"Luke was a cute kid. I think that is what started Leo's want to help out the non-humans that wanted peace. He had just taken over his father's place too. Will looked at the two of them. "I'm in the same boat as Leo I would rather have peace so the two of us only hunt killers."

Kitty listened to Leo's story carefully. "I look forward to meeting Luke I am sure he is a kind boy sweet boy." Kitty thought about how there was a secret connection that she vaguely remembered her mother mentioning to her. "Was your father by any chance Robert?"

Kitty got up and went over to the phone and dialed Julie's number. She put the phone on speakerphone. "Julie, can you come to the hotel and bring that letter with you."

Julie was quiet for a little bit. "Is there a problem Kitty? I can bring the letter. I'll be there in about 20 or so minutes. What room number do I go to?"

"We're in room 316. Be safe on the drive over here Julie." Kitty hung the phone. "Leo it was your father that protected my family. That was how we were able to settle here. Your father and mother were indeed very kind people." She walked back to the couch and laid down laying her head on his lap. She closed her eyes relaxing.

Leo and Will were both shocked. Leo was the first to talk. "You met my parents Kitty? How is that even possible? They died the day before my 16th birthday."

"Mmmmm. Wait for the letter and I'll explain when you're done reading it. I've read my copy a long time ago. I wouldn't have been able to figure out that you were Robert's son if Will didn't mention the protected family." She kept her eyes closed. Her fox ears twitched. "I suggest that the two of you grab another drink."

Will finally spoke up. "If you know Robert then what was his wife's name?" He asked while getting up. He took his cup to the counter and poured a drink for himself and brought the whole bottle of bourbon to Leo.

"Her name was Sandra and her best friend was Linda. Linda was married to Charles. The two couples had a double wedding Which was unheard of back in the day but they were happy to share their special day with each other. The wedding formed a special connection between the two families." Kitty explained and opened her eyes and looked up at Leo. "I didn't know that you were connected to them. Will, can you get the door?" There was a knock at the door after Kitty spoke. Will got up and opened the door. As requested. "Julie meet Leo the son of Robert and Sandra. The one who opened the door is Will." Kitty looked at Julie from the couch.

"I told you not to use your powers too much. Leo, it is good to meet you. Your father was a wonderful individual. It's nice to meet you, Will, as well." She took her shoes and walked up to Kitty. "Since you are in your fox form you must trust these two. So Leo is the father of the baby?"

"If we are to save the town we need allies and these two are the ones who will be able to help us out. Give Leo the letter. Both of these two are hunters Julie but yes Leo is the father of the baby and also my chosen partner. I marked him so there is no turning back." She said the last line and sat up.

Julie handed the letter to Leo. "You have a lot of explaining to do Kitty." Julie sighed.

Leo took the letter and looked at the wax seal on the back of the letter. It was his family's secret seal and the wax was the correct shade of red that only his family used. He opened the letter up.

Leo if you are reading this then I have long passed from the world of the living. Your mother and I are proud of you. I really wanted to change the way things were run but someone kept blocking my attempts. There are some chemicals that were produced and were being used to send peaceful races into a frenzy.
