Death's Scythe Chapter 37: [ Train#3 ]

His ears twitched as he heard Leah's footsteps . He didn't want to stand up so he just laid down on the floor of the train as he shouted " Take a rest . I feel like sleeping ."

Leah opened her mouth when he said 'I' , but in the end didn't speak anything .

Leo simply flopped down on the ground , his eyes still on Leah as he thought about what he could do . ' Was it too much ?'

He recollected all memories he had from Grimm and looked at each of them in a minute ' He never rejected any Goodwill she had towards him , more like he never gave her a chance . Now that she was stronger than him she wanted to help him , and here I went and ruined it .'

He just weakly laid on the ground and finally closed his eyes ' She deserves to know .'

Leo woke up 2 hours later . He got up from the ground , waited for the auto-clean to kick in and then walked to Leah . " Let's go ." He said with a smile as he held out a hand towards Leah who was sitting on a sheet against another wall .

Leah looked at him and smiled back as he stood up in front of him .

Leo waited for her to put away the sheet , then said " There's something you need to know , and I'll say it once we reach , rather , once you reach supreme tier ."

Leah's smile froze but Leo didn't seem to care he held her hand and walked into the next train .

The 2nd train was crashed into the third train right in the middle , so Leo didn't speak anymore and directly went towards a monster in far off darkness as he left Leah behind .

' He's going to say it .' She thought as she simply stood their , with disbelief . ' Wasn't he supposed to be immature ? Why is he being honest now ?'

She thought more but when she got no conclusion , she walked towards the right and entered another darkness , which teleported her to the 'train' .

' Why does he want me to be supreme tier to know it ?' She thought as she casually launched an icicle at a stone golem not far from her and froze it completely . ' Why not now ?'

She dodged a rock that flew to her by jumping backwards and launched another icicle at another golem .

She drew out different conclusions and the more she thought , the fiercer her attacks became .

She killed all the monster with ice magic , and simply flicked them , or touched them to break them into pieces . She kept walking further and further in the dungeon as she thought about his reasoning .

' I don't know him that well .' She thought as she put a wall of ice on the way between her and the monsters . ' All I ever saw was his caring side and he seems to have realized those memories aren't his .'

The wall branched outwards towards the monsters and pierced them all before it completely collapsed into small ice crystals , that further turned into finer dust .

The monsters slowly collapsed to the ground as Leah collected all the dust that was stained in red . She slowly brought her hand to her mouth and blew on the dust ' I know who he is .' She thought as she looked at the red snow in front of her . ' But do I know who he really is ?' she thought back to the memories she saw a few days ago when she was trying to learn the magic from the tomes .

' I only know some of it . If he never tells me , I will always remain in the dark . Evermore so now , that he has a gift that directly stops me from reading his mind .'

' I need to know his reasoning at the very least .' She thought as she kept on going through the train , killing as many monsters that came in her way as she could .

' What if ... '

' It'll be her decision .' He thought as he made another monster fall without it's head . ' Why do you care so much anyways ?'

' Master is too soft , especially when it comes to her .' Luna's voice rang in his mind like always as he flew to the next monster .

' She is my sister . I have to be soft on her , otherwise , I am afraid of being left with no one ... just like before .' He thought with a smile on his face .

' Is that really the reason ?' He heard Luna once more as he chopped down the head of a monster .

' I think it is .' He ran to another monster ' And anyways , why Aren't you as sharp as you look ? It's so hard to kill these things .'

He heard a sweet giggle in his mind as Luna spoke once more ' I grow with whoever uses me . If you want me to be sharper , you will find out how soon . You know how to do it , but just can't connect my sharpness to that yet .'

Leo nodded as he slashed at the neck of a golem the 3rd time as he watched the head fall to the ground .

' You do know that I can read your mind , right ? I am connected with you . I am what you desire to see .' He heard her voice once more as he sliced another head after a few minutes .

Leo laughed as he said ' Like an imaginary friend ?'

Luna spoke once more in his head ' You created a friend due to your loneliness . You don't trust human , so you made it in the look of an animal . ' You don't like the challenging type , so I became submissive . Like I said , you created the perfect friend for yourself , because even with your sister , you felt lonely .'

Leo instantly denied her words " I had no one for at least 30 years of my past life . Any person who gives me love unconditionally like her is the most precious gem ." He said these words that he felt like shouting .

He sliced off half the body of a golem as he sliced with the scythe diagonally across it's body . The force of this slice directly blunged the tip of the blade into the ground . He squatted on the ground as he looked at the scythe in front of him " She loves me , and needs me by her side and that's all that matters ."

He waited for a reply , but when he got nothing he said " You can directly go into my body when you feel like it ."

He stood up and walked towards another monster in a distance , that was walking towards him too .

He jumped up and punched it's head from a side . As he landed on the ground and jumped up to axe kick it's head . After the monster fell to the ground he stood in front of it , waiting for any movements , he felt hands around his waist as he felt someone embrace him from behind . He was about to shout Leah's name when he heard Luna's whispers in his ear " Is it really you she loves ?"
