Shen Ya was speechless at her casual attitude of leaving her husband. She could not understand whether she has truly left Lu Jian or was just pretending to be a holy maiden in front of him.
"Are you alright? Is your head working properly? Frankly, I could not understand you after you woke up from your coma of seven months. It's been a total roller coaster ride these days." Shen Ya frowned.
She was not able to convey her feelings in words. She was happy because the change has brought a confident side in her sister but sometimes it gives her a distant feeling from her. It's like she doesn't know her, the girl she treats as a family is not there anymore, this suffocating feeling keeps on nagging her.
She was aware of the changes in Zhen Xiu's body and has tried being open-minded about it but somewhere in her heart, there is also deep pain of losing the past her. She is not complaining about her new side but it's taking a toll on her to understand this new Zhen Xiu.
All these thoughts in her mind were jumbling with each other and she could not tell Zhen Xiu about her predicament.
Zhen Xiu who was excited to know the current situation of Lujia was dumbstruck as she could read Shen Ya's pain and confusion. This brought a pang of sadness in her heart. After all, Shen Ya who was the first person in her life to show her warmth and care for the first time.
She could see that her friend was not feeling right about her personality. She was missing her clone. It was as clear as the bright sun in the day.
Now she has realized that all the things she was doing against Lujia were affecting Shen Ya indirectly and she being her friend was not able to see this problem till now.
In her fun and revenge, she has completely forgotten about the people that care for Zhen Xiu. Although she took over her clone's life who was just a medium meant for her arrival; she has not yet integrated herself completely with her.
She is now living as Zhen Xiu but her every behavior and attitude is just like Yun Xiu–the evil princess.
She got a mother, a father and a new family that has Shen Ya, Jiang Wui and the Dean. She even got a husband as beautiful as an immortal but she was still behaving like her past self without thinking about other's feelings and emotions.
Wasn't she afraid of all these things happening to her?
How could she still behave like this with these people who care about her and love her?
Her eyes reddened in realization as a murmur of apology left her mouth. "I am sorry." It was a quiet whisper but was enough to attract the attention of the other two sitting on the chairs.
Shen Ya was about to speak her mind when Zhen Xiu's sad apology rang in her ear. Even if, she knew that the girl sitting in front of her was different from her previous sister, she could not bring herself to be cold to her. After all, they were both the same for her and this new side of her was not that bad.
The current her is a lot more childish with an abundance of confidence.
"I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you because of my stupidity. I was just trying to pit that stupid old hag by using har tactics. I know I should not have done that and hurt you and my husband. I am sorry I'll never do it again. I promise." Zhen Xiu solemnly vowed.
Ouyang Ming was waiting for some entertainment after the arrival of Shen Ya was thoroughly disappointed and even irritated after hearing Lu Jian's name coming out of their mouth.
It was not because he loved Zhen Xiu like a man but because he truly adored her as a little sister so every time he was annoyed after hearing the name 'Lu Jian' .
For him, he was the unlucky star in their life and the past two years were the solid facts to confirm his point.
"Oh come on, why talk about some stone? We are better off planning our marriage. What's say? Wifey!" He teased in hopes of lightning the atmosphere.
"Shut up!!!" Shen Ya reprimanded him as soon as he finished his little teasing.
"Can't you see we are serious right now. Don't utter rubbish and harm a lady's reputation. She is married now so if you can control your potty mouth it would be good for us."
"So what? I don't care. Either way, that man is a scumbag so I don't regret calling her my 'wifey'. Looks like our little girl left that poisonous man. It's a matter of celebration." Ouyang Ming cheered.
"Now I know why you were being so cranky; it was just because of this. I'll say you did something right for the first time of me knowing you in these years. Bravo! You fought and left your crush." He clapped and smiled.
On the other side, Shen Ya's face was losing her color with every word coming out of his mouth. He was simply creating trouble for her by doing all these things to provoke them.
She wanted to retail against him but was beaten by Zhen Xiu when he started uttering rubbish about her husband.
"Who said I fought? I played! You know played! I will go back to him. He is better than you in every aspect. I realized this now and my choice can never be wrong. You got that."
Zhen Xiu pointed her fingers towards him as if to challenge her again.
"I am sorry Shen Ya. I will apologize to Lu Jian too for my foolishness but it was kind of necessary to trap my mother in law. Don't worry! We will soon know what is actually wrong with her. Just trust me."
Zhen Xiu assured Shen Ya and explained why she actually did all those things in the morning. Ouyang Ming was also now listening to her without interrupting and his neutral face was covered in frown by the time Xiu finished explaining everything.
