Death's Scythe Chapter 11: [ Floor One ]

A dungeon , which was just perfect for them had appeared . It was at least an intermediate tier .

" Can we take a look ? We are intermediate rank heroes too ." Leo asked the village chief as he stated his rank .

He surprised at first but then remembered some children telling him a big brother and a big sister were flying in the sky . ' So , it was them .' He thought to himself . " Sure , you can look at it , but please be careful . It can be of any tier between basic to high intermediate ." He said .

Leo made his way directly to the dungeon . He could see even the smallest changes in the Mana . Dongeons had pure Mana , so it was much easier for him to find it .

The dungeon had formed in a cave , that went underground . Leo had wanted to directly go in , but was instead stopped by the system .

Leo was surprised the system could even do something like this . He looked over the alerts and looked back at the dungeon .

" Let's go ? It seems to be a Middle-Intermediate tier ." He told Leah .

" I think we just might cut it ." Leah said as he nudged him forward .

Leo nodded and went in . They walked in through the cave to arrive at a rocky area . It was big , really big . ' There can be 1-100 floors .' He thought to himself . " You think you can fight by yourself ?" Leo asked as he looked towards Leah .

She nodded and smiled " I may be much stronger than you think ."

" Then let's separate . There must be stairs that take us to the next floor somewhere . Let's wait for the other person there ." He said as his wings appeared behind his back .

Leo smilled as he thought of the growth booster that increased by 0.1 every 100 monsters he killed . ' How many more till next increase ? ' He thought .

[ The growth booster will increase after 37 more monsters are killed ]

He looked back , only to see Leah already gone . ' She got a headstart .' He thought . ' But who cares .' He looked in front of him and detected the nearest monster . It was a cow type monster . A fire cow . basic intermediate tier . And just a little further there were hordes of such beasts .

" Time to get stronger ." He audibly shouted as his wings pushed the air behind him . He flew to the roof of the floor and directly got rid of his wings and fell down , head first . He manifested his claws and fell towards the fire cow . The cow noticed him and tried to run away , but Leo was faster . His claws directly pierced through the cow's thick skin as he directly gouged it's heart out . " Aaah , fresh blood once again ." He cried as he changed his method every time he killed a cow.

Leah kept hearing his thoughts .

' Why did the game not have blood ?'

' We were trapped in a game where we had to kill to survive , we can't have been broken any further .'

' Is this cow edible ? I want to eat it .'

A lighter appeared in her hand and her other hand moved over the fire . ' Any monster below high-level , have no resistance to any elements .' She thought back to the books she had read when she was in the library . ' They can get hurt even with their own elemental attacks .' Her hand moved away from the fire and , as if obeying her command , the fire moved in a trail behind her hand . ' I can't change the element of Mana yet . I haven't learnt any magic .' She thought to herself . The fire which was following her hand floated above the palm of her hand .

' But I can infuse Mana into a flame that already exists .' The flame above her hand slowly grew in size . It's color also changed , slowly . She remembered a thought her brother had when he tested his breath ' Instead of randomly burning elements in the air with oxygen , I wish I could've directly burnt Carbon and Nitrogen . It produces much more hotter flames .' She thought back to what he said . ' Carbon and Nitrogen are part of the atmosphere ' Her flame slowly increased in size as it's color changed from deep orange to blue and then blue white .

" I don't know if this is hot enough " She said as her right hand took a small trail of flames away from above her left palm . She moved the flames around and directly threw them towards a huge horde of fire cows . ' There's 13 of them in that small area .' The flame directly hit a cow in the middle and as that cow tried to run away and hit other cows in the process Leah saw as all other cows slowly caught fire , and under her gaze , died and even started rootting but the flame never went out till the end .

She looked towards her hand holding the flame as she thought to herself ' Brother , you've created a monster .'

' But , your flames are a black dragon's flames . In the legends , they are one of the strongest flames any dragon can wield .' But when she thought of her brother she had a wired thought ' Maybe that can become stronger too .'

She kept killing hordes of monsters and Shee didn't even realize when , but an alert popped up in front of both her and her brother's eyes .

By the time it reached this point they had reached the stairs to the next floor , without even realizing .
