Supreme God Chapter 14 - Wedding (2)

Chapter 14: Wedding (2)

Passing through a long corridor, the three finally came to the main hall and Adelos felt as if he'd suddenly entered a market filled with loud banging noises.

Thousands of gods and goddesses immediately greeted Styx upon seeing her presence. Styx smiled and returned the greeting back one by one. The gods and goddesses standing in the hall were her brothers and sisters. They were an Oceanid and the son and daughter or granddaughter and grandson of Oceanus and Tethys. These brothers and sisters were highly respectful towards their elder sister.

Adelos immediately slandered Zeus in his heart. If the gods in Olympus wish to compare their children, they'd only fail. Oceanus has thousands upon thousands of offsprings.

"Sister, is this your new child?" The River God, Achelous, and father of the sirens asked Styx. He was also her eldest brother. His brother-in-law, Paris had been locked in the deep abyss of Tartarus for supporting the rule of Cronus. Achelous isn't sure which god had grabbed hold of his sister's heart.

Styx shook her head. "No. They are children of Zeus and Leto."

The gods and goddesses were immediately thrilled upon hearing their origins. Over the past few days, their father, Oceanus, and mother, Tethys lashed out in furious anger. They urged them to look for Leto's children else seek retribution hence they were forced to listen to the sound of a conch above the ocean sea. Their ears grew swollen, but still, they heard nothing. If it hadn't been for their sister, Amphitrite marrying Poseidon today, they were sure they'd still be out searching the whereabouts of Leto's children.

Hearing Achelous speak slowly, Styx knew Artemis and Adelos had recently learned the existence of their grandfather and grandmother for the first time. Artemis, in particular, gripped her fist in pleasure hearing her two grandparents to demand justice.

But however, she did not know the results which unfolded.

Styx looked at her compassionately. Though she hadn't gone to watch the battle, her daughter Nikki, Goddess of Victory, told her in great details what had occurred from beginning to end. Fortunately, they were able to escape despite inflicting heavy injuries else they'd not be able to escape their fate of being imprisoned.

Adelos looked at the solemn looks the gods and goddesses donned. He turned to Styx and asked the well-being of his grandparents in a hushed tone.

"They ran away." Styx replied.

Adelos roughly guessed what had happened.

At the moment of their defeat, they saw an opportunity of escape managed to flee in haste.

That's good… they're okay… that's good…

Hopefully, they'll be able to find his and her sister's whereabouts here in the seven seas.

A boom echoed high above the hall.

"Quiet! Quiet!" Someone shouted.

The noise suddenly stopped.

Adelos looked up and saw several gods coming out from behind. On the left was a young man donned in deep blue armor and trident held in one hand. He was handsome from the depths of his eyes which hinted a touch of aggressiveness down to his blonde hair booming with confidence which wantonly spread all around. His pace was fast, almighty, and powerful as he stood in the center of the hall in just a few steps.

To the right were three gods; two looked to be in their middle-age while one was a young female goddess dressed in loose blue robes. She held the hand of the middle-aged god. The goddess wore an elegant crown. She looked graceful and her beauty… it was everlasting. Similarly, she was also covered in armor.

As the three gods came to the center of the hall, the trident-wielding youth gently held the goddess' hand away from the middle-aged god. Then, he took a few steps forward and looked all around. Suddenly, he raised the goddess' hand. As he did this, there was a roar of cheers heard.

"Brothers and sisters, today is the day that I, Poseidon weds your sister, Amphitrite. After today, she and I will become one. She is half of me and I am half of her. After today, I will also be one of your brothers and sisters. I will share the honors and sufferings with you. When my brother Zeus, the King of Gods, heard of this marriage, he was delighted that I'd become one of your brothers and sisters that he sent us a golden chariot as a congratulatory gift."

Poseidon pointed to a golden chariot with a golden horse next to the hall.

"You may not be aware… but this chariot had used by Uranus, the first King of Gods. This can only mean one thing. The King of Gods had given us the power to rule and dominate the seas! Our parents, Oceanus and Tethys was once appointed as ruler of the seas by the previous King of Gods, but today, I, your brother will now hold kingly position as the protector and ruler of the seas. This vast and endless sea will become your playground!"

A loud roar echoed again.

"However, I have heard that there is a god abandoned by the changing times who often comes out not to make peace but troubles. Even some of our brothers and sisters had been wounded by this god. Some had almost died."

Thereafter, Poseidon pointed to the gods and goddesses next to him. Their breathing was weak and their face looked haggard and pale.

"Teu, Tikki, Xanthe, Kesso, Ursinia, how did you suffer such heavy injuries?"
