“Brother, why did she refused to pay attention to me?” Ning Xue asked with a little shock.

Ye Wuchen smiled and said, “Brother has told you before, she is a fairy who did not eat the food of mortals. They simply refused to pay attention to us mortal beings, but I believe that when Xue-er grows up she will be more beautiful than the fairy.”

His powers could penetrate through everything, so under his meticulous observation he then found out that this sword had a hollow center that even the Long Family did not find out about. Curious, Ning Xue and Tong Xin each stayed at his left and right sides, peeking through Ye Wuchen’s head. The scroll was fully opened, some delicate lines and black dots were sketched on it. “Brother, this is?” Ning Xue leaned on brother’s shoulder and asked curiously. She could not fully understand the things on the leather scroll. Tong Xin also could not understand it.

“It’s a map.” Ye Wuchen answered after a few glimpses, then he slowly flipped over the leather scroll and looked at the back.

At the back there was only a few lines of small blurry words. Ye Wuchen scanned through them and he was shocked. He closed his hands, completely closing the leather scroll, as his mind was deeply frightened.

“A map? For what location? Why would they hide this map inside, were they afraid that they might lose it?” Ning Xue asked.

“It’s a map that is of no use to us, yet it will be enough to trigger chaotic situations.” Ye Wuchen answered in a gentle voice. He tied the leather scroll again with the golden thread, but did not put it back inside the sword. Instead, he placed it inside his God of Sword’s ring. Although he could not use the map, he would not allow it to emerge before the eyes of the common people. Moreover, he did not want the Long Family to get it… Even if it did belong to the Long Family.

Ning Xue’s face was full of puzzlement, but she did not ask further. For her, these things were none of her business.

Picking up the two broken halves of the sword, he merging the severed parts. Ye Wuchen used one hand to hold the damaged portion, as his power slowly rushed forth. After quite a while, he moved his hand aside, with his forehead covered with sweat the broken sword was once again intact, without any marks left behind.

By this time, the rain outside had stopped and the clouds started to break up. Ye Wuchen took back the iron sword then carried Ning Xue and pulled Tong Xin’s hand along, “Let’s go.”

That afternoon, just like what Ye Wuchen had predicted, they arrived at the Xiang Yun City. They stayed at a small inn. Although Ye Wuchen did not bring a map, before they headed out he had familiarized himself with the map of Tian Long Nation by heart. The distance, the location, big and small cities, and towns he had already knew them well.

Two days later.

It was already the sixth day since they headed out from Tian Long City. Throughout their journey, they had proceeded without any obstructions, and did not meet with any twists and turns. Before their eyes now was the awe-inspiring and borderless dense forest. This forest was the dividing line between the Northern and Southern part of Tian Long Nation, and was the only way that one could take when heading south.

Looking at the color of the sky, Ye Wuchen said, “Xue-er, Tong Xin, looks like we will stay at this huge forest today.”

“En, great! Forests are what I like the most. Oh right, brother, can we taste some roasted meat tonight? I haven’t tasted it for quite a long time now.” Ning Xue twisted her body, blinking her big eyes as she asked. Looking at the forest, she thought of the time when she and Ye Wuchen first met. Everyday, they had been able to pick fruits from the forest and hunt small animals. After they entered the Ye residence, she ate only luxurious food with brother, but she would miss those times when she had roasted meat with brother. The young lady’s heart slowly transformed during those situations.

“Of course we can, there are so many small animals inside the forest.” Ye Wuchen answered smiling, but one thing that he failed to mention was that large beasts were also roamed the forest.
