The President is Being Shameless Again Chapter 76 - She Was Pulled Back Just When She Was About to Open the Door

It would seem like she was trying to cast him aside after he had served his purpose if she denied it hurriedly. She just used him as an excuse, if she denied it now it would be too hypocritical. Besides, Yan Beicheng had never concealed his feelings for her.

Lin Chu felt affection for him. Although there was some uncertainty in her heart, she could not deny her feelings toward him. 

Therefore, she could not say anything to deny it.

Seeing that she did not refute, and her pliant face while looking down, Yan Beicheng was bursting with exhilaration. 

She was agreeing indirectly!

Yan Beicheng did not pressure her any further. After all, the more one hurried, the less progress one was likely to make. Was it not a great improvement already?

He said as he drove Lin Chu away from Sheng Yue, "I have to meet a client in the afternoon, I'm afraid I don't have time to bring you to lunch."

It would be a long journey to travel to Yan Hui after sending Lin Chu home.

Lin Chu shook her head, "It's okay. I'll eat at home."

She paused for a moment and asked, "Have you eaten?"

"Not long after I sat down in the room, I heard that you came for an arranged date so I didn't have the time to eat. I'll ask Zuo Qiu to order takeaway for me. I'll eat once I'm back in the office," Yan Beicheng glanced at her and a faint smile spread across his face.

Lin Chu grabbed the seatbelt and adjusted it a little, she was guilty after hearing him said that, but she did not know why she felt like that.

She blurted out an explanation intuitively. "Old Lady Lin asked me out for lunch and told me that it'd just be the two of us. When I arrived there, only then I found out that Lin Yuwen and Chen Ziming were there. I didn't know that they tricked me into meeting Yang Zhiyuan."

Yan Beicheng looked at her and smiled gently, then he said nothing. 

The Grand Cherokee stopped downstairs at Lin Chu's place. Lin Chu did not invite him to go to her place for lunch. Yan Beicheng would be late by the time she finished cooking.

She looked at the time displayed in the car, it was already late.

Lin Chu unbuckled her seatbelt. Although she was hesitant, she said, "Even though you're pressed for time, don't rush and drive slowly on the road."

Yan Beicheng was a safe driver. She had been in his car several times, and he would never overtake another vehicle impatiently. If he encountered a slow driver in front of him, or a driver who did not obey the traffic rules, she would never hear him complaining. He was very patient.

Lin Chu always felt safe and at ease when she sat in his car. However, she would still be worried if he drove alone.

Lin Chu knew that she already had him in her heart. She knew about his temperament, but she was still worried about him involving in an accident.

Perhaps she liked him more than she thought without her being aware of it.

Yan Beicheng said nothing. He looked at her gently with his dark eyes. His eyes were overflowing with affection that Lin Chu found it a little unbearable.

Her concern for him warmed his heart.

The warm feeling circled his chest, lingering and expanding. 

Lin Chu was shy of him staring at her. She looked down as her face blushed. She stuttered, "I…I'll go in now."

Just when she was about to open the door, she was pulled back in. After that, her back was slammed against the car door. He leaned towards her without her noticing. The next thing she knew he was right in front of her eyes, close to her. 

Lin Chu was breathing rapidly and anxiously. Her waist was held by his palm, and she could feel waves of heat pressing on her clothes. She gasped, and she was so nervous that her entire body was stiff.

Yan Beicheng's charming face was inches away from her. Their breathing intertwined, and the temperature in the car was rising. 

He was looking at her face with his dark eyes. His gentle gaze was burning on the part of her face that it fell on. 

"I'm actually angry that you're getting involved with other men, even if it wasn't your intention. When I learned that you were on a blind date with him, when I saw you two standing together and him pulling your arm, when I heard your name being mentioned along with other men, I was angry," Yan Beicheng said seriously. His low voice sounded tense, as his stare grew more intense. 

Lin Chu's eyes were flickering, and her eyelashes fluttered. She looked at Yan Beicheng who was just inches away from her. Although his face was enlarged, she could not find any flaws on his face. 

"I'm sorry…" She did not know why she apologized, even though she did no wrong.

However, Yan Beicheng was mad. His serious face showed that he took this matter to heart, so an apology just escaped from her lips subconsciously. 

"Why are you sorry?" Yan Beicheng leaned in closer, he sounded serious as he moved his thin lips and spoke softly. His black eyes were slightly narrowed and it looked slightly threatening. "You're sorry because you can't accept me, or because you'll continue going on blind dates?"

Lin Chu widened her eyes, she did not know why he would think like this. She quickly shook her head, "No…"

Yan Beicheng breathed a sigh of relief as he when he heard that. His fierce eyes became extra gentle.

