Unknown Prey 114 114 Unexpected Car Crash

Luke pays for the items and places them in the gift bag. "Thanks for waiting for me Carlos. I got what I came for." He carries the bag out to the car and puts it on his seat then goes and helps Carlos offload the food and such into the car. Luke pulled out the cooler and added all the chocolates and whatever food items they got into the cooler. He closed the cooler and put it back into the car then went and sat down in his seat. He pulled out the ring box and put it in the box that he is going to paint for Kitty as a gift then placed the box back into the gift bag.

Carlos worked quick on adding the rest of the bags to the trunk and had set aside the food bags for Luke to deal with. Once the trunk was full he looked in the back seat and placed the last two bags in there. He returned the cart and then got into the car. "Are you ready for the drive back?" He asked as he does up his seat belt.

"Yeah, I'm ready. I managed to just get everything in the cooler. I am glad that there was enough room in there for everything. It looked like the trunk is pretty full since you had to place a few bags in the back seat and the back is pretty full as it is. I hope that we did not forget to grab anything but even if we did you can always grab it tomorrow." Luke looked at the scenery as it flew by. "I wonder how far the transformation will go this time?"

"I do believe we got everything but you are right if anything is missed I will be coming back into town tomorrow anyways." Carlos focused on the road and then glanced at Luke. "We will find out tonight. I do not know how far you had made it before but I know how to help ease you into the process and hopefully, it will be less painful for you." Carlos focused on driving.

"Thank you, Carlos. I can not wait until I complete the change. I think part of the problem is that I try to force the transformations and Kitty noticed that when I was trying to hide my ears. If I think about I am rather impatient. I know that the other werewolf I met was trying to teach me but at a young age it was not easy for me to concentrate. I was like a squirrel and focusing on one thing was not the easiest thing for me to do." Luke smiled and looked at Carlos.

"I think that Kitty putting me in charge of you was one of the best things she could've done. I wonder if the foxes will transform tonight? I doubt Kitty will be able to but it is something I thought you should get a heads up about. Both Kitty and Cindy can transform as well. I do not know what color Cindy's fox is but I guess we will find out soon enough." Carlos focuses on driving.

"Wait! They can transform as well!!! That so very exciting. Do you know if it a forced transformation like ours or can they do as they please? Is it set to a time of the month like ours?" Luke stares at Carlos in anticipation.

Carlos smiles, "it is not something they are forced to do but rather something they can do at their own leisure. They are set to a schedule and can choose when they want to transform. They're rather lucky to have that freedom. This information is something that was exchanged in our clans and that is how I know this for a fact. I do not think that Kitty will mind me telling you this. I have seen Kitty's transformation but I will not tell you at this time what colors her fur is at this time. I am sure once the baby is born she will transform once again."

"That seems fair to me. I can wait that long besides I think Leo should be the one to see how Kitty looks before I do. Do you know if Leo will be able to transform?" Luke thinks about this detail.

"I do believe that the partners that are connected to their counterpart are able to transform if the other party is transformed. The reason the werewolves want a link to the foxes is that fact that a crossbreed may actually be able to transform more often and supposedly have an easier time. The foxes do not have the same struggle. I was there when this conversation took place and Kitty was the one who speculated that it may actually work out in favor of the werewolves." Carlos looks in his rearview mirror.

"I see," Luke looks out the side window. " That makes a lot of sense now that you break it down for me. I look forward to being able to transform on the full moon but it is nice that you have all this information about both clans. I know that is going to sound rather random but how in the world are you so informed about all this. Is this not classified information?"

"I guess I should explain that I am not just a werewolf but also the next in line to take over my clan. Being the clan leaders oldest son I am bound to know some information and I swore an oath that the information would never be leaked. I am learning about where in the world all my clan members are. My father wants me to take over someday. All because Kitty was the one who recommended me to be the one to take over the clan. I have learned a lot of the last few years. It's been hard to track everyone down. It's only in the last little bit that I learned about some clan members going missing and now that I think about it I'm pretty sure that they had a kid and if he lived he would happen to be about your age. Luke in all seriousness do you happen to remember your parents' names?"

"My mother's name was….." A loud booming and screeching sound came from behind them. Luke looked in the rearview mirror. "It looks like a car crashed into a tree. We need to go and make sure that everyone is alright."

Carlos looks in his mirror and sees that there is no movement from within the car. "No, I am afraid that we will not be going back to help them. That is a hunter car and the crash may just be a ploy to get us to go and check on the occupants. I can not risk your safety but you can, however, call for an ambulance."

"Oh, I see. Do you not think that it would be more suspicious that we did not turn around and helped out the person in need?" Luke pulls out his phone and calls for an ambulance. He describes what he can see some the mirror.
