Celestial Peak 186 The Auction begins

At some point in Xie Hai's speech, everything seemed to grow cold. It was but an instant, but many had their hairs stand to an end. They felt their hearts beat so fast they thought it would burst.

But that was merely a split-second moment, as Wang Ling controlled his killing intent and smiled at Xie Hai brightly.

"For someone who had lived normally and given the privilege to train in the most favorable environment for twenty-nine years, you seem to as weak as a worm Xie Hai."

Xie Hai's brows twitched as he heard Wang Ling's words, "What did you just say!?" He was angered.

Wang Ling did not give a single care about his anger as he smiled mockingly, "You are a genius and you could not understand my words? Dear Lords, it seems like cultivating too much without any progression can have an effect of the brain of a 'genius'. What a pity, it is, truly, what a pity it is." Wang Ling did not continue his words.

Xie Hai could feel the never-ending contemptuous gaze of Wang Ling, anger boiled in his heart and he was just about to speak but a unique laugh echoed out, "Shi shi shi, what a joke!"

Not needing to spend a lot of time to find the person who laughed at him, Xie Hai had already seen the cheeky smile of Bai Xue who was laughing to the point of derision. She was standing on top of Wang Ling which made the scene rather comical, but Wang Ling's identity managed to shut the people.

"A mere pet dare laugh at me?"  

Bai Xue continued to laugh at Xie Hai and as a single tear escaped her eyes from laughing too much, Bai Xue spoke, "Little imp, do not speak any longer, my ears will get itchy when it hears words coming from trash-like human like yourself. Run along now little imp, you will only get devoured if you say anymore regarding the Little Lass of the Wang Family."

Xie Hai sneered and asked, "Who would dare devour me? The Wang Family? Do you think they have the balls to truly start a war for a little disgrace that is not actually related to them? Huh? Do you…" words stopped as Bai Xue's eyes turned fierce.

Although she had a smile on her face just like Wang Ling, the irritation behind them was too deep to be measured, "Speak little imp, speak up, utter another word, and you will know if my words rang true. Speak little imp, I dare you to do so… hmph, you're too cowardly, you do not even deserve the title of imp, you will now henceforth be known as worm like Ling over here had said. This time, it was Wang Ling's turn to laugh out loud, even Qifu who had been keeping silent by the side chortled at Bai Xue chiming in and protecting the Young Miss of the family.

Qifu nodded his head and bowed at Xie Hai to show his 'respect' for the opposition before following Wang Ling inside. The gesture would have been appreciated if not for the face that Qifu's face was too stiff to as he had been trying to keep the laughter from bursting.

The common people watching the whole scene to play out had the same expression as Qifu, but they dare not laugh out loud for they did not want to incur the wrath of Xie Hai.

But Xie Hai was not stupid. After regaining himself, he noticed the reaction of the people and entered the auction house with his face alternating color from red to purple.

Inside the auction house, Wang Ling was directed by some staff into the third VIP room of the upper floors. The VIP room he was in was truly luxurious and it even had different kinds of ores built onto the walls to regulate the temperature into the most optimal state.

Wang Ling sat comfortably on a chair with the whole auction house in full view. He was inside one of the three most luxurious rooms of the auction house, the third VIP room was situated on the floors with the stage right in front of the room.

He had a full view of the whole event. This room was one of the most expensive rooms a cultivator could ask for. An ordinary cultivator might even be able to afford such a room as a stay inside it costs 10,000,000 stellar stones.

Such a price tag was enough to make anyone dizzy. But Wang Ling was not lacking in stellar stones, he had too much of them in fact. With him not needing to absorb the qi of the stellar stones for he had an insane amount of spirit plants and pills after all those raids he had done, Wang Ling was filthy rich is what I am trying to say.

"First Young Master, do you wish to order something to eat? The auction house provides such service for free to those who seat on one of the three VIP rooms." Qifu asked.

Wang Ling said nothing but Bai Xue asked for everything they could deliver.

Having no interest to dine, Wang Ling asked about the situation of the auction house. Qifu listed the names of the many big fish that had come to the auction house but the things that made him smile the most was the fact the information regarding the people residing in the second and third VIP room.

"The Young Master of the Feng Clan is in the second VIP room and one of the Grand Elders from the True Devil Academy is at the first VIP room. Now, that is pretty convenient is it not?"

The Feng Family was one of the five sword clans he would need to visit in order to retrieve a fragment of Blood Seeker. It was a mega powerhouse that might become the enemy of the Wang Family if approached incorrectly.

As for the True Devil Academy, Wang Ling was just happy to know that they were here. He was not worried about them being here. After all, they would be one of his men in the future so why worry?

With his mind wandering about and Bai Xue munching on a slab of meat while seating on his lap, the auction began.

The auction was hosted by a beautiful and alluring woman who had the right curves on the right parts. With a voluptuous breast and supple behind, her mere presence managed to invoke the phenomenon of transforming the wriggly worms of men to might soldiers that is ready to for intense battle, or so the men hoped.

"She's using a seduction technique to appeal to the men in the room." Wang Ling commented.

The woman with the voluptuous body stood in front of the stage and introduced herself to the crowd:

" My name is Xiaorong, and I will be the host of today's auction. The Red Devil Auction House had managed to gather a great number of rare resources that could only be found in the most dangerous parts of the realm. From weapons and Martial Techniques to Natural Treasures birthed by the world, the auction this day would have them all and so, without further ado, let us start the auction!"
