Death's Scythe Chapter 29: [Memory]

Another day passed in silence as Leah kept going with the ice Tome right after the water Tome . Leo was too bored after he woke up but he just sat back at the window sill outside the room .

' Do dragon's really love the outside air so much , or , is it just me ?' He thought as he felt the wind gently hit his face . ' And do these guys have a habit of monitoring us ? We are in there capital , are we not ?' He looked towards an area with a dense amount of Mana as he thought .

He looked at the sky as he leaned back against the window . ' Even the windows here are unusual , as if they were made for bird type transformation gifts .' All windows were like this . They all had an extended area on the outside .

Leo thought of going to a dungeon , but then remembered how Leah stopped him last time and didn't allow him to step even a foot outside the room . ' I just wanted to make a reservation . It's not like I'd run away .'

' Master , why do you not talk to me ?' He heard the sweet voice of the kitten once more . He had snapped out of the dream yesterday as soon as he heard the word ' Luna' .

It was a bad memory , but once used to be one of his sweetest ones . The game he played , everyone had their original appearances in it . His appearance was not as good as his current one , but he looked nice regardless . He tried many different things in his old world , most of which he just learned on the internet . He had an unusual liking to fighting , so he used to work on his body a lot .

As a result , he looked quite presentable with his face he inherited from who knows where . Back to the topic , the girl , Luna , was one of the members of his group of 'friends' . He was only 18 years old and she was good eye candy so of course he ended up liking her .

The game was almost like reality , and many people accepted that. . Except the fact there would be no children and the body did not grow any further than at the start , it was just a world with a lot less of ' hurt ' .

But even that didn't stop her from hurting him . The ' Friends ' were a close group , and like every close group of friends that ever existed , they tore each other to pieces . He , was the first to be torn . Just for a weapon that he had found , she used the simple ' marriage ' system , which allowed them to share inventories .

It ended with her using the very weapon to leave him at Death's door at a mountain thinking the monsters would take care of him , they were , after all , programmed to be attracted to the smell of blood .

It was a miracle that no monster attacked him till he finally had enough 'energy' saved up to use a skill which healed him to almost half his optimal state .

' That name still hurts .' Leo replied in his mind . He did not want the memories to resurface .

' Master .' it seemed she had not looked at the whole of his memories either and only saw them when Leo's old wounds were reopened .

' It's nothing it was in the past . It was just puppy love anyways . ' He said in his mind .

He didn't realize , but behind him even Leah seemed to have saw those memories .

In front of her eyes was the message :

[ The Gift:Reaper has allowed you 5 minutes of user Leo's griefs ]

She had seen what can be called a short flashback . She saw the whole thing , from start to end .

' So it won't allow me to get away even if it blocks my thoughts .'

The worst part of it all was , she felt the same emotions he did as he went through all that , and for those 5 minutes , had the same mental condition as him .

' It is too ruthless .' she thought as she looked at her brother for a while before she went back to her book .

Outside the window , Leo finally realized he had been crying and wiped his tears .

He heard the kitten's voice ' Master , what happened to that girl ?'

He laughed once before his eyes got colder he said out loud " I killed her ."

The man felt a chill creep up his back .

' He killed her ?' He had been trying to pry into his mind all day , and had finally got a glimpse of something . He thought it was what that man was currently thinking , but instead , what he saw was a memory .

The feelings at the start were happy , and sweet . He saw a sweet relationship between a boy and a girl in a group of friends , who seemed to be in a different world .

From what he saw , he confirmed , the girl and his friends betrayed him and took away a precious possession , leaving him to die , showing no mercy and fighting him together .

He didn't experience his feeling , or hear any of the words , but he confirmed that the man in front of him had the memories of 2 people and from the lightning on his hand a few minutes ago , that he had indeed learnt and completed the ' Tome Of Lightning ' .

' I need to report this to his highness .' He thought but before he could even move , he noticed that Leo had vanished . ' I am a upper-high tier hero . There is no way he can beat me. '

He just stood there and thought he was a bout to fight a weakling , when he saw a dark colored Mana come out of his shadow . His eyes widened as it became harder for him to breathe .

He held onto his neck as he tried to breathe in , but it got harder and harder and when he looked back , he saw his shadow bulge outwards as he heard " I can even be an assassin . My set of skills has increased ."
