Ye Wuchen did not expect that he would one day assume the position of being an escort to school. And not that he also had the concurrent jobs of a bodyguard and an instructor for her lessons. Who told her to be his future wife? He still refused to recognize it and Princess Fei Huang still had not revealed her true purpose for accepting the marriage.

When Ye Wuchen started to approach the Flying Phoenix Pavilion, a maid was already one step ahead of him. Now close to the Flying Phoenix Pavilion, she yelled softly, “Princess, he has arrived.”

The excited voice of Long Huang-er echoed from the inside, “You should all leave, without delay. Nobody will be allowed to be nearby, no matter what kind of sounds you will hear you will not be allowed to enter!”

The maid quickly responded, and her thoughts observed a brief moment of silence as a tribute to the future son-in-law of the Emperor. Every time Princess Fei Huang made such command, somebody surely suffered afterwards. Not long ago, the Emperor had invited several teachers for her, and one by one they suffered pitiful ends. The Emperor could only respond with a bitter laugh, and could not truly rebuke her.

The maid hung her head down low all the way, and did not dare to look at Ye Wuchen. Her footsteps were obviously hasty in leading Ye Wuchen to the Flying Phoenix Pavilion. She bowed, then said in a low voice, “Master, the princess is waiting for you inside. I will take my leave now.”

Without even waiting for Ye Wuchen to respond, she already hurriedly left after she spoke, giving the implication that she was fleeing.

Ye Wuchen shook his head, feeling somehow ridiculous. He proceeded to the door and knocked,, “Your Highness, Wuchen is here to see you.”

“Come in, come in quickly!” Princess Fei Huang’s response immediately echoed, the tone of her voice sounded like she was impatient.

When Ye Wuchen’s hand touched the door, he sensed a concentrated element of water up ahead and a corner of his mouth pulled up. Determining its exact position, he fiercely pushed open the door, then sealed it shut, then pushed the door open again. His chained movements had been accomplished in quick succession, but he then slowly walked inside.

That bucket of water that was originally propped on top, at first it had fallen, then was knocked away by the door into a beautiful arc. Unfortunately, it flew towards the happy and excited little princess. Too bad that when the bucket reached the top of the princess’s head, it tilted a little bit, and immediately, the bucket full of cold water splashed down onto the body of the little princess. This flying phoenix had turned into a drowned phoenix dripping with water from head to toe.

Ye Wuchen, with a face full of surprise, treaded across the floor full of glass beads like he was treading on level ground, running to Princess Fei Huang who was drenched in water. He asked like he was deeply concerned, “Princess, why did you drench yourself in water? How can we handle it if, by chance, you were to catch a cold?”

Princess Fei Huang was shaking uncontrollably, having heard what he said she pitifully blinked her eyes, then she cried loudly. At this moment, a strong wind launched towards Ye Wuchen’s right side.

It was a less than a meter long striped snake, the exclusive pet of Princess Fei Huang, named Xiao Hua. The striped snake had been tamed by the best animal trainer in the palace and it did not bite. Ever since it had fallen to Princess Fei Huang’s hands, it had learned many tricks to scare people away. It launched against Ye Wuchen like an arrow, its mouth opened wide, revealing two sharp and pointed venomous fangs. When it started doing its tricks, it had caused so many people to be scared witless and flee in disarray while the timid ones almost fainted due to fright.

But coming across Ye Wuchen, it was bound to suffer from bad luck along with its owner Long Huang-er.

Ye Wuchen calmly and unhurriedly clipped it with two of his fingers, exactly pressing on the vital part of this unlucky snake. The striped snake’s body went stiff, as if it has suddenly dropped dead and its body became more flexible. With his face full of smiles while facing the crying little princess, he said, “It seems like Your Highness is fond of playing with snakes. Does this striped snake have a name?”

While he was speaking, he carelessly held the striped snake as he approached her. The snake that had been limp and weak suddenly started to struggle hard because of some unknown reason with its mouth opened excessively wide. In Ye Wuchen’s hands, it happened to move closer to the direction of Long Huang-er’s face.

Long Huang-er’s small face turned white, she was so scared that she had stopped crying. Though she did use this snake as a pet to frighten people, but during ordinary days, aside from the maid bringing it in to scare people, she had never dared to look at it. These kind of vipers were naturally ill-matched with women, so the gradually approaching venomous mouth of the viper made her terror-stricken. She eventually screeched out loud and despite being dripping wet, she fearfully ran out. Stepping on the glass balls at the doorway, she slipped and her small buttocks heavily fell onto the floor, the pain caused her to cry aloud once again.

