He strode like a king on the dimly lit hallway towards the stairs. He stopped on his track when he noticed something off. He looked around observing his surroundings. He could feel that someone was looking at him, observing his every move.

He turned his head scanning the hallway. His eyes focused on any slight movement while his ears focused on any sound. Since the second floor was mostly private rooms and not just anyone could book a room, it was quieter than the first floor and there were few people walking around.

He looked around once more before a shiny object caught his eyes. It was shining in the spot beside the wall. It would be unrecognizable if one would not focus his attention on the floor.

Who would focus their attention on the floor, anyway? No one… except for the fact that Si Weimin was clearly observing the place…

Si Weimin furrowed his brows before he walked towards it. He bent down and carefully observed the shiny object. The more he looked at it, the more his feelings were in turmoil. There was something about it that made him uncomfortable.

He took his handkerchief from his pocket before he used it to pick the shiny object. Upon looking at it, it was a very weird looking piece of cup links. He had never seen anything like that before. The other pair was missing.

It was a distorted square rose gold cup link. There was engraving on the middle. It was like some kind of a symbol that he didn't have any idea of.

He wrapped it on his handkerchief and put it in the inside pocket of his suit.

He stood up and quickly went downstairs. He still didn't know where Thomas went. He was getting pissed off at his tardiness.

"Boss!"

Si Weimin heard Wang Guo as he stepped outside Royal Night.

"Boss, why did you call me here? Are we going to drink and have fun?" Wang Guo's eyes were shining. He couldn't believe that the devil really invited him to drink. He had only been to Royal Night before when his brother asked him.

Si Weimin threw Wang Guo a stern look when he heard his excited voice. His icy tone reverberated, "When did I ever ask you to have fun?"

Wang Guo almost choked from his tears after hearing what Si Weimin said. His excitement was washed away by the devil's tone.

"Eh, boss… why are we here, then?" he asked tensely.

"Call Thomas," Si Weimin replied sternly, his eyes were full of annoyance.

Wang Guo tensely dialed Thomas number but it was turned off.

"Boss, his phone is turned off."

"I'll wait in the car. Call the manager of Royal Night."

Hearing the devil's order, Wang Guo strode fast inside. He approached the bartender and asked, "Where's your manager?"

"He's not back yet," The bartender answered as he continuously mixed cocktail after.

"Where did he go?"

"I don't know," The bartender answered while shaking his head. But before Wang Guo left, he said, "Ah… yeah… he went out with a beautiful girl who was so drunk. I wonder when he'll come back."

Wang Guo went out after hearing what the bartender said and walked towards Si Weimin's car. After entering inside, he spoke,

"Boss, the manager isn't back yet. The bartender said that he went out with a drunken woman."

Instead of answering, Si Weimin only nodded.

"Boss, did something happen to Thomas?"

Upon hearing Wang Guo's question, Si Weimin's face darkened. He really had a bad feeling about this.

"Maybe Thomas went out with a hot girl he met here. He he. You know him boss. He always flirts with hot girls. I guess he couldn't control himself and get on a date."

Earlier on Royal Night

After leaving the woman in the custody of the manager, Thomas hurriedly ascended to the private room upstairs. Since Si Weimin sent him a message telling him that the room was at the far end of the second floor, he made his way there. He really needed to tell everything to Si Weimin.

On his way to the room, he was immediately stopped by two brusque men wearing black suit. They had guns on their waists. Since there were no people there at the moment, Thomas knew that these men were after him. His eyes moved fast as he examined the two.

Without speaking, the two men made their moves. They attacked Thomas at the same time. However, Thomas was not an easy target. In a flash, he countered them. The two men were strong but they were no match for him.

"Attack him!"

"Sure! Hit me with your best shot!"

Thomas smirked as the big guy tried to strike him on his pressure point, wanting to inflict damage on his movements. He was very agile as he evaded their attacks. He was an expert at combat fighting and martial arts so he knew how to repel the enemy. He dodged all their punches and returned the same ferocity.

He took their guns one at a time, easily releasing the magazines. He threw the guns on the floor, away from them.

"He is much stronger than we thought! We are at a disadvantage! Call for back up!" The big guy clenched his jaw as he ordered his peer. He tried to kick Thomas but ended slopping on the floor instead. His face landed first as he lay there, unconscious.

The other man ran forward and took his gun on the floor. He loaded the magazine and was about to shoot Thomas when he was kicked on the chin instead even before pulling the trigger.

Before the man fell, Thomas threw another kick on the man's stomach. Then, he smoothly executed an elbow strike on the back of the man's neck – throwing a killer blow. He didn't notice the other big guy who took the gun and began to shoot.

Since the gun had a silencer, no one heard what was happening. Thomas was shot on his left leg.

"Shit!" Thomas groaned when he felt the bullet pierced throught his flesh. He totally forgot about the big guy on the floor. He was careless, thinking that the big guy passed out.

He moved his body fast as he advanced towards the big guy. Enduring the pain on his leg, he put all of his strength on his right leg as he quickly used the axe kick and kicked the big guy's face.

The big guy fell on the floor unconscious. Thomas made sure that the big guy was alive so he could interrogate him.

He was about to call Si Weimin when he was struck on his neck. He was caught off guard and didn't notice a beautiful woman on his back. His sight suddenly became blurry before he blacked out.

The woman wore a sinister smile on her face before she laughed, "Nice try…"