He held her face firmly as she shook her head. Then, he kissed her lips. A cold but overbearing breath entered directly into her mouth and entwined inside it. The back of her head was firmly pressed against the car window by him and it was hurting her slightly, but she could not care less at that moment. Her mouth was filled with his breath, and her face that was being held by his masculine hands was burning hot. 

After a long while, he moved away slowly, but he was still very close to her. He did not speak, but she could feel his hot breath on the tip of her nose and lips. Her lips trembled uncontrollably. The touch of his soft lips lingered on hers, a vivid feeling adhered to her lips.

Lin Chu was blushing like mad. She did not notice that she was grabbing the collar of his suit. 

Yan Beicheng lowered his eyes, he smiled faintly as he noticed that. His cheeks were tinged with a light red color, his alluring face looked more enticing when he was not acting like a scourge. 

Lin Chu did not know that a man could look this charming when he was enamored. 

Yan Beicheng pecked her soft lips again and rubbed her thumb against her delicate cheek. From the moment he started kissing her until now, she had shown no resistance and accepted meekly.

She was still blushing. He was thrilled to see her shy yet compliant face. He had a sudden urge to call Zuo Qiu and ask him to cancel his appointments in the afternoon. He did not want to leave. 

He let out a sigh, and spoke softly with his hoarse voice, "I'll send you up."

"There's no need for that. Aren't you going to be late?" Lin Chu lowered her head and spoke softly. She raised her head coyly and glanced at him. 

When she saw his smiley face, it was just like he knew what she was thinking and she was extremely guilty. She quickly looked down, only then she found out that she was holding onto his clothes. 

She thought of the expression on his face just now, it seemed like he was telling her that he could only leave if she let go of him. 

Lin Chu was mortified. She quickly let go of her hands. She wanted to get off the car without looking back, but she did not want to part with him. She mustered up her courage and took a brief look at him. There was a gentle yet playful smile on his charming face. 

Lin Chu blushed and hurriedly said, "Drive safe on the road."

Then, she turned around to open the car door. She did not know if he did it on purpose, but when she turned around, the corner of her eyes brushed against his lips. Her eyelids were heating up. She covered her face and got down from the car. After that, she ran away without looking back. 

She was nervous after what Yan Beicheng did to her. She took out her keys, but she was trembling too much that she could not fit the key into the lock hole properly. She fumbled about with the key, and then only managed to open the door after several tries.

Lin Chu knew that Yan Beicheng had not left. She did not hear the sound of the car driving away. She was more anxious when she knew that he was looking at her from behind. 

She was aware of how much of a mess she looked like. It was embarrassing. 

Back then when her feelings for him were not deep, she could still force herself to remain calm. Occasionally, he would make her heart race, and she would panic and do something foolish. 

Now that she felt a deep affection for him, and he had become more and more important to her without her being aware of it, it was harder for her to keep her composure. She was always trying to look her best in front of him, but she always ended up embarrassing herself more. 

Yan Beicheng started his car and left only after he saw her entering the lift through the glass of the unit door.

After a while he figured that she would already be at home, Yan Beicheng called Lin Chu just to make sure that she had stepped inside of her house just so he could be at ease. 

Lin Chu's heart was warmed by the attentiveness of Yan Beicheng, but she still slightly frowned and said, "Don't talk on the phone while driving."

"I'm wearing earphones, it's okay to chat for a while," Yan Beicheng said softly. Through the phone that was closely attached to her ear, his voice seemed to be clearer. It was as if he was right beside her, it was extra intimate. 

Lin Chu's ears were burning hot. She urged Yan Beicheng to hurriedly hang up on the phone and concentrate on driving.

"All right," Yan Beicheng caroled. From his tone, it seemed like he enjoyed the fact that Lin Chu was looking after him. "I forgot to tell you just now that I have a dinner appointment today and I can't visit you tonight."

"Who…who's waiting for you to come over?" Lin Chu went to her bedroom and tossed her bag aside. Then, she curled up in the corner of her bed, hugging her knees while looking outside the window. Her face was heating up uncontrollably and numb.

Yan Beicheng was already long gone, but she still could not take her eyes off the view outside the window. The corners of her mouth lifted out of happiness unconsciously. 

Yan Beicheng was not mad. Although Lin Chu could not see it, his attractive thin lips showed a gentle and forbearing smile. "I like how you're being unreserved and direct when you speak to me. It shows that you're not treating me as an outsider."

Lin Chu was speechless, "…"

Why would he think so?

However, it was the truth.

"You should concentrate on driving," Lin Chu said and hung up on the phone.

Yan Beicheng smiled and put his phone aside. 

Due to Yang Zhiyuan leaving hastily in displeasure, the three of them did not have the appetite to continue eating although they did not think that it was a big deal. 

