the change. The smells that will hit you will amaze and frighten you all at the same time. This is what I was told when I was your age and how right that statement was." Carlos shakes his head, "if you had been able to stay with your pack you would be living your life in fear. So, in that sense, you are really blessed. He went over to the sink and started filling it up.

"My sense of smell will change once I complete the change? Does that mean I will be able to tell who is or isn't human by their scent?" Luke walks to the sink. "I will wash these. You have to pre-prep some items for lunch and dinner tomorrow. I will help you that way we both can go to bed quicker."

"A lot changes after you make the change. Scent is the biggest change but I will go over this tomorrow. Sure, you can do the dishes. I am used to preparing everything by myself. I didn't use a lot of what I would need for tomorrow but I do need to alter some of the things I was going to make. There are dietary restrictions for pregnant individuals like for instance there is fish that have a high mercury content so it is advised to not eat it or another example is no caffeine. Not that I would ever cook fish with a high mercury content." He opens the freezer, pulls out more chicken and closes the door. He opens the fridge and adds the frozen chicken to the marinating chicken. Slowly he mixes the frozen and thawed chicken together so that the marinade is evenly spread over the newly added frozen chicken.

Luke starts washing the dishes. He notices that a lot of the dishes are pots, pans, kitchen knives, and bamboo cutting boards. "I understand that there is a list of foods that are to be avoided. I take it that it was part of your training to learn the dietary needs of people with certain conditions? Is there a reason why you wash all these by hand? I am not complaining but I am merely curious." He washes each knife and rinses it off then lays it down in the drying rack.

"Yes, in school they covered all sorts of conditions. I paid attention just in case I found a mate. I would like to be able to cook for her whenever she wanted to eat. Certain cooking utensils should never go into a dishwasher. Knives are one of them, if you put them through the dishwasher you run the risk of destroying them." Carlos washes his hands and comes over and starts drying the knives right away and putting them back where they belong. "In order to extend the life of knives, it is a wise choice that after washing them you should dry them and return the knives back to where they belong." As Carlos drys the knives he puts them away.

"I see that makes a lot of sense. I will make sure that if I help you again I dry and put them away as soon as I am done washing them. I would hate to damage the knives. Thank you, Carlos, this is something I do need to learn. I am inexperienced but I promise that I will learn as quickly as possible. I want to be of some use to Leo and Kitty. I want to be able to protect the ones who I feel are my pack. I know that is not how it works but that is how I feel." He finishes washing all the dishes and then drains the sinks. As the sink drains he wipes the sides down and then sprays the sides with water.

"It is not unusual for one to make their own pack. Leo must be your Alpha, so it will be weird for you to all of a sudden have more members added. I will teach you to the best of my ability." Carlos finished all the small prep for the evening. "Let's call it a night and we can continue our talk in the morning. I will give you the books to read tomorrow. I get the feeling that if you were to give them to you tonight you would not sleep at all and that would be pointless." He walks away and heads to the staff quarters building.

"You are correct I would do that. I will head to bed as well then. Good night, Carlos." Luke heads out of the kitchen, he makes it up the stairs and turns to head to his room. He goes into his room and flops on his bed. 'I am too tired to care about changing.' He climbs under the covers and passes out.

Kitty awoke the next morning. She got out of bed and walked to the bathroom where she turned on the water to have a shower. She changed out of Leo's shirt and climbed into the running water. 'It was a peaceful night. I got a lot of sleep and the baby didn't wake me up a lot. I think today I will finish the sketch and maybe go for a swim in the pool. I will have to get Luke or Carlos to grab my bag form the truck so that I can at least have some other clothes options. Also, I should check with Cindy and see if she needs anything from the truck. All of her things could be brought into her room actually. I will put both guys to work today. Cindy and I used different colors of containers.' She washes her hair using the shampoo and conditioner that were there. 'I am lucky that we use the same brand.' She gets out of the shower and gets dressed in some of Leo's clothes. She steps out of the room and sees Luke coming out of his room. "Good morning, Luke. I have a favor to ask of you that is if you don't mind." She walks towards him and waits for an answer.
