Zhen Xiu tried her luck in hopes of getting a definite answer from the tree. Even if it was not completely true she could get some information from this green vegetation.

She was trying to seek some information as it seems like a good idea. If she was lucky enough, she would get appropriate answers.

Although the tree stopped in between haste it did not respond to her, Zhen Xiu patiently waited for him to show some signal if it heard her.

The tree wanted to respond but was not capable enough to form words and say something in return to the unknown person.

"Hey! Are you listening to me? I am talking to you. Big tree! Say something."

Zhen Xiu tried different methods to make him speak up but he was still standing silently at its original place.

She could see that the tree was not malicious towards her as it kept on peeking at her.

Then, why was it not saying something?

Could it be that it can't speak?

If this is the case then communicating with this humongous tree would be difficult.

"Ah! You can't speak. If I am right wave your leaves and if I'm wrong then stay still."

The tree immediately started shaking its leaves and was hyperactive within a few seconds.

This was the confirmation that Zhen Xiu needed.

"Okay, I will ask you some questions if you know then shake your leaves and if you don't know then stay still." Zhen Xiu suggested.

The tree swayed again. 

Zhen Xiu: "Do you stay here?"

Tree: (....)

It remained silent.

"You don't stay here." She changed her sentence. 

The tree shook its leaves.

If the tree does not stay here then how is it present inside the dimension?

Does it know about this world and the other world outside this place?

The mannerism of the tree was similar to that of a child. Could it be that her assumptions were right regarding this humongous tree being Lu Jian's stepbrother?

The tree inched closer towards Zhen Xiu as it saw her frowning and silently standing away.

The tree wanted to play with her again. This shaking and stopping game was funny. The tree liked it very much. The tree was always alone in this place and had no one around it.

Zhen Xiu crossed her fingers and bravely asked, "You are a child."

The tree was about to surprise her suddenly halted in its way and shook his leaves again.

The tree was happy that they had started the game again.

Zhen Xiu: "Your mother? Who is she?"

Tree: "…."

It stood again and did not show any movements.

Zhen Xiu frowned. Was this question too difficult for it to answer?

"Do you know the exit of this place?" Zhen Xiu asked trying to test her luck.

It would be good if the tree knew about the exit but if it doesn't know then she will find it on her own.

However the tree this time started shaking furiously and instantly rushed near her. Before she could even think about anything else the tree opened its mouth and clamped her hand hard.

"Shit!"

Zhen Xiu cried in pain. This tree was so sly. It was a carnivore and trying to eat her yet it was pretending like an innocent child and was playing her mind. She should have asked the tree first whether it was a vegetarian or not.
