Legacy of Forgotten Times 184 Dada!

"Hey mom," said Linri with a tired voice.

He got up from the ground with great struggle. This last day had hit him hard, like really hard. He just wanted to sleep for a whole week and not get out of the bed. He was lazy by nature and it really was out of character for him to try so hard. However, he also felt some gratification. Linri was about to fall when Richard caught him.

"Woah there, take it slow... so was it a success?" Richard asked. From what he could see there weren't any changes to Linri's body but he didn't seem like an out of control animal either. 

"What are you talking about?" Linri played dumb. He remembered how the ring was not able to suppress his bloodlines and how it got out of control but he did not know how he got here or about the ritual. He knew about it because he wrote it himself but the real Linri wouldn't so he had to play dumb about it. Also, he himself was a little confused about the situation. Originally he wasn't supposed to lose his memories during the ritual so as he had guessed Lyra's ritual wasn't really complete. If it was, it wouldn't have been this hard for him and he could have completed it the moment it started as he knew the trick to it.

"Also what's with mom's get up?" said Linri as he started to furiously scratch his head. For some reason, it was really itchy. When he looked at his hand it was covered in blood.

*Plop!*

Linri heard a weird gooey sound and he saw some fleshy thing fall to the ground. Was that an ear? Instinctively his hand went towards his ear and there was nothing there! Suddenly he started to feel dizzy and passed out again in Richard's arms.

"-da!" Linri heard a foreign baby-like voice in his ears. His chest also felt somewhat heavy. Ugh, he didn't want to get up this early in the morning. He felt cat-like claws pressing onto his face. The cat must have gotten hungry and trying to wake him up. Linri turned to the other side to keep sleeping but the cat didn't give up and pressed on his face again.

"Dada!" Linri heard the same baby-like voice again. He unwillingly opened his eyes to see a three-tailed fox cub looking at him. It had greyish white fur and azure blue eyes just like Linri's. What the hell was this?... Wox!? Seeing him wake up the wox cub jumped on his chest happily. Linri, on the other hand, was not pleased to see him. No, he was terrified!

"YEET!" Linri grabbed the wox cub and threw it at the door with all his strength.

Before you shout animal cruelty let him explain about the original wox cub he remembered. So, according to the original timeline, Linri unlocked his [Ex-Burst] in The False God event. After that event since the whole school was wrecked the teachers gave students two weeks off to spend time with their families. Basically, the club asked them to do a time skip. Max had thought it would be a perfect time to evolve Linri since he had gained enough points from the boss raid. And that's what he did and how his bloodlines clashing with each other became cannon. 

After the event, Linri was very depressed. His girlfriend Elizabeth had left the school and he was all alone. There came in his second girlfriend Nero. In The Invasion event, she died in Linri's arms so he became even more depressed and psychotic. The wox cub, Linri saw before his eyes just now, was the result of that. It was a tulpa and not the normal kind. Mind you at the time Linri had already gone through his first evolution and perfectly combined his bloodlines.

One neat new power he had in cannon was the ability to control illusions. But because the wox cub was a tulpa created by his deepest darkest fears in his mind, it had also become a real living being thanks to his newfound illusion related powers. So even though it looked like such a cute thing it was basically a demon from Linri's perspective. That was why he threw it to the door. If it was really wox that meant he was going crazy. He would kill that little monster with his own hands if he had to! Anyway, this was just another mistake of his edgy teenager mind. Everyone needed to know that mental illnesses weren't cool. They were a legitimate life-threatening illness so fuck you teenager Max! 

"What's going on?" Lyra opened the door to see Linri was finally awake. She was about to run and hug him when she noticed the poor little hurt wox cub in the ground.

"Linri Arkadyevich Harclaw! How can you hurt this poor little thing?" said Lyra as he held the wox cub in her bosom. How could her son be so cruel? She must have done something wrong while raising him.

Linri felt wronged as his ears fell down. Wait, fell down? Linri immediately checked his head. He grabbed a fluffy ear on his head and noticed his human ears were gone! WTF! He also flipped open the blanket to see three white fox tails hanging down from the side of the bed. His face immediately became as red as a tomato. When he had transformed in the fight against Rina he had not really given it a thought as his life was in danger but this was really embarrassing. Did this make him a furry now? AGH!!!!!!! Even the thought of it was enough to make him dig a hole and bury himself. This was just so embarrassing. He had tried to tuck away the tails but it didn't work either. Did he have to walk in the streets with these things? Someone, please give him a gun so that he can end his own life.

"Sweetie are you okay?" Lyra hurriedly rushed to Linri's bedside once he started to squirm in the bed. She was worried that there was some sequela left from the ritual. He was the first mixed-breed between a werewolf and a kitsune so she did not know if there was something wrong with him. He was basically a brand new species.

"Mom quick! How do you tuck these things away?" Linri grabbed Lyra's shoulders and asked her in panic. He didn't want anyone seeing him like this. 

"Tuck wh Oh. Ooooooh! Pfft, are you feeling embarrassed?" Lyra made fun of her son. She was relieved that there wasn't anything wrong with him.

"Of course I am feeling embarrassed! I am not a furry okay!" said Linri without thinking.

"What's a furry?" Lyra asked innocently.

Just now Linri was feeling like he couldn't be any more embarrassed but he found out that it couldn't be any more wrong. How the fuck was he supposed to explain to his mom what a furry was?

Seeing how Linri became red it wasn't hard for Lyra to guess it was something naughty. She wanted to tease him even more. It was even more fun than when she was teasing Arkady.

"Linri, sweetie, what's a furry? Is it a new slang for drugs? Should mom be worried? Maybe I should goodle it"

"NO! You can't! You absolutely can't!" Linri panicked. If she really goodled it he wouldn't be able to look her in the eye again.

As Lyra was teasing Linri the little wox cub left her embrace and jumped onto Linri's bed. Seeing that Linri's expression turned dark. He was about to grab that cursed thing again when he was stopped by Lyra.

"What are you doing?" Lyra asked. She did not know why he was so hostile towards this little critter. It was basically his son. He should have felt affectionate towards it but Linri wanted to kill it. That was wrong in more than one sense. He might not have known it due to his lacking knowledge when it comes to supernatural but this was basically his guardian beast but he wanted to kill it! If she knew this was how it was going to turn out she wouldn't have left it in his room.

"That... well, what is that?" since Linri could not explain to her that this was his tulpa he decided to feign ignorance.

"This little cutie pie here is my grandson and your offspring. Come here say hello to daddy!" said Lyra as she grabbed the little wox cub and lifted in front of Linri's face.

"Dada!" Linri heard the same baby-like voice again.

"..."

"What did you just say?" Linri finally caught onto what wox was calling him and coupled with what his mother just said his brain short-circuited. Him? A father? To this abomination? What? He didn't even get to enjoy the forbidden fruit in this body yet and he was already a father?
