"Really? I honestly did not know that." That was the truth and it actually meant something more serious but now was not the time for that. He was pretty sure that the future Linri would think hard about that subject.

"That's what I thought you would say" Linri answered with a smile on his face. Now that he recruited his own minion it was time to go home I guess.

"Thanks. You might be a dick but you are actually a good guy, aren't you?" Linri was about to get up from his chair when Gendor thanked him sincerely. It actually was different from what he expected.

"Excuse me? Have you met me? I was about to melt your face off? Don't tell me that they experimented on you so hard that your judgement became convoluted to think I was a good person?" Linri put on his hand to Gendor's forehead. Gendor laughed again.

"You were right. It was just a joke nothing would happen to me. Also just like you said I might have gone insane and at that point killing me would actually be the right choice. I wouldn't want to die but still. Also if you weren't afraid that I would die because of it, you wouldn't tell me about that hero-complex thing. Oh yeah, how do you even know about that in the first place? Were you a shrink or something IRL? Anyway, thank you for saving me and also thank you for warning me."

Linri got up from his chair and headed for the living room.

"Well, don't be so hasty about your judgement about people. I wouldn't hesitate to show you under the bus if it meant saving my own hide." Linri honestly felt uncomfortable that someone called him a good guy with sincerity. In this month he was so used to acting like a conman that once someone showed their real emotions without any hidden meanings he felt bad. That was why he felt obliged to warn him about his own personality.

"I know... Any normal person would do that I suppose."
