Supreme God Chapter 5 - The Titans Fall Apart

Coeus. When the other gods of the sea heard this name, it was an outburst. The god of the celestial axis, Coeus, the son of Gaia and Uranus the first King of Gods. He was the elder brother of Oceanus and Tethys, no wonder he dared to yell at them. The goddess standing next to him should be Phoebe, their fellow sister. Hearing the name of Python, Phoebe rushed to her husband Coeus. “I already said that Hera is a sinister woman. Since she chased Leto once, there will be a second time. You did not listen to me, now that's enough, if my daughter and grandson have an accident, I won't spare you.”

“Oceanus, I ask you to look for my granddaughter and little grandson and to take care of them. I want to go to Olympus with Phoebe.”

Oceanus nodded and said: “Do not worry, I will take care of them.” He then asked: “What are you going to do, attack Olympus?”

“Hera thought that when she became the queen of gods, she could step on us the old gods. I am going to Olympus and I want to ask Zeus and Hera an explanation.”

“Are you not on the right mind? Now they are recognized by the gods. Although their foundation is unstable, sooner or later, they will dominate the gods and the living beings like Cronus. At this time, anyone who embarrassed them will definitely be liquidated.” Oceanus persuaded Coeus. Oceanus had the character of a good old man, and he only wanted to keep things at ease.

Coeus was expressionless: “I am different from you. You have a lot of children. You need to consider their safety. You endured when Metis was eaten by Zeus. But I only have two daughters, Leto and Astoria. For their safety, I will risk my life to fight Zeus.”

The goddess of wisdom, Metis, was the favorite daughter of Oceanus and was also recognized as the most intelligent goddess. She advised Zeus to help him overthrow the rule of Cronus and climb the throne of the King of gods. After Zeus defeated Cronus, he began to pursue Metis, and Metis changed shape many times to avoid his pursuit. But in the end, the most intelligent goddess was taken by Zeus's love. When she was pregnant, Zeus took the opportunity to swallow her, because Gaia had predicted that after she gave birth to her daughter, she would give birth to a son who would become the King of gods and overthrow Zeus. Because of the fear of this happening, and under the shackles of Gaia, Zeus swallowed her into his stomach.

This matter had happened for more than a decade, and no one dared to speak about it in front of Oceanus, but Oceanus, hearing Coeus's words, could only sigh.

Seeing Oceanus's sorrow, Phoebe yelled at Coeus: “You say too many meaningless words. We'll go to Olympus, we have to ask justice for our daughter and grandson.”

Coeus nodded and the two left.

After they left, Tethys ordered her son and daughter to go to the sea to find Artemis and Adelos. The gloomy sky and rumbling waves on the sea reflected the mood of the two sea gods.

Mount Olympus, above the clouds, Zeus was watching the songs and dances of the Muse in the main hall. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew from the temple, letting Zeus feel a touch of coolness.

“There is an enemy coming from the sea.” He picked up the glass and said to Hera and Themis who were sitting by his sides.

As his voice just sounded, someone shouted outside: “Hera, come out.”

On the Mount Olympus, all the gods heard this voice, including the sub-gods. Hearing this voice, Zeus's look was very unpleasant, and Hera wore a furious look on her face. She was born noble, and now she was the Queen of gods. She didn't expect anyone to call her in such an impolite way.

“Phoebe.” Themis heard the voice and realized who came.

Above the hall, two people appeared, it was Phoebe and Coeus.

“The two Titans, why did you come to Mount Olympus?” Zeus said with a glass of wine in his hand and smiled at them.

The gods who were familiar with Zeus knew that the more Zeus smiles, the angrier he is. He was the King of gods on the Mount Olympus for nearly a hundred years. This is the first time someone knocked at its door.

Phoebe snorted: “You are happy. It's a pity my daughter Leto, my granddaughter and grandson were pursued by Python who was sent by Hera, and now their life or death is unknown.”

