Death's Scythe Chapter 42: [ Dream ]

' What a tragedy !' Said a man covered in a cloak , revealing nothing but it's glowing eyes through the shadow of the cloak it was wearing . ' We could have made the denizens of this world submit . Even if we are weakened , we are stronger than anyone else here . What an absolute waste of resources .'

That man , standing on the edge of a cliff looked down at the world below him , with disdain in his eyes . The world below , filled with monsters never seen before . The world below , lit afire by the breaths of the dragons . The world below , frozen over by the very presence of ice giants . The world below , shaking to it's very core due to the steps of the monsters below .

' The souls of these creatures , will all be absorbed by our master . They will strengthen him , and will bring his descent closer than ever before . ' said another man standing at a distance against a wall ' The souls of the dragon and pixie will be even more vital for our master's descent .' This man had long hair and a beard , colored black like the night . He stood there , looking over the death of countless humans with disinterest .

' I wonder where our little sister has gone ? We are supposed to report to master and receive our rewards for spreading more destruction . ' Said the first man as he turned around .

' I don't care , really . The god of destruction cares about nothing but destruction and doesn't even bother with us , his emissaries . ' The man with long hair spoke out with a sigh .

The other man too let out a sigh , but at a moment's notice his eyes turned sharp as he looked at where the perspective of this whole situation was .

He looked at one point .

The point where Leo's imaginary body was standing with no intention to move whatsoever . Leo had long since been standing here in what seemed to be a dream . For the first time since the start of this dream , he had felt pressure .

The very gaze of this man was very sharp and the way he looked at the spot , Leo felt his spine shiver . He had been hearing in onto their words completely unnoticed , all until the man turned around .

' A soul type gift .' Leo thought to himself . Even if it was just a dream , Leo was present there . Spiritually at least .

Leo stared back at the man , with unwavering focus and resolve in his eyes .

Leo knew very well where this place was , and what the man with long hair was referring to . Leo was the dragon and Leah was the pixie .

That was all he needed to know the people were dangerous .

The man stared at the spot Leo occupied without looking anywhere else for a straight 5-10 minutes .

Finally , the hairy man could no longer endure , so he too stared at the spot where his comrade was staring . Finding nothing of interest , he impatiently said ' Is there something ?' To which the other man replied ' No . No , I just thought we had company. ' And looked there 1 more time before turning back and looking at the disaster below once more .
