Death's Scythe Chapter 25: [Biruce]

Hoping to see a simple teleportation technique in real life made Leo extremely excited . He wanted to know how that man would teleport .

When he was rejoicing over the fact that they got some more time before being found out by Grimm empire , he remembered a crucial part .

' That man was dressed like Sherlock . Even the clothes were old fashioned .'

He thought he must've been either a detective or a cosplay artist .

He shivered at this thought . ' Nope . Not possible . Cosplay artists in another world ? Nope . Maybe he is just a detective or something .'

Leo did not wake his sister up . He carried her in his arms and sank into the shadows .

' It takes 5 seconds to reach there in my shadow . The consumption becomes twice when carrying a person .'

He arrived at the same roof and came out of the shadow . He leaned back against a parapet as he gently placed his sister's head on his thigh and leaned back .

' Will it be just a spatial gate , or maybe instantaneous teleportation . It could also be just a simple jump .'

He slowly ran his hand through her hair as he thought of more and more types of abilities .

' Why do I feel like I am overlooking something ?'

He thought as he looked up .

The man from last night slowly descended . He looked at Leo , who was staring back at him and then at the lady sleeping peacefully .

" Don't you think we should wake her up ?" He said as he once again looked at Leo .

" Let her be . Anyways , we are using space magic , right ? It shouldn't be that uncomfortable ." He said as he lifter her up once again .

" It will take us 3 hours to reach Biruce . Hold tight ." The man said as he smiled in a weird way .

" Huh ?" Leo realized something was amiss , but it was too late . The man appeared behind Leo and held up his jacket . Leo quickly moved the chain up and manifested his wings to cover his sister's whole body .

Those wing were 2m in length each , so they easily covered her body .

Before he realized , they were moving at an extremely fast speed .

" I can only use one space magic right now ." He heard the man say . As soon as he heard this , his thoughts coincided with the man .

"'Blink'"

' F*ck . Blink ? He is going to rapidly use a short distance teleportation magic ?'

He looked down and realized that was not the case .

' Blink and wind wave in a 1:3 ratio . He blinks in front of three consecutive wind wave and travels for a good distance before repeating the same process .'

He thought deep before he realized another problem as his eyes widened .

' I am not used to this speed .'

In a dungeon , far away from Leo's current location . There were monsters , whom Leo would call Western fantasy monsters .

There were no supreme rank dungeons , except one . This was where the monster , known as king by the association resided .

This monster king , was a lich .

With an undead army at it's disposal , it was obviously the associations most hated enemy . A few decades ago , a strong magician type hero had sealed about a 30 something supreme grade monsters in this dungeon , with the lich being the strongest .

" Why ? What's the use ? The man would just seal us again ." A fat goblin , huge in size , said as he looked at the lich " The seal can break , but we will be weakened too ."

The lich , which looked like a black skeleton covered in a black cloth , spoke as he looked the 10 other monsters in this room with disgust with his broken voice " I used ... tO be human . ThEy Age and ... DIE . It hAs beEn lOng ... enoUgh fOr ... him to be ... deAd ."

The lich never spoke as much as it had received physical damage in the beginning , when all the monsters wanted to be the leader .

The goblin looked at it and the ate what seemed to be a leg of it's own kind ." As long as I can get away ."

The lich looked at the others and said in it's hoarse voice " Any ... othEr questIons ...?"

The other monsters decided to say in the darkness where even the lich could not see them .

" I wIll ... receIve hellp frum autside ... Thet es oll aye ... kan se ."

The skeleton fell to the ground and scattered into dust as the robes fluttered away with the wind .

The goblin saw this scene and laughed " He finally gathered the bones requires to repair itself ."

Leo was on his kneed on the ground as he tried to get rid of the headache he had been having in his head .

' Should have thought so when we started .'

He looked at the ground as he felt defeated . He could not even stand up after a supreme tier hero simply carried him to a city .

Leah had long been awake , and was looking amusedly at Leo's actions as she sat on a bench in the waiting room of the hotel .

" Who told you to carry me ? The captain was strong enough to do it ." Said Leah .

The man introduced himself as the captain of something Leo couldn't be bothered to listen as he was dealing with his headache . Leo just knew that man had a high position in the military .

" I thought it would be a simple teleportation or even a spatial gate . Why would anyone use blink for travelling such long distances ? " He said as he sat beside her and held his head as he leaned against the back of the bench .

" What does that have to do with not waking me up ? I thought I got kidnapped when I woke up ." She said as she hit Leo's chest .

Leo just laughed as he said " I didn't want to disturb you . You didn't have to go through 3 hours of hell because of me . Be grateful ."

Leah hit him again and said " I missed all the scenery ."

Leo was speechless at what she was worried about and decided not to say a word .