“What did the Goddess of Glory say? Since the birth of Artemis and Apollo, Hera is never gone outside of Mount Olympus. How could it be possible for her to kill Leto?”

Zeus heard that and had a headache. He knew Hera had been chasing Leto before, so he limited Hera's movements to Mount Olympus, for the reason that he would have a son with her.

Phoebe was angry: “She has not been outside of Olympus for a few years, but the snake was sent out a year ago, that means that she has not stopped pursuing Leto.”

Hera sneered and sat in the main hall: “What is it that I sent out? Leto seduced my husband. I didn't try to kill her. I was already kind.”

“Sure enough, you are a benevolent goddess, why you don't look at what is your husband's virtue…·”

“Goddess of Glory, I respect you as the daughter of Gaia and my mother's sister, so I won't punish you for coming to my hall without permission. But, I also hope that you are self-respecting and stop trifling.” Zeus heard that what they said involved himself and quickly interrupted them.

“Trifling? Did you do it or not, you know better than us. I want to see if you are the new King of gods who is said to have defeated Cronus, whether you have the ability to deserve such position.” When Phoebe listened to Zeus, she directly challenged him. Cronus was their younger brother, Zeus's father, but was defeated by Zeus and his other brothers and sisters.

At this time, Zeus drank the drink in the cup, and his eyes turned cold. He laughed happily: “In this case, I don't mind letting two more gods disappear between the heavens and the earth.” Being confident is actually going to be an enemy.

“To deal with both of you, why does it need the King of God to take a shot? Your Majesty, can you hand this work over to us?” As the voice fell, there was another man and a woman above the hall. The male god was dressed in a sky-blue robe, with a beard, his eyes were empty, seeming able to penetrate people's heart. The goddess wore a white robe and her beauty was unusual. Her face was 60-70% similar to Phoebe's.

Coeus, who never uttered a word since he entered the hall of Olympus saw the two gods who just arrived, and couldn't help but show a change in his facial expression: "Hyperion, Theia, it's actually the two of you." They were the god and the goddess of light, and also Coeus's brother and sister.

The first generation King of gods, Uranus and his mother Gaia, had twelve children. The twelve children overthrew the rule of Uranus, the god of nature, and gained the right to rule in the world. They were called the twelve Titans.

The Lord of Time, Cronus, who once overthrew his father, was defeated by his own children, and his wife, the mother of Zeus and Hera, Rhea, who accepted to support Olympus. The Lord of the Sea Oceanus and the ocean goddess Tethys hid, focused on breeding and educating their children; Themis and Mnemosyne committed to Zeus, the former became the goddess of law and justice, the latter became the goddess of memory and writing; the god of speech, Iapetus, was secluded, and Crius was defeated in the Battle of Titans and was currently being imprisoned in the abyss of Tartarus.

Were two couples of Titans, Hyperion and Theia, and Coeus and Phoebe going to become enemy in the main hall of Olympus?

After saying this, Hyperion turned toward Zeus: “King of gods, I heard right now that no one is in charge of the position of the sun and the moon in the sky. My son Helios and my daughter Selene, although their strength is sufficient, wants to contribute to the King of gods.”

Zeus laughed: “I have heard about them, Lord of the Sky and goddess of light, they are excellent children. The position of Sun God and Moon God are most suitable for them.”

Hyperion nodded as said his thanks. He then said, “I didn't bring any gifts for the King of gods. To repay your kindness, I will capture these two incompetent insurgents and hand them to you.”

“Alright, Lord of the High Altitudes, you need to be careful.” Zeus knew that Hyperion didn't say the truth. His strength and Coeus are not in the same league. It is impossible for him to win against Coeus. But letting the Titans fight each other, is what he wanted the most today. After all, the strength of a Titan was too big, it could threaten him.

Coeus suddenly burst into sad laughers. Brothers who grew up together and fought together, are they finally going to confront each other on the battlefield?
