A handsome But Rude Guy

Anna stepped on the escalator as the car started to move slowly. She drove towards Kiera's apartment. The weather was stuffy as well as the atmosphere inside the car. No one was talking. One person was busy driving and another was busy scrolling their phone.

The person who touched Anna's shoulder was Kiera's cousin. Kiera was right. He is not some weird adult. Maybe he does not need to be weird because he can easily get attention with his face, Anna thought. Annabelle met many handsome guys when she was in the entertainment industry. Some of them wanted to date her so badly that they still didn't give up and wanted to keep in contact with her despite her blatant rejection. But compared to this guy, they were nothing. It was not just his face but also maybe his cold and mystical personality that made Anna astound in this way. He emits a different kind of aura around him. His presence proves his cold, introverted, magnificent persona. He had moderately fair skin which was a bit tanned. His silky hair which was maybe back brushed before now laying on the left side of his head lazily. It looked beautiful. His pitch-black eyes, they seemed like they engulfed a great mystery inside them. Even his eyelashes were bigger and prettier than hers.

Long legs, wide shoulders, pointed sharp chin.... Wait! Anna stopped her thought. What is she even doing? Gawking at a handsome man whom she just met an hour ago? But what can she do? In each angle, she could see that he was her ideal and perfect type that she thought she would meet one day. But of course, not for any romantic issue, she was actually a sucker for these kinds of highlighted faces as they inspired her to make new characters. She was a writer after all. So, she just can't avoid these significant points and so makes them useful for her work.

Since middle school, Anna had received tons of confessions from boys. Even that was not the end, there was a time, she was in high school then, the topper girl of her class confessed to her. As she always rejected all the boys who proposed to her, some people started to think that maybe she is not into boys. That topper girl also had a crush on her for a long time. So, after hearing those rumors, she gathered up some courage and confessed to her on the occasion of their school festival. To tell the truth, that girl was pretty, her confession was also unique than other guys', but alas! Anna's not into girls so she had to reject that girl too. After that, all her classmates started to think that she was just an arrogant girl. So, to save her image, she just told the whole class that she wants a demonic handsome guy to confess his love to her, or else she is never gonna date in her life. That was just an excuse to cool them but it went like backfire. All of the boys started trying out creepy things just to look like a demon.

She did say she fancies a demonic guy but not a demon itself. Going through this kind of joke, she somehow set this type as her ideal in her mind. These kinds of handsome people just don't exist, she thought that until now. But seeing Kiera's cousin, she dwelled on her previous thoughts. So, this kind of guy.... you can really encounter them in your life, huh? She herself was quite surprised to see this divine face let alone the girls at the airport. Maybe that's why they were screaming like mad girls back then.

Gosh, she's even blushing.

Thinking that she rolled her eyes. She was acting as if she had never seen any handsome man before. She shrugged thinking about her weird behavior.

Moreover. How can this guy be her ideal type? In fact, he is the rude type. That guy didn't even talk to her since they had left the airport. He actually didn't open his mouth at the airport too. All he did was just a little gesture like "Let's go" and after coming outside of the airport he just hopped in Anna's car as if he had already known that this was hers.

The silence was quite suffocating. To make it easy, Anna started to talk.

"Emm, how did you know I am the one who was going to pick you up?"

He was facing the window. After hearing the question, he turned to this way, making Anna skip a beat. Though she was looking at the road, she could feel his gaze.

"That stupid-looking billboard."

The deep melodious voice made Anna blush for no reason as she was quite observant of these kinds of things. It sounded like the continuous sound of ocean water splashing over the shore. It was powerful, at the same time refreshing. This is not fair! This guy even has a good voice. How can it be possible for a person to have no flaws? She thought.

Come to think of it, did he called that billboard stupid which she was holding?

"Eh? But that billboard, I wasn't holding high that time. There were so many people there...."

"But there was only one billboard that looked this stupid," he interrupted her. "This must be that idiot's idea," though he muttered those words to himself, Anna was able to hear them faintly.

Damn you, Kiera! Annabelle thought. She was very undoubted that the 'idiot' he meant was none other than Kiera. Although it was Kiera who was called an idiot, somehow it felt like it was directed to her. An idiot's friend is also an idiot, right?

Urghh... Just you come back Kiera, you are gonna pay for this, Anna thought.

The guy made a face like he didn't want to answer any other questions right now. That irritated face of his made Anna more annoyed. She was the one waiting for this unknown guy at the airport and now also driving him to his destination. Yet, he is acting as if Anna forced him into her service. No, this guy is not perfect. He would have been perfect if he didn't have such a rude personality.

Suddenly Annabelle looked at her outfit. Her black hoodie and sunglasses were covering almost 90% of her face. She totally looked hideous. On the other hand, even after this long journey, this guy was glowing like the front page of a fashion magazine. It made Anna super jealous. Damn, Anna! Why the heck did you dress up like this? Now you look like a clown beside him. The guy's probably thinking of her as some weirdo too.

Anna shook her head. Never in the past few years had she cared about her outfit once. She doesn't even know why she is caring about these all of a sudden now. Maybe that guy's face made her jealous? But no, she is not that bad herself too, is she?

Furthermore, she never blushed to see a real man in her life except for her celebrity crush. Even worse is that she blushed two times in a row today. Gosh, this is bad. But it's okay. It's not as if she is gonna see this guy again. Just let it be an exception just for today, she thought.

Anna parked the car in front of the building. As soon as he got out of the car, Anna closed the car door with great force after handing the apartment keys to him and left that guy dumbfounded. The car was leaving the block as Anna drove out of the area but his eyes were still fixed on the car until it disappeared from his sight.
