Even though he was the number one killer, being tricked numerous times would anger anyone. The dagger in his hand now started to develop a bloody red glow that was two meters long, and  his eyes had turned bloody red as well. He violently swung a hand, the two thick and solid trees that blocked his way were cut into halves, accompanied by a very loud yell like that of a beast. With a murderous spirit, he charged at Ye Wuchen, his hand brandished the the sword, its red energy emitted with a tinging sound. He cut two huge trees as if they were soft tofu then launched them at Ye Wuchen’s, yet Ye Wuchen, who was miles away from him by the time, waved a hand as he escaped.

Tao BaiBai’s clothes which had been tattered due to the explosion now had a few more holes soaked with blood. Blood was also gradually oozing out from his feet, but under the extreme fury he did not care about the wounds on his body and feet. Fully utilizing his powers, he continue on, but without allocating additional concentration of his internal powers to control the wound on his feet, the would wounds surely open during his run, and the pain would affect his speed; Ye Wuchen had somehow lost some of his powers as his speed had gradually decreased, and so the distance between them had not increased by much.

They went closer and closer to the Devil’s Trap Pagoda. Ye Wuchen had deliberately proceeded in that direction, because that direction had the last two hidden trumps that was left to Ye Wuchen to deal with Tao BaiBai.

Even the strongest flames of fury could not be maintain for very long. The two white figures gave rise to powerful hurling winds in the dark forest. Tao BaiBai’s fury was beginning to dissipate as he finally calmed down somewhat. He vaguely saw Ye Wuchen turning in the distance and showing a weird smile on his face. He could not help dashing forward faster, and the soles of his feet deteriorated further.

Having learned his lesson, Tao BaiBai would not be fooled again, and he did not dare to more risks. He gathered all his powers from the rest of his body to the bottom of his feet. Under the protection of his powers, even the sharpest of swords could no longer hurt his feet.

When a person was at his peak of anger, he did not show the anger, on the contrary, a calmness congested with murderous intentions. Tao BaiBai’s eyes flashed red like fresh blood and his face was awfully sinister. Within his murderous spirit, he did not have the same outburst as before, and now had a very bone-chilling coldness. Facing Ye Wuchen, he did not launch any cruel attacks, but just stared like a viper, remembering every distinctive feature of every corner of the body before him.

The smile on Ye Wuchen’s face completely disappeared and turned into a full gloomy face, “Whoever wants to be Ye Wuchen’s enemy, should have had this realization. If you wish to take my life, even if you are the number one killer, I will make you realize regret… Well, are you feeling it now, Sweet smelling Tao BaiBai?”

“I regret…” Tao BaiBai said plainly, his voice extremely terrified, like a mummy that had been eroded for so many years suddenly started to open his mouth. Without the slightest hesitation, Tao BaiBai followed. If he was clever, he would have backed down for the time being, because danger lurked every corner of this Black Forest. But to turn around and escape after suffering from numerous shames and humiliations, he would lose his reputation as the number one killer. Moreover, how could he not have seen Ye Wuchen’s much weaker endurance. He could make him exhaust all his powers in just a matter of time, no matter how many traps were to follow were not considered a real threat. Even a Heaven-Shaking Mine had not damaged him fatally.

The minor wounds on Tao BaiBai’s feet had slowed him down, but the distance between the two of them was not too great. Ye Wuchen’s fingertip ignited a red flame, and he lit the ash gray thread that was wrapped around a tree trunk. His body did not hesitate, giving all his might to push his speed to the fastest and madly dashed ahead. After a few breaths, having already reached the hundred meter distance from Tao BaiBai, he ferociously dive into the three meter deep hole that was dug up few days ago and covered his ears immediately.

His and Tao BaiBai’s speeds, the distance between himself and Tao BaiBai, the time of the the thread’s ignition… every detail, Ye Wuchen had calculated carefully. The moment the fuse ran out, Tao BaiBai stepped on top of the pile of explosives. In an instant, a sudden chill went all over his body and a very intense feeling of an incoming crisis that had never happened before wrapped up his whole body and consciousness.

This is a feeling of despair…

In Tian Long City, which was twenty miles away, almost everybody heard a loud noise coming from the east. The people in the eastern side of the city even vaguely saw a strange white smoke floating up the sky.

In the middle of the Black Forest, the gigantic explosion left so many charred trees, huge and small cracks split open from the ground. In the center of explosion was the deep hole that was a horrible sight to behold.

Feng, Hua, Xue, and Yue were, by now, deep into the Black Forest but were still far from the explosion site. Still, they were affected by the explosion that caused them to stumble and completely stopped their steps. It bewildered them to see see the red light that flashed through and the white smoke that was soaring up to the sky.

Although he had covered his ears and was at a hundred meter distance from the explosion site, Ye Wuchen felt like the explosion had resounded right beside his ears. The sound had vibrated through his brain with a loud rumble, and the next moment, the deep hole that he was hiding in was showered by loose soil.

Ye Wuchen wiped off the black earth from the top of his head. Leaping out of the hole, he rapidly slapped off the dirt that covered his body. This time, the surrounding was full of destroyed branches and leaves. The direction of the explosion seemed to have left no trees standing; even lying on the ground, none were intact. The severe blast had exploded fragments everywhere.

The dense white smoke created by the explosion still had not dispersed, so the line of sight in the distance was still misty. Ye Wuchen had a smile on his mouth, “I won’t believe that this didn’t kill you.”

These explosives were the biggest trump he had against Tao BaiBai. The things prior were just simple tricks. When he predicted that Long Yin would hire a killer to dispose of him, the first thing that came to mind were these explosives. If the opponent were Heaven-Level, he would not have been able to best them. If he were to make use of the Ye Family’s military forces, he still would not be able to capture the opponent and therefore, would not find peace in the future. The opponent’s death was the best option, and he needed to use a method that was not known to this world. The explosives had been easy to manufacture and to kill with.

Everything carried out according to what he had anticipated. Nothing had escaped from his calculations, at least until this point.

Originally, everything should have concluded already and he would be returning to the Ye residence safely only to regard everything as if they did not happen. Except, a mishap had occurred at the final step, and this very minor accident was proving to be quite costly, enough to completely overturn the outcome.A man slowly walked out of the gradually dispersing smoke. His white clothes had disintegrated to the point that it was utterly unable to cover his body, missing half of his hair, his bare skin was littered with some tiny wounds, some oozed blood to soak into the white cloth that was already in strips. His footsteps was still steadily calm, the beam of the dagger was the same as before, the murderous spirit in his eyes was still serious, and his grandeur did not decrease a bit.

Standing at the center of the explosion, he only suffered from some shallow wounds, none were anywhere near his vital parts.

The pupils of Ye Wuchen’s eyes violently contracted and his heart froze as he was unable to believe his own eyes.
