Celestial Peak 167 Blood Seeker

Yan Renhuo saw a brand new Wang Ling who was neither calm nor indifferent from what other people see. Wang Ling was at this moment yearning for something, those eyes of his speaks of his desires.

Wang Ling read through the books and found it odd. Dragons were being to hold grudges. The dragon was the white dragon that Bai Xue spoke of and the unfinished business should be her as well.

But that dragon had yet to descend. Is it making light of Bai Xue? Well, she is trapped and her cultivation was a wreck. But if a dragon was dedicated enough to make a vow, why would it not descend for another time?

Standing in front of the Ancient Scriptures Academy's gates, Wang Ling and Yan Renhuo stared at each other. Wang Ling smiled at her as he found her sudden increase in cultivation truly magnificent.

The thought of marriage once again entered his mind. But as his mind was still muddled, it is not the time to marry someone. He sighed as he thought.

[Relationships is hard. Familial relationship is easier.] Wang Ling thought, his thoughts were so because he had never seen any unbearable family member. But if Wang Hong turned out to be someone who ended up as an enemy rather than an ally, he was sure that having a family would be as fun and fulfilling. 

Wang Ling put on a smile as he found it amusing that he was now considering such thoughts. In the past, such an idea would not even cross his mind much less consider it.

[Marriage… I still can't indulge in anything other than gaining strength. Only personal strength can ensure that I'll be able to live without that constant fear… I can't have them leave my side anymore.]

Wang Ling sighed as he patted Yan Renhuo's shoulders and said, "I will see you later, I wish we will meet without me asking any favors."

"You need not worry about these matters, I am well aware that Brother Wang is someone who is busy. Ease your mind, such matters do not amount to much." Yan Renhuo answered.

Wang Ling bowed to her as he said, "The Ten Year Bout, I will be there, let us meet there if we get the chance."

Yan Renhuo watched as Wang Ling's speeding figure disappeared from her sight. She smiled wryly as she thought, "The Ten Year Bout, huh. I guess I'll try and enter that competition. Fighting with Brother Wang seems interesting. I want to see him again soon."

She sighed and realized that at the moment she did not only admire his strength but also longed for his affection and presence.

Yan Renhuo turned back and returned to the academy. By the time she returned to her mountain peak, everything was already cleared and the students who got beaten up by Wang Ling were all gone.

She entered her abode and was ready to take a rest, cultivating will come later, she needed to recover some of her qi. The two books she had received from Wang Ling might be interesting but that it could wait.

She entered her abode and was surprised to see someone sitting on the sofa in her living room.

Yan Renhuo was surprised. She bowed and then spoke, "Master, what are you doing here? I thought you were preparing to reach Celestial God Stage?"

The Flame Mistress smiled at Yan Renhuo as she boldly announced, "Pack your things, you're following me to Tranquil Empire. The Emperor of that place asked me to save his daughter."

Yan Renhuo was now headed to the Tranquil Empire.

Wang Ling was flying on the skies and as the skies brightened, Bai Xue ruffled inside his clothes and jumped out. She promptly transformed into a blue Dragon, but that dragon was different.

The Dragon had the wings of the Phoenix and on its claws were the clouds of the Phantom Tiger. Wang Ling did not need any words to get on Bai Xue's back.

The two quickly disappeared as Bai Xue's speed suddenly surge and it became the speed of someone that had long surpass saints.

While Bai Xue was flying, she noticed Wang Ling's current expression.

Wang Ling seemed to be out of it and remembered the earlier events. Piecing together Wang Ling's past and the earlier events, Bai Xue had a realization and spoke.

"You do not want to remember your pas yet you wish to collect the sword that connects you to it, why is that?" Bai Xue asked a preemptive question.

Wang Ling was rather surprised to hear Bai Xue's question, "That's rare, are you perhaps worried about me?"

Bai Xue did not pay any heed to his teasing as she continued, "You're not stable, Wang Ling. Your whole being is reeking of killing intent even when your opponent is something that does not have any qualifications to be killed.

"You have always been ruthless, I have seen you act, but since you woke with your body drenched in cold sweat, you have been killing as if you wish to bury your worries with the blood of your enemies. What is it that you want to bury, Wang Ling?"

This time, Wang Ling was silent, he did not expect for such a topic to appear out of nowhere. For Bai Xue to suddenly speak of this matter, he was caught off guard.

He sighed as he knew what Bai Xue had said was correct. He mulled over it and before long, he decided to speak, "I do indeed have problems of my own. But, you need not worry about them, once I reach Celestial Phase, these nightmares and problems will disappear."

Bai Xue looked at Wang Ling, her eyes carried many emotions.

Bai Xue spoke with dignity. But as she recounted every word she had said, her face reddened and she roared before increasing her pace.

Wang Ling, on the other hand, was looking at Bai Xue, his face carried a soft smile in his heart he said, [Thank you.]

Those words carried more weight than Bai Xue could ever imagine and at this moment, Wang Ling closed his eyes and after doing so he fell asleep.
