Ning Tao immediately stopped, bent over slowly, and put the firewood knife on the ground.

“Put your guns down. He's my boy… put your guns down!” Jiang Hao ordered angrily in a weak voice.

She seemed to want to say that Ning Tao was her “boyfriend”. In her desperation, she unconsciously uttered what she thought. Although she gave up halfway, it was clear that she already regarded Ning Tao as her boyfriend in her heart.

Several special forces guards with guns aimed at Ning Tao immediately lowered their guns. In fact, they knew Ning Tao was on their side, but after long training, their instinctive reaction made them order Ning Tao to put down the knife as soon as they saw it in his hand.

“You stay here,” said Ning Tao. “I'll look in his office.” He got up and went to Lin Qinghua's office. The bullet was still in his calf and he grimaced with pain as he took every step. Fortunately, his special spiritual power was healing his wound all the time. He would have felt no pain if the bullet had been removed.

The door of Lin Qinghua's office was closed.

Ning Tao reached out and knocked, yelling, “Qinghua, it's me, Ning Tao. You are safe.”

There was no response from the office.

Ning Tao frowned and made his nose to enter the state of smelling. Suddenly thousands of odors filled his nostrils. A second later, he threw himself sideways.

Boom!

There was a loud bang in the office, and the alloy door suddenly broke off its frame and crashed into Ning Tao. He didn't completely avoid it, was blown up and then hit the ground.

Flames and smoke rushed out of the office like flash floods!

The desks and chairs, computers, experimental equipment in the office instantly fragmented, burned and melted, and the innermost wall was overturned!

The fire in the office was quickly put out. Everything was blown up and the office was in a mess. Ning Tao looked everywhere he could, but he didn't find Lin Qinghua, or his bones, or even any trace of him.

Jiang Hao limped into the office, looked around, and said, “Lin Qinghua…”

“He wasn't even in the office when it exploded,” Ning Tao said.

Jiang Hao suddenly realized something. “You search the entire lab at once. Don't miss any corners. Liang Keming must be found!”

“Yes!” Several special forces guards scattered to conduct a floor-by-floor search in the laboratory.

Ning Tao's nose moved. He could smell Lin Qinghua and Liang Keming, but not in this office. His eyes immediately turned in the direction of the hole in the wall. It was a thick mountain forest.

“Tao, your wound needs to be treated right away,” Jiang Hao urged. She had no idea what Ning Tao found.

“Tell your people to stop searching and take those soldiers who tied up to safety. There are some out-of-control soldiers at the front door and back door. It's not over yet,” Ning Tao said grimly.

“Do you mean… Liang Keming isn't in the lab?” Jiang Hao looked surprised.

Ning Tao replied, “He has something to do with those out-of-control soldiers. I'll tell you about it later. Now do as I tell you.”

Without hesitation, Jiang Hao raised her voice and ordered, “Come back, all of you, and take those people to the warehouse and guard them carefully!”

Several special forces guys immediately went to carry out Jiang Hao's orders.

Ning Tao came to the collapsed wall, and the smell of Lin Qinghua and Liang Keming became stronger, extending into the mountain forest. His eyes moved to a spot on the ground where he saw a few drops of blood. He sniffed and found that it was Lin Qinghua's blood.

“Forget Liang Keming and Lin Qinghua,” Jiang Hao said. “Treat your wounds first. I'll call in reinforcements to seal off the mountain. They can't get away.”

Just then a special forces guard suddenly ran up and said nervously, “Captain! Captain, we found a strange thing in the warehouse. You, you go and see!”

“I'll be right there!” Jiang Hao limped off.

Ning Tao ran after her and held her, saying, “I'll go with you.”

Led by the special forces guard, Ning Tao and Jiang Hao arrived at the door of the lab's warehouse. The door was open, so that they could see inside the warehouse at a glance. On top of a pile of boxes containing supplies for the experiment was a crystal ball. In the center of the crystal ball was a cyan liquid flowing and emitting a cyan light. The surface of the crystal ball was studded with electronic components, delicate and strange circuit boards, individual CPUs and capacitors, etc., which looked very weird.

Jiang Hao's eyes were full of surprise and confusion. “What…what is this?”

Ning Tao snapped, “All of you back off. Don't get close to it!”

Ning Tao pushed Jiang Hao away, bounded into the warehouse, and closed the door and locked it.
