"Then let's wait until the principal is awake and transfer her to Chu Tian Hospital. They will conduct a detailed check-up over there. Since the principal had not yet woken up, Teacher Yuan contemplated the idea and felt that this was probably Yan Beicheng and Lin Chu's shared opinion and that both of them were doing it for the good of the principal. It was unnecessary for her to be courteous with the two of them on the matter. Judging from Zhu Hexuan's chaotic outburst, it was indeed not very safe to stay here so she bluntly agreed on behalf of the principal.

Both of them were children that the principal had brought up so why was there such a big difference between Zhu Hexuan and Lin Chu? It would be good enough if Zhu Hexuan would be half the person Lin Chu was.

They had waited for nearly an hour when the principal slowly woke up.

Lin Chu and Teacher Yuan immediately walked toward the bedside. Yan Beicheng paid close attention to Lin Chu the whole time as he was afraid that she would knock or bump into something.

The principal had been unconscious for a long time, so she was still somewhat muddled when she awoke. She could only clearly recognize the people around her after some time, yet she was still confused about where she was.

Teacher Yuan explained the whole saga to her soon afterward. Only after this did the principal say, "Why did you call Lin Chu to come over late at night? In her current state, what would we do if something happens?"

"Teacher Yuan is worried about you too." Lin Chu said while holding the principal's hand.

The principal shook her head. "You must've been terrified upon hearing about this, right? Do you feel discomfort anywhere?"

"No, I don't. I have Beicheng looking after me, and he doesn't allow me to be willful and act erratically." Lin Chu smiled and said, making the principal feel at ease.

The principal saw that Lin Chu looked perfectly fine; although the concern on her face had not disappeared, she still appeared relatively healthy. Only then did the principal feel relieved and ask Teacher Yuan, "What about the children? Since Xiao Wang isn't here today and you had to accompany me here, does that mean the children are by themselves at the orphanage?"

"I've made a phone call to Teacher Wang. She's already at the orphanage at this moment. She called me just now to tell me that the children are all fine. The children were very worried and scared when they heard the argument between you and Ms. Zhu. They only slept after Jinxi entertained them for some time. The corners of the principal's eyes were wet with tears, but she did not have much strength at the moment, so she lifted her hand slowly. Teacher Yuan, on the other hand, had already pulled out a tissue and quickly gave it to the principal to wipe away her tears.

The principal sniffled and hung up the phone call whilst feeling an unspeakable pain in her heart.

The more thoughtful the children around her — including Lin Chu — became, the greater the harm Zhu Hexuan inflicted on her.

How great was the hatred in Zhu Hexuan's heart that she could be unconcerned about a person's life?

Even if it was not her and it was someone unknown to Zhu Hexuan, one should not behave like this.

Mo Jinxi was such a thoughtful, kind kid but Zhue Hexuan could even blame and target a child.

She was the kind of person who could not distinguish between right and wrong. How could she report news justly?

The principal sighed and told Lin Chu and Yan Beicheng, "You guys should quickly return. I'm alright now, I'm just tired."

Teacher Yuan also felt embarrassed for calling Lin Chu to come over late at night and causing them so much worry. "You guys can return. I'll be here taking care of the principal." 

Lin Chu was also aware that she could not stay, as Yan Beicheng would certainly be opposed to the idea. Even if Yan Beicheng did not say it aloud, she herself would not stay and push her body. It would just worry the people around her.

"You have no choice but to stay here for a night. I'll have someone come over to deal with the procedure for transferring to another hospital." Yan Beicheng said.

The principal was puzzled, so Teacher Yuan quickly explained, "I think it's safer this way. What if Zhu Hexuan comes again? The hospital won't be concerned and we can't stop her."

The principal nodded and agreed.

The principal reassured Lin Chu before repeatedly shooing them away.

On the road, Lin Chu was relieved that the principal was alright. As she sat in the car, she suddenly began to feel hungry. "I want to cuc.u.mber salad."