After taking a few bites to fill their stomachs a little, Lin Yuwen and Chen Ziming drove Old Lady Lin home. After that, both of them went back to Lin Mao.

Not long after they were out of the neighborhood, Lin Chu turned her steering wheel and parked the car on the side of the road. She looked exasperated.

"What's the matter? We're not going back to the office?" Chen Ziming looked puzzled.

Lin Yuwen switched off the car engine and unfastened her seat belt. Then, she said furiously, "What's wrong with me? Don't you know? Returning to the office? I'm not in the mood for that."

Chen Ziming paused for a slight moment. Lin Yuwen was unhappy, but she did not show it just now. "Yuwen, what's the matter? Why are you so angry?"

Chen Ziming reached out to hold her hand, but Lin Yuwen shook his hand off impolitely.

"Playing dumb? Don't think I didn't see it just now. When Yang Zhiyuan just entered the room, it was obvious that his interest towards her was written all over on his face. Do you think I didn't see your long face just now? Was it because you're jealous that other men are interested in her? Or do you think that it'd be a shame for Lin Chu to date Yang Zhiyuan? You haven't forgotten her, have you?" 

"That's impossible." Chen Ziming reached out to hold her hand again. She did not shake it off this time, he knew that the situation was still hopeful.

Lin Yuwen had already made up her mind that he was the one and planning to get married to him. On top of that, she was pregnant. Therefore, Lin Yuwen would never break it off with him no matter.

Chen Ziming was very confident because he was well aware of that.

"I'd hate to see her living a good life," Chen Ziming was particularly sincere. "You may think I'm contemptible, but after I broke up with her, I didn't want to see her better off than me. Even if that means that she's married to a middle-aged man. I know aunty introduced Yang Zhiyuan to Lin Chu to disgust her. From what I think, we shouldn't even introduce a man like Yang Zhiyuan to her. Let her look up to us all her life." 

Those were his genuine thoughts. It was because he chose Lin Yuwen over Lin Chu. If Lin Chu was better off than him, abandoning Lin Chu would be a mistake.

He did not want to regret it. He betrayed Lin Chu and chose Lin Yuwen in the beginning because he thought that Lin Yuwen was better than Lin Chu in all aspects. She was good-looking. Most importantly, she was rich. Lin Yuwen could provide him with everything that Lin Chu could not. 

Every decision of him was made after careful planning and thoughts. He did not want Lin Chu to be an exception. To him, the distance between him and Lin Chu should be further and further apart ever since he dumped her. She could only look at his back, and eventually lose sight of him, even his shadow. 

He wanted everyone to look up to him and be inferior to him, including Lin Chu.

He wanted Lin Chu to know that she was unworthy of him. How could he bear to see Lin Chu living a good life? She might be ill-suited to Yang Zhiyuan if she got married to him due to his age, but at the same time, she might be able to move in the upper-class society because of it. 

This was not something he wished to see. He and Lin Chu belonged in two different worlds. Besides having to see her due to her relationship with the Lin family, they should never bump into each other in any other high society events. 

Chen Ziming happened to see eye to eye with Lin Yuwen in this matter. He spoke her mind. 

Lin Yuwen seemed pleased but she asked skeptically, "Do you really think so?"

"Of course. I have no reason to lie to you," Chen Ziming said while massaging the back of her hand with his thumb, as she was slowly convinced. "Ever since I broke up with her, I already thought that we come from different worlds. If she stays in the underclass of society and just lives ordinarily, only then she would never bother our lives. Who is she to enter our circle? It'd made it seem like our circle is low-class, and everyone can easily enter."

"That's right," Lin Yuwen nodded and agreed wholeheartedly. "I don't think my mum considered the bigger picture of it. I'll tell her that if she wants to be introduced, she should introduce some other office worker like Lin Chu. Didn't Lin Chu say so herself? She doesn't care about money, so we can just fulfill her desire. I don't want her to be in the same circle as me neither. She doesn't belong in this circle. What rights does she have to be my equal?"

Lin Chu paused briefly and looked at Chen Ziming, "Do you think I'm too petty?"

"Why would I? Lin Chu took away a part of something that belonged to you. You're still thinking of introducing a suitable man for her, you're already considered very generous and kind. She does not belong in the same world as us. Forcing her to take part is not good for her, and she will suffer sooner or later. We're doing this for her own good," Cheng Ziming squeezed Lin Yuwen's hand and smiled.

"It's great that you understand me. It doesn't matter even if other people misunderstand me," Lin Chu said softly.

Since Yan Beicheng mentioned that he had a dinner appointment at night, it was likely that he would have quite a lot of drinks and would be too tired to come over after the dinner ended. 

Therefore, after having dinner with Xu Moyan, Lin Chu took a quick shower. Then, she changed into her pajamas and went back to her room to surf the internet.
