Legacy of Forgotten Times 101 Everything goes to south

"Dammit!!" Hayato punched the table.

"What's going on?" Leslie asked through the comm.

"There was a hidden camera inside the statue in the middle of the room. They know we are here we need to go and go fast." Hayato furiously started to tap into the keyboard.

If what he said was right it shouldn't take long for them to find that some of the cameras are on the loop and if they are on the loop it means we are there. Shit!!

The medical liquid inside the glass tube started to drain and after it was gone the tube opened up. Linri quickly grabbed him. He was still unconscious.

"Hayato are you done deleting everything? We need to leave. Now!" Linri shouted at Hayato. There was no point left being silent now considering the loud alarm noises.

"Just giVE ME A GODDAMN MINUTE!!" Hayato shouted back at Linri. It seemed like he was more anxious than him.

Fuck!

Why did the plans did not specify the location of the camera inside the statue? Is it because Sarah did not know or was it something deeper? If they survive this shit he needed to give Sarah a private visit.

That was when Linri heard a gunshot.

"What the fuck!" Linri looked towards the location of the gunshot. The one who opened fire was Selim.

"2 guards are coming on my side. I shot one of them in the leg. They know we are here. We can't use the vents to get out know" Selim briefed them about the situation without him even asking about it.

Upon hearing this Leslie came down from the vents and she came to check the condition of Gendor.

"He should be fine just under the effect of sedatives." Leslie turned towards him after being done with the check-up.

"What are we gonna do?" She asked Linri seeing his silence.

That was what he wanted to know as well. Everything was out of his control and the only solution he came up with was killing their way out. I mean their plan to go out without fighting was already the moment the alarms sounded.

"Fight our way out obviously. Anyone got any objections?" Linri asked with a confident demeanour.

"None." The four answered simultaneously. Linri sighed with relief. He gently leaned Gendor to the wall and went next to Selim who was still shooting.

"Got any more guns?" Selim raised his eyebrow.

"Can you even shoot?"

"I don't have to aim. I just need to suppress them while you go inside the wall and ambush them. Actually, there is not even a need for that considering you can just phase through the bullets but we don't wanna show our cards to the enemy do we?" Selim fell silent when he heard that. Then a cruel smile appeared on his face while he took out another gun and handed it to Linri.

"This gun has 12 rounds. Don't waste them." He shot 2 more rounds while peeking around the corner and left.

Linri grabbed the gun tightly. He peeked around the corner and shot. His aim was horrible as it did not come anywhere close to the guards who were hiding behind the corner. The recoil of the gun was so much that he almost dropped it. His whole arm hurt with pain. His ears were banging and felt like he could not hear anything. It felt even louder when he shot it himself compared to when Selim shot it.

His heart was beating furiously, adrenaline was coursing through his veins. He shot 2 more times and stopped peaking around the corner. He checked Selim who was ready to ambush them from this side of the wall.

That was when Linri heard a gunshot from Luke's side.

"3 more coming in from my side." Luke informed them through the comms.

The situation was getting worse and worse. Linri looked towards Selim and nodded. Afterwards, he peeked and shot his gun 2 more times when he heard 2 more. One of the guys fall to the side and Selim walked out from the corner. When Linri was peeking he phased through the wall and shot them from back the back of their heads. Selim didn't waste time to strip them of their guns and magazines. Now they had 2 Galil-ARs[1] that they could use.

Linri ran towards Luke and signalled him to back away. Luke did not question him and after shooting a couple more shots he backed away from the wall. When he did Linri used his 'Ice Wall' ability to seal off the door. Since the area that the ice had cover was small Linri used his excess prana to raise its thickness to 50 centimetres. Combined with its 2x Exceptional endurance they needed to blow it up with a grenade or something if they wanted to come inside through this door.

Selim came back inside with the 2 ARs and threw one of them to Luke. Then Luke quickly checked the gun and fired one shot to calculate its recoil and nodded his head.

"Done." Hayato shouted.

Selim checked the perimeters together with Luke while Leslie and Linri were carrying Gendor. Hayato was coming behind them checking to see if anyone was coming behind them.
