But the black thorn was persistent, it didn't let up even after sensing that Wang Ling was getting away. Instead, it tried to get to him even more so than before.

More black thorns sprouted from the ground. The black thorn began attacking the ferocious Oceanic Beasts. It did not matter if it was ancient beasts that had been slumbering for millions of years, the black thorn attacking everything it could get it could latch on.

The black thorn was aware of what is happening, and it is trying to get Wang Ling, the reason? He did not know. But Wang Ling knows if he was to get caught, he will surely breathe his last.

It must not happen. He brought out his swords and got ready to take up arms and draw out everything than die without doing anything. The many cards up his sleeves may just be revealed right now if he is not so careful.

The young beastman could hear the faint voice of the Beast God's soul, telling him that it is going to be fine. A faint image of an old man emerged from his back, the old man stood there with an awe-inspiring posture.

His body was emanating a primordial beast-like aura and from within his body the roars of beasts was heard. A pressure came out of his body and put a stop to the tremors of the mountain.

He turned around, and was about to say something but like black lightning, the thorn wriggled towards the soul of the Beast God and pierced his body, "Th–the bastard, did the Black Dragon die already? Shit, the old Death is about to escape!"

The thorn pierced the body of the old man and run through the body of the young beastman. The young beastman's eyes wavered as he watched his blood drip and dry out as soon as the thorn got in touch with it.

The young beastman's showed signs of regret. Two days ago the will that was stuck in his body had already disappeared. Sadness filled his eyes, and the image of a young child flashed just before he breathed his last.

[I am sorry, I failed.] His journey had ended as his body got corrupted with the aura of death. His body that had been filled with vitality began to dry out, his blood disappeared and the aura of death was absorbed by the thorn.

Fjord died without his tale being ever told. He is but a part of the vicious cycle of death and rebirth. Sadly, his dream of becoming a famed cultivator disappeared with his life.

The first layer of the battlefield was being ravaged. The line between the second and first layers began to thin, soon, the second layer would join the first and it too will suffer the same fate as the first.

The evil is contained in the Black Dragons Final Battlefield had been freed. Its chains is crumbling and its freedom is within reach. The beings of this realm is its nutrition, this layer is just the first course of its dinner, and the second layer shall be the main course.

With the thorns appearing everywhere, the power of the thorn is being revitalized. It was getting stronger and the being that is being held captive in the depths of this world is using the power it absorbs to deteriorate the barrier that is placed on it.

The barrier slowly but surely began to open, the Battlefield was slowly being seized and three minutes later, the battlefield was locked out from the inside, not letting the aura of death escape. The death aura spread throughout the land, corroding everything and everyone it catches.

The death of thousands was sure to follow, the people who was sent here in order to be protected died on the inside much easier if they were on the outside.

The earthquake began to intensify, the barriers that should open thousands of years later began to crumble and the people who were hiding from the thorns were slowly suffocating from the death aura and the laws of this world is slowly being altered by the being's escape.

Up north, an eight-wined devil emerged. With it were seven thorns trying to devour it like the others. Wang Ling used his strength to resist, while others were incapable of dealing with the thorns, his sword and his q was managing to keep it from devouring him, at least to the barest minimum he can take.

His body is currently in an abnormal state. It is drawing too much qi from the Blood Hell Pearl and it is currently too active. The blood from the Blood Hell Pearl is also yet to be completely consumed, the power it holds is still to be fully unfolded.

Wang Ling raised his sword and got ready to fight, he was not exhausted it was actually the opposite. He was energized, because once again, Wang Ling is drawing power from that place.

A place where nothing exists, a plane where only he can tap. A place where everything started.

His sword was reflecting his energy and as his blade finally reached the peak of something, he will reach another layer. His sword is already the quintessence of killing, but it was still seeking for something more.

And as Wang Ling fought with the black thorns more, he roared aloud and in a single sword slash, he made the seven thorns disappear.

He was out of breathe, but as he felt proud of his achievement, a hundred thorns replaced the seven and as he smiled, the thorns rained upon him and carved his flesh.

Wang Ling's blood rained down from above.
