"I'll think of a way to keep her under control," Jiang Changzai said through clenched teeth.

Zuo Qiu knocked on the office door that afternoon. He had a doc.u.ment in a leather file held in his hands. "Master Yan, the laboratory had this sent over."

Yan Beicheng nodded as he took the file. Zuo Qiu left the office.

After he closed the door, Yan Beicheng took the report out from the file.

The report was for Lin Chu and Dai Huimin. It was not difficult to get a sample off Dai Huimin.

When Huang Changxian had previously reported to him that Dai Huimin had brought Lin Chu's to the orphanage on her birth date, Yan Beicheng had given Huang Changxian instructions to get ahold of Dai Huimin's hair, or anything similar that will be of use.

Lu Weining stopped breathing at that moment. She saw the change in Yan Beicheng's expression, but it had no negative effect on his good-looking face.

The lighting in his office was bright, outside the French windows is the bustling night view. But Yan Beicheng would not even give her what little she had asked for. For Lin Chu, he had owed favors everywhere just to deal with Xing Chuang.

Lu Weining was hit with a pang of sadness. As her heart ached, her eyes turned red. She looked full of grief.

When Yan Beicheng did not give her any reaction, she steeled herself and opened the box of cake. She was slightly drunk and her cheeks were rosy red. She looked at Yan Beicheng, captivated. "Now that I'm all grown up, I've never had a birthday cake for so many years. I got a little excited and bought one on impulse when I walked past the bakery."

Yan Beicheng did not look at her but lowered his gaze at the cake. He suddenly stood up slowly. His long, slender fingers held on to the cake tray and he threw the entire cake into the rubbish bin.

As Lu Weining had only thought it would be the two of them, she got a 6-inch cake, which was not too big. It was no bigger than the rubbish bin.

The cleaning lady had just cleaned the bin right before office hours were over and had changed a new rubbish bag. The cake had hit the bottom of the bin with a loud bang. The exquisite cake turned into mush within seconds.

Lu Weining's gaze widened. "Beicheng, you…"

"I've said this before, don't call me Beicheng. It makes me disgusted to hear you call me that!" Yan Beicheng clenched his teeth.

Security had not got off work yet at this hour, but they were not on duty at the office entrance and were in the security office. After 10 pm, they would inspect the entire building and turn off any lights left on and lock all the doors.

Yan Beicheng did not even want to touch Lu Weining. He picked up the intercom on his table and pressed a number that connected him directly to the security's office. "What is security doing? Can't you see an outsider has been let in? Don't you even know when someone has entered the office? Get someone in right now to escort this person away!"

Yan Beicheng slammed the phone down after his scolding. When he looked up, Lu Weining was crying.

Yan Beicheng did not want to bother himself with her. He had already tried to make her understand numerous times. It looked like it would be just a waste of words to explain again.

No one was sure what Lu Weining had thought about to stop crying so miserably, but her tears still streamed down continuously. She did look quite pitiful.

She covered her face with her hands as her tears streamed through her fingers. "It's my birthday today, my birthday! I just want you to accompany me for my birthday, make a wish with me and blow out the candles. All I ask is ten minutes of your time, is that too much? Why must you throw the cake away? Are my feelings that worthless to you, is it so cheap that it's not worth mentioning at all?"

Yan Beicheng was so annoyed that he did not want to talk to her. If it was not the fact that he did not want to touch her, not even a small part like her wrist, he would have thrown her out long ago.

It was only then that he realized that he was clean freak over this.

When it came to women he did not like, it felt dirty to just even touch them.

Zuo Qiu had gone to the bathroom for his number two, which was why he did not stop Lu Weining coming in.

He pulled up his pants with a cigarette in his mouth and threw the butt into the toilet bowl to flush it away. When he came out, he heard a voice coming from the office. It sounded like a woman and it was not Lin Chu.

Zuo Qiu was alarmed. He did not expect to have such bad luck. It only took a while for him to be in the bathroom and someone had taken the opportunity to sneak in.

He knew Yan Beicheng's schedule very well, he knew exactly what time on each day when Yan Beicheng had an appointment. Yan Beicheng would never see anyone while working overtime at this hour.

Yan Beicheng could not be bothered with her and went back to his seat to continue working.

Not long after, his phone rang again. This time, it was a string of unknown numbers.

Yan Beicheng frowned. He picked up the call without saying anything and heard Lu Weining crying on the other end of the line, her voice was even trembling, "Sob sob sob, Beicheng, help me, please help me! Yan Beicheng had been home late these few days and Aunt Zhuang had been accompanying her in the living room, watching television. They would watch a drama and discuss the plot. Aunt Zhuang's biggest hobby was criticizing the female supporting character as being silly.

Yan Beicheng did not care and continued to press against her lips. She could feel his burning breath on her lips, nose and the side of her lips.

"I've been disgusted enough tonight. I need you to disinfect me," Yan Beicheng said in a low voice and pressed Lin Chu against the wall.

Aunt Zhang had just come over to welcome Yan Beicheng home. "…"