Yan Beicheng shot a glance at Lin Chu. "I'll look for a restaurant and order one for you."

"No," Lin Chu frowned and said, "I don't know why, but I only want to have one that you'll make for me."

"..." the corner of Yan Beicheng's eyes twitched. "I've never cooked before."

"But I'm sure that you won't be half bad at it." Lin Chu held one of Yan Beicheng's arms; she was not worried that she was hindering his driving.

He could still drive with one hand in a stable manner anyway as he never made a mistake.

"Besides, all you have to do is smash a cuc.u.mber, put vinegar and salt and toss it all at once. It's really simple. I don't want to go eat at a restaurant since they don't make it sour enough." Lin Chu was feeling a bit tired. She was tired easily ever since she got pregnant.

She would feel sleepy when she got back home after going out and strolling around for a round or two around the neighborhood. If she sat still, her eyelids would droop after a few minutes as her brain would slowly power down.

At this moment, she was holding Yan Beicheng's arm like a sloth, viewing his arm as a branch and hanging lazily from it. In this position, she actually began to feel sleepy again.

"Is that okay?" Lin Chu asked whilst fawning over him.

Yan Beicheng smiled helplessly. "Alright, I'll smash it for you once we return home, but you can't say that it tastes bad."

"I won't, I won't. I definitely won't say it. It'll actually be fine as long as it's tart enough." Lin Chu said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Hurry up and sit properly. Even if you don't mind sitting slouched, your body won't feel right after a while." Yan Beicheng said while laughing.

"..." Lin Chu fell quiet without uttering a word. Yan Beicheng was just feeling that her body was slightly stiff when she suddenly pinched him.

"You used to wish that I'm always like this in the past, but now you want me to move after I've only hugged you for a second." Lin Chu poked at his arm with all her might.

"Doesn't this show that I'm worried that you won't feel good in that position? I didn't usually let you do this in the past either; I usually let you hold on like this for a while before putting you back in your seat." Explained Yan Beicheng in a gentle voice.

He had found a good deal of books regarding how husbands should interact with their pregnant wives. Since he feared that Lin Chu would overthink after seeing it, he had specially bought the book on the library app, then downloaded it into his phone and read it when he had free time. Thus, he thoroughly understood how to respond to the temperamental moods and extremely sensitive temper of a pregnant woman.

Lin Chu pondered this and felt a little regretful. She also did not know what the matter was with her right now. She had become somewhat unreasonable.

She apologetically rubbed the spot where she had pinched Yan Beicheng just now. "I…I didn't mean it. Does it hurt?"

"It doesn't." The words originally reached Yan Beicheng's mouth, but just as he turned his head, he saw Lin Chu's eyes brimming with sadness and regret, fluttering with glistening moisture and looking at him endearingly. He quickly changed his plan.

He replied in a soft tone with only the slightest hint of pity, "It hurts."

Although his pitiful tone was not obvious, it was still mildly discernable. Lin Chu was able to catch the undertone and became even more apologetic.

It was not just her temper that had become volatile, all her emotions were more intense, and she had become more sensitive after she got pregnant. Right now, she was also overflowing with maternal love.

She rubbed Yan Beicheng's arm and moved closer to blow at it a few times. The warm breath penetrated the thin cotton shirt and spread through the top of his arm.

Yan Beicheng gulped, as he felt the dry and hot aridness began to permeate. He looked at Lin Chu's slightly puffed out cheeks and red plump lips as she blew and licked his lips. He could not take it much longer.

After observing the condition of the road, he drove forward for a bit, then parked the car by the roadside before picking Lin Chu up and kissing her intensely. He could not help leaning and grinding against her as he felt the response from within his pants.

Lin Chu became sluggish and tried to say something, but it was stopped by his lips. Hence, she was unable to utter a sound. As she wriggled, Yan Beicheng clutched her waist with both of his hands, he controlled her and did not allow her to fidget. Otherwise, he would not be able to control himself.

