Stole His Heart

Ayan didn't realize Kiera's presence until she spoke out. Holding a child... Alas! that he never did before. He was already holding the baby in a weird way but after seeing her, he almost forgot he had his niece in his arms. As a result, the baby started to cry for holding her in an uncomfortable position.

Kiera held her head with utter frustration and then moved forward towards him. She snatched the baby into her arms and soothed her.

OMG! She is so adorable. There're red tints on her skin which looked like natural blush. She looked so damn cute that it instantly made Kiera smile. That baby girl also stopped crying as soon as Kiera took her into her arms.

"At least you should know how to hold a child properly."

Kiera's stern gaze made Ayan embarrassed. But he didn't expect her to come forward and help him. He grinned thinking about that.

"Then teach me." He added shamelessly.

"Uhm.... Who is she, Ayan?" But Ayan was yet to come back to reality to reply to her as he was still in his wonderworld.

Adam and Mary were patiently watching those two being lovey-dovey over their child until now. Their little brother had this beautiful girlfriend kept hidden and never told them which was very unfair to them, they thought.

Kiera finally realized that she should return the baby to their parents. She never was this embarrassed in her whole life. What the heck was she doing carrying other's children though she never met these people before? She couldn't resist it because the child is so adorable that she made her hold herself in her arms. Thank God, they don't look angry. Instead, they were smiling at her which made her more embarrassed.

Ayan was also astonished at her timid and embarrassed self. She was lowering her head, blushing with utter embarrassment. All those seemed cute to him. When did he become so observant of human expressions?

Mary understood Kiera's shyness as she watched her standing still there and so tried to strike up a conversation.

"Isn't it cute?"

"Yes, she is very adorable," she smilingly replied as she thought the lady indicated her child.

"No, I am not talking about our daughter. I was asking about my brother-in-law. He is cute, right?"

Kiera was stunned by this response. It was clear that the lady was referring to that guy. But why did she ask this of all things? How could she know if this lady's brother-in-law is cute or not? Kiera didn't read too much into it and innocently glanced back at Ayan.

Hmm, he is kinda cute indeed. She then nodded at the lady as if she was giving approval of what that lady said.

Her sudden behavior made Ayan blush. His brother and sister-in-law also started laughing. At first, Kiera was clueless. But when she saw their expression, she understood what was going on. Damn, today's not her day! Kiera never felt this embarrassed in front of any stranger before. She always regained her composure in front of people but today, today was an exception. What is she even doing here? She should clear this misunderstanding.

But when she turned to look at the guy named Ayan, she was dumbfounded. He was smiling, grinning to be exact. His smile felt so mesmerizing to her that she couldn't take her eyes off him for some moments. Never did she see this kind of cute expression on a grown man's face. It didn't look weird at him, rather it looked perfect. In fact, he looked more handsome than before somehow.

Suddenly she remembered about Owen. Did Owen ever give this kind of expression because of her? He wasn't the cute type, but still, this kind of smile looked so beautiful on this guy's face that she started to fancy what it would look like on Owen's face too. Shit, it looked like she still didn't give up on him completely. Habits can't fade just in time, you need to work hard too, to give up on those habits. Kiera wasn't working hard enough I guess, to forget this habit named Owen. Maybe she still treasures it in the core of her heart? This can't be called as giving up, it should be better to call it as living in her past, living her own fantasy.

Remembering Owen, Kiera's bright expression was suddenly gone which wasn't hard to notice for the other people of the hospital room. How funny it is! At one moment you will feel happy and at another moment you just feel sad. There is a very thin difference between happiness and sadness. It just rotates on its own without letting us know.

Ayan thought these conversations made her uncomfortable. So, he signaled Adam and Mary not to continue this teasing further. Suddenly, Kiera moved and walked out of the room without saying anything. Ayan wanted to chase after her but his brother stopped him.

"Who is she?"

"I don't know either."

His brother chuckled saying, "It won't be so bad if you get to know her more."

Ayan smiled back. "Yeah, now let me go if you want me to do that."

"Go for it, you brat! We are waiting for the good news," Mary shouted from behind.

Ayan was no longer there to listen to her though. He was running as fast as he could. All the hospital staff was giving him weird gazes for running like a madman. But he didn't care a single bit about that. His mind was wandering on another world.

He didn't give her her money back. He also didn't ask her name. He didn't even get to ask where she lives. Furthermore, he couldn't get back a very important thing from her. His heart. Maybe it was a mere 2- or 3-hours encounter. But it was enough for her to steal his heart.

Ayan never felt like this. What is this? There is a crazy urge to find her and make her his. This type of urge that he never felt before, made him kinda surprised, shocked, and at the same time happy. Because in this world, there was nothing that could make Ayan this excited until she came into his life. Yes, until she came. Maybe that's why they call it love at first sight? You can never know the real feeling until you encounter it. He didn't believe in those fairy tales until now. She was a woman who could make a big impact on him just by a mere expression, she could make him blush hard in an instant, she could make him fall in love at first sight with her. She was amazing, that was the only fact he could come to right now.

"Don't worry pretty lady, I am gonna finish our transactions soon." Ayan chuckled heartily as he ran faster.
