Heavenly Star Chapter 185

After reaching the third level, the sensation that his body was exploding had completely disappeared. The remaining time was spent peacefully receiving the influx of the spiritual power of the heaven and earth. To reach the fourth level, the spiritual power needed was certainly greater than before, but the power that Heavenly Fire Dragon bestowed upon him was far greater, causing his power to rise all the way. Ye Wuchen opened his eyes. Before him was still the sea of lava, but the color was no longer purple, but red. The Heavenly Fire Dragon was silently looking at him, its expression was somehow weary that even its scarlet head looked dimmer.

“Alright, this is already my limit. After five thousand years, I will regain my power. But if I were to lose more than that, I will never be able to recover.” Heavenly Fire Dragon had a weary voice. Right now, its remaining power was inferior even to an enchanted beast, even the god-level experts of Heavenly Star Continent would be able to defeat it here in this place that was originally an unbearable temperature. The red flame and purple flame, the the temperature these colors represented was as different as sky and earth.

“Should I say thank you?” Ye Wuchen stretched his body and lifted his head to ask.

“Hehehehe, you need not thank me. I helped you for my own sake as well.” Heavenly Fire Dragon calmly replied.

“But I came here because of my own selfish desires. Thank you for helping me accomplish it. In the future, when I have enough power, I shall help you regain yours.” Ye Wuchen felt grateful, so he smiled a bit as he replied in a gentle voice.

Heavenly Fire Dragon burst out in laughter. “Hahahaha, I hear you, you cenrtainly have the confidence. Apparently, you seem to know that you possess a very strong power. I shall wait for that day then. If it was me, I would do the same as human beings seek stronger power… You must return now, with you standing here, you are stripping away my power every minute and every second. I am willing to help you, but I do not want destroy myself for you.”

Ye Wuchen nodded his head, “Before I leave, can I ask you two questions?”

“Go ahead and ask. As long as I know the answer, I will certainly tell you.” Heavenly Fire Dragon did not refuse.

Ye Wuchen immediately asked, “Since you know that the Southern Empire Sword was with me, you must be able to recognize its presence. Did you know anything about the whereabouts of the Northern Empire Bow?”

“The Three Major Forbidden Weapons possess powers that can rebel against the heavens. Whether human or god, they would want to take possession of them. The Southern Empire Sword and Northern Empire Bow wandered around the Heavenly Star Continent, and all these years, many people had attempted to find them. But they don’t know the rules of the forbidden weapons. Even if they were able to find them, it is impossible to obtain them. As for those who are truly qualified to obtain them, even if they do not deliberately go looking, it would still appear beside them. Will you still try to find them?”

Ye Wuchen went silent and shook his head, “No.”

The Southern Empire clan tried to find the Southern Empire Sword for a thousand years, but to no avail. Based on legend, it’s greater than the Star Cutter Sword and the Bow of Calamity and Suffering, yet nobody has seen it before, or even know its name. Its existence is merely a legend, do you about it?”

“Hehehehe… You asked well. In the entire Heavenly Star Continent, I alone know the answer.”

Upon hearing these words, Ye Wuchen’s spirits lifted.

“Its name had been forgotten a long time ago, so I also don’t know. Whether it existed or not, I’m also unable to confirm. I only know that whoever is able to obtain it will not just obtain the greatest weapon in all primal chaos, but they would also be able to travel back and forth through space at will, be able to back and forth to every corner of primal chaos while ignoring all the boundaries and rules. Being able to travel back and forth through space at will, and traveling to every corner of primal chaos caused his heartbeat to speed up uncontrollably. If the legend was true, by obtaining this weapon, he might be able to return to his planet and search for his past.

“Thank you for telling me this, I shall leave now.”

Coming here was originally to just attempt raising his powers, but now he had reaped something far greater than what he had expected. Not just increasing his power to an extent greater than what he had estimated, but he also obtained a terrible tiny fox more powerful than Tong Xin—Although, that might not be something good.

The Heavenly Fire Dragon suddenly called out to him. Its head turned and its eyes emitted faint red lights, shining upon the Heavenly Fire Dragon Fruit which was located at the center of the volcano. The red colored fruit was being sucked away as it separated from its stem, going towards the red light until it was in front of Ye Wuchen. Ye Wuchen stretched out his hand and held it the palm of the his hand. The feeling of smoothness and warmth spread out all throughout his palm.

“The legend that whoever eats this fruit would be able to greatly increase their power over fire, is it true?” holding it in his palm, Ye Wuchen looked up as he asked.

