'Are u rly sure about goin to Autumnfall?'

He got an instant reply.

'Ye y u ask?'

'I am gonna talk to my parents about the transfer.'

'oh'

After that message, Linri heard the sound of a door opening. It was Jaime coming to his room.

"So? What's the plan? How are you gonna tell them?" She fired a barrage of questions which also troubled his mind. He knew what to say but he did not if they were the 'correct' choice.

"I don't know. In the book, I read there was no mention of how to talk to your parents." In Jaime's ears this sentence translated into 'I don't know I didn't write about this stuff'.

"Okay then let's go now." Linri looked at her dumbfounded.

"Huh?"

"The more you put it off the harder it will get to talk about it." After saying that she grabbed Linri by the arm and started to drag him into the living room.

His parents were looking at the commotion confused.

"He has something to tell you." After that, she turned towards Linri and urged him to talk with her eyes. Linri, however, was still in a daze, things changed so fast that he did not know how to react to it.

"I don't have anything to say, I don't even know why she brought me he-?!!" Linri was about to continue when he was pinched from his sides. The source of the pain was Jaime and she was basically threatening him to talk at this point.

Linri was not bothered by the pain, that was not the reason he stopped talking mid-sentence. The reason was her attitude. It seemed like he had to tell them about Autumnfall right now otherwise he had to deal with the Mafia boss besides him. Well, it shouldn't affect his plans if he told them now. If it didn't work he could always make up a story about his deal with the deities and that they only told him the exit in exchange for doing something for them at Autumnfall.

"Ugh, I guess I 'do' have something to say. You see, I actually wanted to study abroad for high school. I already decided the school I wanted to apply, it's name is Autumnfall High school and from what I saw I should be accepted there without a hitch. Happy now?" At the last part of the sentence, he had turned towards Jaime and saw her giving him a teasing smile. He did not know why but he somehow felt like he lost? He did not know where this feeling emerged from but it was the truth.

"Autumnfall? Are you sure you wanna go there?" It was Lyra that answered him. Both of her parents were surprised by the sudden declaration but being the more 'mature' one in their relationship Lyra was the first one to react.

"Yeah, I just feel like it is the right place for me." Linri reaffirmed his decision to his parents.

"Do you know what kind of place that school is?" Lyra's tone sounded more serious compared to before. It was just like a mother asking their child who was the one that broke the vase. It was gentle yet scary at the same time.

"I have some idea, I think it might get answers for some of my questions." Linri did not back off in front of Lyra's tone. He kept his calm and nonchalant attitude.

"For now go back to your room. We need to discuss this with your father." Lyra sent her son while looking at the still dazed husband of hers. After they went upstairs Arkady finally reacted to the situation.

"We are not allowing him to go there!" His voice was firm, it gave the image of someone who would not back off even if you kicked him. He would stay unmoved just like a mountain. He was not going to send his son away, there was already a single person away from their family and he was not going to allow his son to go away too. Especially to Hanawa where her wife was still considered a fugitive.

"Why is that? I think that's a good idea, he wants to experience the other side of our world. It would not do him any good if we kept protecting him. Even if he has a slight chance to awaken his bloodline he would still need a catalyst for that. If we can provide that catalyst for him in a controlled environment like Autumnfall why should we let our son suffer? This is for his future, don't tell me that you don't want him to change?" To Arkady's surprise, Lyra was in favour of their son's decision. He was actually expecting her to be as adamant about this as him.

"Are you even aware of what you are saying? You are throwing our son into the tiger's den. It wouldn't take long for him to end up dead in some ditch there." Arkady was still stubborn about keeping Linri here.

"You know well enough that we 'have' to throw him into the tiger's den. I am not rising a good for nothing. I want the best for my son as well as you do, maybe even more than that. Don't belittle a mother's love for her children. Because of his situation, we wanted to let him lead a normal life but he himself wants otherwise. What's more, he has a chance, a chance to be the first mixed blood to awaken in history. You are talking about blocking his path to the future. We have already done that for the other one and it worked, why should we give Linri any different treatment? Also, don't forget how you were trained in your clan, it was way more dangerous than Autumnfall could ever be." Arkady struggled to answer Lyra.

This was a mother's love for her children. Sometimes it could be as gentle as the water of a flowing river, sometimes it could be as hard as granite and sometimes it could be as cruel as a desert sun. Mother's always wanted the best for their children and they wouldn't mind being the devil herself if they decided it was for the best.

Unfortunately, Arkady still refused. They kept on arguing until dinner before they could come to a consensus.
