Celestial Peak 228 The First Day

The heat was too strong for them which resulted in them to head up to the skies. But to their dismay, Yan Renhuo was not some non-versatile lady because as they head upwards, the flames began to dance with the sway of the halberd she had brought out.

Every swing of hers dominated everyone present. Those who tried to escape could not make a move and in a manner of seconds, those who tried opposing her was scorched without mercy.

As flames danced with the sway of her halberd and the dance of her hair, Yan Renhuo seemed to be a goddess of war. She was in command of the battlefield so much so that no one dared to make any move… only 10 people could move forward if you survive then you get to get going, risking it to take out a single person was not worth it.

On the other side of the array was another group of people fighting each other. Their sword clashes were heard and their bloodlust was piercing the skies. The two youths from the restaurant was there not moving unless they absolutely need to and they only move in order to take down anyone who dared to move against them.

The two people's performance was good enough that none dared to make any more moves against them soon after.

While some were moving around using their heads on the side of the two youths, Wang Ling's side seemed to have been with useless braggarts and young masters who know nothing of not disturbing a dragon.

As he stood there with Bai Xue watching Yan Renhuo while sitting atop his head, seven youths wearing luxurious clothing approached him slowly. They were flowing with an overwhelming amount of qi and confidence. They seemed sure about their decisions about approaching Wang Ling.

"Son of Heaven, my name is Yan Chenyu, come and face me…" That man never really got to finish his words nor anyone managed to make any follows up because Wang Ling already moved in their midst before they can utter another syllable.

Wang Ling moved like the wind as he brought out two ordinary blunt swords and hit the arrogant bastards on the back of their head to put them to sleep. He controlled his strength so none should have lost their lives, even without his flames he was still deadly.

"We are watching Renhuo's performance, get out of the way." He commented and returned to watching the 'show'. Not interested in cannon-fodder, Wang Ling and Bai Xue continued to watch.

Many saw Wang Ling's movements and they were awed. They became flustered at his efficient movements and chose of sword paths. But most importantly, they were amazed at the fact that the fox on top of his head did not even budge as Wang Ling twisted his body both left and right and up and down.

Such a mysterious thing amazed many, Wang Yue and Wang Hong was one of these many people. Well, not taking into account his ridiculous image with a white fox riding on top of his head, Wang Ling's every action seemed like he was mocking everyone.

But against their knowledge, Wang Ling was merely moving at the required pace and nothing more. He was not trying to get anyone down, he was merely doing what he usually does and he could not find anything wrong about that so he disregarded the stares of everyone.

"He is far too arrogant. Son of Heaven my ass, he is nothing but an arrogant lad who will fall in the face of the top rankers. Does he dare act like he is someone big? Does he really think everyone is beneath him?" Some man shouted such complaints from the crowd.

"Oh, fuck off! It's not like you can do what he does anyway. Can you even take any of them? No, much less a bunch of them at the same time! If you're going to complain stop looking at stare at the other battles!" And when there are haters, there would be supporters.

"That's right! What gives you the right to criticize him!? Senior Wang Ling is so handsome and strong, he is kind and gentle to those who is not his opponents (according to rumors) so what gives you the right to say he's arrogant? He merely took care of his opponents in the most efficient way possible." If there are the supporters, die-hard fangirls follow closely behind.

And with three people like them present, an argument erupted which Wang Ling could hear but does not care as his attention was stolen away by the graceful and forceful performance of Yan Renhuo.

Two sides were left with no chaos and Wang Ling was left to watch Renhuo's movement without trouble. This was his first time seeing her fight, and he had to say, it was truly a sight to see in many ways than one.

Yan Renhuo's halberd was like a serpent on a raging stream. It never stops and was unstoppable. Whoever attempts to block it, her halberd merely slows down for a little bit before destroying the opposition without a problem.

Even Wang Ling could see her every movement had little to no flaws. Also, what baffled Wang Ling the most was the fact how her flames responded to her every movement as if it too had a mind of its own, he came to the conclusion it had also reached the third ignition.

She was talented indeed and from start to finish, she was the only one in the array who had been fighting nonstop but she had yet to even broke a sweat. And as the opponent around her dwindle to ten, Yan Renhuo finally stopped her halberd for a moment.

Silence prevailed as a gust of wind blew. The flames that scattered all over began to gather around her halberd. She showed a smile to the crowd. Yan Renhuo's eyes showed a dangerous glint.

"[Fire Dragon's Tail]!" Yan Renhuo shouted on top of her lungs and the flames converged on the tip of her halberd. As if her flames had manifested a true dragon's tail, she waved her flames around and decimated the filled and once everything settled down, only destruction came to light.

Ninety-five percent of the Elimination Trial representatives had been taken out by Yan Renhuo alone and as she stood there with a halberd in one hand she had not even broken a sweat and upon seeing Wang Ling from the side, she merely waved at him saying.

"Hello there, Brother Ling." She sounded like an innocent maiden in love. A complete contrast to the scene of carnage she had created.

That day was the day that Wang Ling and Bai Xue finally understood the danger and power Yan Renhuo carried behind her. And as the two wondered if Yan Renhuo were to never encounter Alchemy, just how strong would she be now?

Will she reach the Celestial God Stage at the age of 30? Wang Ling thought it was a possibility.

The Elimination Trial had ended and only five participants managed to survive the whole ordeal. Wang Ling, Bai Xue, Yan Renhuo, and the two mysterious youths by the side.