“Of course not. You are naturally attuned to fire as your fire magic was incomparably pure, purer than mine. But due to unknown reasons, it was prematurely forced open which isn’t a good thing. You must be able to detect that although you already have fire magic, it didn't improve along with the increase of your power. Moreover when casting it, the power needed is much larger.”

Ye Wuchen nodded. Not just fire, but the water, wind, thunder, earth, and death were all the same. These six elements had been forcefully opened by the Holy Blessing of the Qilin”.

“With my powers, your fire magic is now the same as your power, and it will increase as your power increases. Due to the pureness of your fire, when using it, whether speed or magnitude, it will certainly exceed others of the same rank. And after you eat this fruit, it will certainly increase your strength, and not just fire; it will ignite your potential powers for a limited time period, making your strength suddenly increase by maybe a few times, maybe ten times, or maybe hundred or even a thousand times. Regarding the amount of the increase, the duration of sustaining it completely depends on the amount of your potential powers but. I’m not able to confirm it. I’m similarly unclear about the side effects of eating it. If there comes a day wherein you are in a desperate situation, it might be able to save your life. And don’t worry, this fruit has already ripened, so even if is separated from the fire, it will not rot.”

Ye Wuchen nodded and put the Heavenly Fire Dragon Fruit inside the ring of the God of Sword, then gratefully said, “Thank you for your kindness. I must leave now, you must be tired. I will not interrupt your sleep anymore. In the future, maybe I will come here again to disturb you.”

“Go now…”

After speaking those final words, the Heavenly Fire Dragon’s tremendous head slowly sank into the lava. It would be sleeping now. Ye Wuchen turned around and left. After leaving the Heavenly Fire Volcano, he accelerated and he quickly rushed to Yan Long City.

Everytime his strength was increased, the transformation of his state of mind followed. Ye Wuchen’s speed right now was faster than before. His heart was worried about Ning Xue and Tong Xin. Running with all his strength, he could only see white shadows flash past.  He roughly estimated that with his current strength, using the classification used by the Heavenly Star Continent, had already reached the Middle Rank of the Spirit-Level, but if he was to fully use his powers, it would certainly exceed that. Even the greatest power in the entire Heavenly Star Continent was far inferior compared to his miraculous power.

Stretching out his right hand, a ball of scarlet flame ignited in his palm and Ye Wuchen’s mouth hooked up. His hand flinched backwards, and a dragon shaped flame more than two meters long shot out. The ground behind him was burnt and charred. Using his power as medium to release the fire, its speed would certainly stupefy those magical experts. And his fire magic was already similarly powerful to his own power. So it was he was like having a magical power of spirit level middle rank, but his strength was already greater than those spirit level middle rank wizards of fire.

But it was a little delusional to compare Ye Wuchen’s current magical power with Xue Feiyan’s miracle of freezing over the South Heaven River. Spirit-Level and God-Level seemed close, but it was like the difference between Mount Tai and a large mound of mud.

Before he reached the Yan Long City, Tong Xin, who had already detected his breath, brought Ning Xue along to welcome him. Feeling his power increase, Tong Xin delightfully laughed, her delicate eyebrows elaborately curled up. The next day morning, they left Yan Long City and set foot on their way to Tian Long City. The way back was not as anxious and nervous as their arrival, but their steps were obviously a little bit faster. Everytime Ye Wuchen thought of Ye Shuiyao, he always felt uneasy. He did not believe that this was baseless paranoia so he wanted to rush home to Tian Long City.

“Brother, what do you think Sister Meng and Sister Xue are doing right now?” Ning Xue asked. She got in touch with very few people because of her hair and appearance which made people despise her, so she cherished every person who did not hate her or who had treated her well.

“Your Sister Xue must have already returned to her Snow Palace. Your Sister Meng…” Ye Wuchen paused for a while, then said, “She just got home a while ago.”

“Huh? Brother, how did you know that she had just gotten home?” Ning Xue was curious.

Ye Wuchen hugged her tight, smiled and said, “I just know.”

The subtle spiritual contract allowed him to sense Yan Zhimeng’s location at any time. They had been parted from her for ten days now. A woman on a horse must have been faster, yet Yan Zhimeng had only now returned to the Northern Empire Clan. It seemed like had not gone that fast, possibly because she was hesitating about something along the way.

Could that place really be the Northern Empire Clan’s location? Ye Wuchen closed his eyes to firmly memorize the exact location of Yan Zhimeng in his heart. Whether it was the Southern Empire Clan leader, or the Northern Empire Clan leader, these two colossal beings’ locations were hidden extremely well.

The spiritual contract between him and Yan ZhiMeng was actually just a simple, one-sided spiritual connection, if Ye Wuchen wanted, he could easily cut it off.