However, as things stood, he still could not help but grip her waist and thrust forward a couple of times.

Yan Beicheng finally let go of her, then gazed at her scarlet, full lips in front of him. Her hurried breaths blew softly against his lips as Yan Beicheng felt the hot breath tickle his face. Once his gaze fell onto her lips, he could no longer pull it away. He could not get enough of her, so he kissed her again.

Lin Chu trembled for a moment before taking the initiative to cuddle his embrace. She hugged him tightly like she wanted herself to be absorbed into his very being.

Feeling her strength increase, Yan Beicheng licked his bottom lip, then kissed her earlobe and asked huskily, "You want it?"

Her sensitivity when it came to this seemed to have become especially intense after she got pregnant.

With her face flushed, Lin Chu did not want to speak, yet she could not help moving in his embrace.

Yan Beicheng became happy upon seeing this. He thought about the phrase he recently saw online, 'her mouth says no, but her body says yes.

"Now that you want to eat sour foods. How about I eat more sweet and sour things in the future and let you kiss me afterward?" Yan Beicheng said and laughed lightly. "A mouthful of sweetness and sourness."

Lin Chu's face became red and began to burn. She clenched her fist, then beat his chest lightly like she was acting cute. 

Yan Beicheng laughed softly. His deep and melodic voice was as though it had magnets that could draw people in an instant, rendering them unable to escape.

He gently blew her ear and muttered, "I can even smear a bit of vinegar to make you happy when you eat it."

Lin Chu felt that her brain was fried. She was so caught up in the moment that she did not realize where she had placed her hands. She simply clutched his waist fiercely and said in exasperation, "What are you…you talking about? Nonsense! Nonsense! You're too…too annoying! Shameless!"

She said while butting him with her head.

Yan Beicheng did not know whether to laugh or cry at her response. His waist had become slightly sore from her intense hugging. He hissed and grabbed her hands to stop her from inflicting any more damage.

"It's really quite painful so stop clutching so tight. How are you getting stronger and stronger these days?" Yan Beicheng mumbled and held her hands. He lowered his head and kissed her before putting her back in her seat.

"We can't stay here for long. It's close to the Family Mansion, so we'll be reaching home soon." Yan Beicheng explained.

He lowered his gaze and looked at his pant zipper - he also had a hard time resisting it. Therefore, he floored the pedal and raced home.

After Yan Beicheng parked the car, Lin Chu was just getting out of the car when Yan Beicheng suddenly grabbed her hand and dragged her toward the Family Mansion with quick steps. The urgency of his actions was on full display.

They had taken the keys when they headed out, so Yan Beicheng opened the door, hastily pulled Lin Chu in, and walked through the courtyard. He climbed the steps then hurriedly opened the door of the villa.

Once they were inside, he carried Lin Chu in his arms without even turning on the lights.

"I'll walk by myself!" Lin Chu lightly declared. She did not dare increase her volume as she was afraid of waking up the two elders.

"The house is dark. What happens if we trip while going upstairs?" Yan Beicheng was carrying her while standing upright. Her knees were slightly bent as though she were sitting on his arm - it seemed like he was carrying a child.

In reality, he was only holding her with one hand.

Lin Chu felt that she was not light, especially since Old Lady Yan had already started to give her food therapy by stuffing her full of healthy foods during her stay at the Family Mansion. Lin Chu thought that if her stomach began to bulge, it might not necessarily be because she was pregnant but be due to her getting fat from eating too much.

Even if this was the case, Yan Beicheng still used an arm to support her. He looked like he was doing this effortlessly and whilst relaxed but his breathing was very erratic. Nevertheless, this was not because he was tired, but out of endearment. 

His other hand pressed the back of her head. As he found her lips, he kissed it, sucking voraciously and not letting go.

Lin Chu blushed. She was carried and kissed by him as he carried her to the bedroom. She had her eyes closed when her dark vision was suddenly filled with a bright light.
