Legacy of Forgotten Times 80 The Book of Origins Part 3

Lyra was the up and coming prodigy of the Nine-tailed Fox Clan or rather better known as Kitsune. She was well-versed in illusion magic the forte of the clan and she was also very talented in other kinds of magic as well. Truly she was a once in a millennia genius. Not only she was a genius she was also hardworking and curious about everything. it could be said that she had a thirst for knowledge. It was common to see there stuck in the library for days which resulted in her having a weakly body as well as a skin that was as white as that of a ghost. If you asked her however she would say she was proud of her physique, that it was the proof of how much effort she put in time learning.

Seeing that she was such genius, of course, the clan put in countless resources to nurture her. She was the uncontested heir of the clan so it was expected. However, there was a single problem with the clan. Because she was so talented by the time she was 15 there wasn't anyone left in the clan qualified to teach her. That was when they had heard about an institute catered for the needs of specially gifted. It was called Autumnfall Highschool. When Lyra learnt about it she was on cloud nine. If the school was just like she taught that would mean it was a heaven for her. She could learn about everything and the only thing that would hinder her would only be the lack of time. How could she not be excited?

It was when she started Autumnfall Highschool that Lyra met Richard, the man who would change her life. If it was for the better or worse would be up for debate but it was an undeniable fact that he was the one who shaped her to become who she is right now.

Jaime was intrigued when she read about Richard. Afterall in the RP, he was just your run of the mill pervert. Just what could he have done that changed the Lyra's life so much?

Lyra's life at Autumnfall can be said to be uneventful which is kind of an anomaly, considering that the school was tasked with raising the next generation leaders of the supernatural kind so it was always under some sort of attack or the school itself designed controlled events disguised as enemy attacks to raise the students. Still, because Lyra was talented in magic by the end of her first year there wasn't anyone in the school stronger than her, including the teacher. Well maybe Richard was the only one but that was about it. So since she was so strong there wasn't any event in the school which could threaten her so eventually everyone left her to her own devices, hence her uneventful school life.

During her 3rd year of the school, Lyra was obsessed with mysteries. Especially those concerning her own clan. One particular mystery she always paid attention to was the fall of the Blood Dragon Clan. In some way it was tied to the fate of her clan so she wanted, no actually she needed to know. Richard was the person who provided this opportunity for her.

You see when one asked about the fall of the Blood Dragon Clan there was always a single piece of information that stuck out, the fact that one of the nine keys went missing along with them. So starting from there Lyra cooked up a plan. Rather than searching for the remains of the Blood Dragons wasn't it easier to search for the key? Of course, it wasn't the first time such an idea was brought up. Each of the 8 clans had tried to search for the key at some point in time but they had never succeeded. However, she had something they didn't have, her talent in magic.

Lyra's plan was actually simple since all 9 keys came from the same place it would mean they share a connection. She was going to use that connection to search for all the keys in the world and considering she knew where all the other 8 keys were she could find the position of the remaining one. So in order to realize her plan, she asked for the key of her clan and they gave it to her gladly. Lyra was the heir to the clan and eventually, it was going to be her responsibility to protect it, so why not just give it to her ahead of time and let her do what she wants?

After acquiring the key Lyra started on experimenting it together with her mentor Richard. They didn't make any kind of breakthroughs for almost 6 months but eventually, Richard made one. He found out that the keys carried a special kind of energy inside them which he named Divine Source. He settled on that name as according to the myths the keys were made by a god. So after figuring out the presence of the special energy, they made a scanner that could search for it. Still, since the equipment was unique they couldn't make a worldwide scan and they had to search for it manually. Lyra was not perturbed by that as long as she could find a lead she was confident that she could find the key.

So she set on to find it and the start of her destination was the place where the Blood Dragon Clan had disappeared; Braşov/Romania