If it was before, the crying of this small master would scare the nearby guards and they would come running. Unfortunately she had commanded that, no matter what kind of sounds they heard, they were not to come near her place. Hence, she cried for help but to no avail.

Ye Wuchen hurriedly went to her, helping her up, and asked with a face full of concern, “Princess, what happened to you? Why did you run when you saw me? Your father has already betrothed you to me, after all.”

Before Long Huang-er could speak, she felt a slippery sensation in her hand. She turned around to look and was immediately frightened. She screeched because, as it turned out, the striped snake had coiled itself around her hand during its constant struggle.

“Quickly throw it away… I’m afraid of snakes. I’m afraid of snakes… Waaaaaa…”

Aside from Long Huang-er’s grievance and fear, she was unable to deal with anything else. Her face was full of sparkling and translucent teardrops, as if she had just suffered from an enormous rejection. Her hair and body were wet and she was miserable.

Ye Wuchen glanced at the striped snake in his hand, puzzled and asked, “Oh? Isn’t this the princess’ pet snake? Don’t tell me you don’t personally keep it?”

“No… No… You should quickly throw it out!” Long Huang-er shouted in panic. Her body hid in Ye Wuchen’s embrace to drive off the coldness in her body and the fear in her heart. All these years, this was the first time she suffered from such a huge grievance.

Ye Wuchen flung his hand to throw the pitiful snake to the ground, then said with a smile, “Princess, snakes are actually not scary, and not only that, they are also amusing creatures.”

“You-you are lying!”

“Okay, I’ll show you how to have fun with it. Look closely.” Ye Wuchen turned Long Huang-er’s body around, focusing her gaze on the striped snake that was trying to escape. He smiled and said mysteriously, “Now, let it wrap itself into a circle.”

At Ye Wuchen voice, which seemed to contain some peculiar magic power, the snake actually curled itself up. Its diameter grew bigger and bigger, until the snake’s head bit the tail, gradually adjust itself to form a perfect circle, presenting itself in front of the little princess.

“Did you see that?”

Long Huang-er opened her small mouth wide, her eyes stared widely, she was so amazed that she stopped her crying and forgot the chill she felt on her body.

“Now, it will form two circles.”

A light flashed through Ye Wuchen’s eyes. His spiritual powers were enough to give a very simple spiritual hint to an ordinary person. Though he was unable to exercise control over an individual’s body, to take control of a small snake was considered an easy task.

The body of the striped snake immediately moved as if it was being controlled and quickly coiled to form a number eight.

“Then… into a boat.” Ye Wuchen mischievously laughed, looking at Long Huang-er’s emotionless expression with satisfaction.

The snake’s body unfolded. Stretching its tail, the middle part of its body flattened into a sunken shape, forming a boat.

“Now, let’s do something more difficult… Let’s make a square frame.”

“En, let’s try the most difficult one. Form a small pentagon.”

When the snake formed its body to the shape of a heart, it had already been tormented to the point that it prefered to die than live a miserable life. Long Huang-er’s eyes became brighter and brighter, as if she had been embedded with two small shining stars. Long Huang-er flattened her mouth, her eyes became misty with tears, and she had completely forgotten that she had intended to use the snake to scare Ye Wuchen. She used her hands to hug his chest pitifully to get rid of the coldness in her body.

Ye Wuchen used his hands to brush her hair, using the power of water to remove all the water, then used a warm current to take away the remnants of the coldness. His hands slowly move downwards, gradually removing the traces of water and the freezing coldness from her body, while rebuking her, “Princess, of all the interesting things, why did you choose to play with water? What if you caught a cold?”

Ye Wuchen extended his left hand and opened it before Long Huang-er’s eyes. His palm was empty. He slowly closed it, then quickly opened it once more. His palm now contained a fully bloomed flower, a small pinkish red flower dripping with dew.

Before Long Huang-er could react in amazement, Ye Wuchen closed his hand once more, and when it opened, it was empty again. The beautiful blooming flower reappeared when he closed and opened his hand once more. Long Huang-er’s eyes flickered with the brightness of the stars. She could not help extending her arms to take it in her hands, “Isn’t this the Fei Huang flower from my courtyard?”

‘Fei Huang flower? This little princess must have named the flower after herself.’ Ye Wuchen thought.

When he had passed by the front yard, he picked it up and put it inside the ring of the God of Sword. He simply used this ring of the God of Sword and involved no other skills, but  so-called “magic” easily attracted this little princess’ eyes.
