Supreme God Chapter 12 - Eos and Styx (2)

Chapter 12: Eos and Styx (2)

Zeus quickly called for the Three Goddess of Fate to inquire the destiny of Theia's child in her belly.

Hera groaned inwardly.

You fought for seven days and seven nights without problem, but when the enemies was about to be captured, you've suddenly got pain issues because of a fetus? What a good excuse!

"Her beauty will cause many gods and mortal men to grow intoxicated and obsessed of her looks as she dyes the sky of dawn with her precious light." Said Clotho, the Spinner who spun the threads of life and future.

"Dyes the sky dawn? Sure enough, she'll have good godhood. Shall we call her Eos?" Zeus exclaimed.

"Thank you for the name you have bestowed to your child, King of Gods. When she is born, she will be called Eos." Hyperion smiled softly.

Since he had decided to back and support Zeus, he put aside his opinions and cared not for many things but the safety of his wife and children. Behind him stood the newly appointed Sun God, Helios and Moon God, Selene who nodded happily.

"After she is born, I'll give her the golden chariot driven by two pegasus. It is my blessings to her."

The Goddess of Justice whispered to herself. "Dawn? Who is Dawn…?"

Somewhere in the vast ocean exists a place called Arcadia. It was a spring day. There was a touch of playfulness in nature, in the skies, woodland, and earthen soil. The evergreen grass was echoed by the wind to flutter softly on by as the flowers bloomed in splendor.

In this island, Artemis and Adelos rested against the boughs of the trees.

Artemis had led her little brother all the way to these beautiful islands.

Though they suffered storms, roughs waves, and sea monsters, they did not suffer one bit. When the storm raged on, they saw an island; when the rough waves hit, it quickly moved and turned another direction; and when they encountered a sea monster, a goddess had saved them.

The goddess wore a black dress matching her onyx hair flowing freely like a waterfall. She was an Oceanid and the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys.

Adelos gazed at the Oceanid goddess named Styx in front of him. His mind wandered to when a sea monster emerged and attacked them. He thought he'd die a bitter death, but was instead saved by the Oceanid.

She looked like Leto. She had deep black hair and starry eyes. If not for her tall stature and beautiful nose, he'd suspect her to be his mother.

"So you are the daughter and son of Zeus and Leto? And meanwhile, Hera is chasing after you?" The Goddess Styx questioned as she gave a strange look.

Styx was the cousin to Zeus and Leto. She was the daughter of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys.

"Yes, that is right. Aunt Styx, I don't want to drag you in this mess so please don't hand us over. We will find a place to hind and grow up." Artemis looked ragged but her eyes were firm while confronting Styx head on.

Styx smiled softly. She had a feeling the innocent little girl would blossom into a great god given time.

She patted Artemis head and smiled. "What do you think? You and your little brother will grow up here in Arcadia. No one will dare come and hurt you."

She was the goddess and guardian of the Styx River, a boundary between Earth and the Underworld. Fearing the Underworld, no dared offend her.

Arcadia was a place where she grew up with her dear sisters. It is a place full of fond memories. Whenever sprint came, she'd often come to this place and spend a happy month with all her sisters.

"Aunt Styx, aren't you saying that all your sisters live her? But… I do not see anyone." Adelos asked curiously.

This island was different from the Arcadia he knew of which brimmed with a many beautiful goddesses.

"They all went to the wedding. You two, go fix yourselves and wait to go with me."

"Wedding?! Whose wedding?!" Artemis asked excitedly.

She lived in a desolate island her whole life never knowing anything but her brothers and mother. The things happening outside of Delos Island she only knew because of her mother's words.

"It is Amphitrite. She is my sister and your aunt." Styx smiled once more.

Hearing the name Amphitrite, Adelos delved deep in his thoughts.

If I remember correctly, Amphitrite's husband should be the King of the Sea.
