Such was the everyday situation at the Sky Clinic. Ning Tao had long been used to it to the point of indifference.

If he were to impulsively use it to cultivate something, would he not suffer a huge loss if it were to fail?

“Forget it. I won't delve further about it anymore. I'll just make whatever I need. If it fails, I'll just weld it into the Mauser pistol as a spiritual material.” Ning Tao contemplated no more, and decided to cultivate a scalpel.

He had learned the pre-school scalpel method from the recent Sky Clinic upgrade, and was just in need of a scalpel for practice.

After making the decision, Ning Tao cut the cloudy ore in half with the knife used for cutting medicinal herbs. He later used a mortar and pestle to grind it into powder form. His plan was to imitate the porcelain firing process, mixing water with the cloudy ore powder until a clay substance was produced, then mold it into the shape of a scalpel, to finally apply fire. However, just when he was about to get some water and mud, he changed his mind. The cloudy ore was such a mysterious and precious spiritual material. Would he not be wasting such a rare resource if he were to just use tap water to make it into clay form?

Ning Tao contemplated for a while. He then took a normal scalpel and made a slit on his left palm. Drops of blood dripped into the powdered cloudy ore. The ore powder quickly became a reddish-black.

After deciding that it was enough, Ning Tao stopped mixing his blood into the ore powder. He hastily stopped his bleeding wound, then mixed the substance into a clay form. The powder ground from a piece of cloudy ore half the size of a fist, had become even smaller after it became clay, only about the size of an egg. That was because the ore was structured like a porous beehive; it turned out smaller after it was ground.

After mixing the clay form, Ning Tao molded a clay knife according to the look of the ordinary scalpel, except for being just slightly bigger. It was 1.5 times larger than the ordinary scalpel, which would have been a little too big as a surgical scalpel, but would be more functional as a weapon. It was more like a custom-made Swiss Army knife.

Once he was finished with all preparations, Ning Tao placed the clay knife into the delicate perfumed tripod, then released his alchemy fire to cultivate it.

The black and white alchemy fire rose from within the delicate perfumed tripod, flickering and dancing, while its effect complemented the black and white aura inside of the good-evil tripod. It felt a little like a pair of “big brother and little brother”.

Not too long into the cultivation, fragrance exuded from the delicate perfumed tripod. There was a refreshing aroma; some sweet smell of honey, and a light smell of blood. When they were all mixed together, it was an foreign smell, which made one think of a mysterious dish. It was a very pleasant scent.

“If it were to produce a delicious piece of duck blood… then…” Ning Tao was feeling nervous.

It took exactly half an hour to be over, but the cultivation was not completed. Rather, it was because Ning Tao's alchemy fire could not burn for a longer period, since he was so exhausted and needed a rest.

The black and white alchemy fire had vanished. The clay scalpel in the delicate perfumed tripod was revealed.

It was just the first round of cultivation; the clay scalpel had managed to turn into a porcelain scalpel. It had a radiating glow in its black body. The color was a complete jet black, as if it could absorb all light. Its red was a fiery red, like the ember of a fire. Just by its colors, it looked extraordinary!

Ning Tao approached the good-evil tripod, and practiced the grade three elementary cultivation method to recover his spiritual power. A complete bodily circulation took about half an hour. Thereafter, he was completely revitalized again, and returned to the delicate perfumed tripod, where he released his alchemy fire to resume the cultivation.

Another half an hour had gone by in a flash; the second round of alchemy fire could no longer burn on and had extinguished again.

Ning Tao endured his tiredness, nearing the delicate perfumed tripod to look at the scalpel inside. Its color was still reddish black, but it had been further refined. The scalpel had a light golden shine radiating. The food-like smell had weakened. If he did not smell it intentionally, it was not obvious at all.

That was a good thing. If its pleasant scent did not weaken, but grew stronger instead, then it would be awkward when confronting his enemies; they would simply locate him and predict his route of attack by the scent of the scalpel during their battles.

After taking a look, Ning Tao approached the good-evil tripod again and activated his grade three elementary cultivation method. He was taking a break while cultivating his spiritual power, allowing him to be energized.

Ning Tao walked toward the delicate perfumed tripod. He glanced inside, and his eyes were instantly fixated.

The scalpel in the tripod had shrunk slightly, due to the refinement process in which its impurities had been purged. Such was normal. However, it was a top legendary spiritual material, which probably had a negligible amount of impurities. If there were any impurities removed, it would probably have been from Ning Tao's blood.

After ten refinement processes, the scalpel looked like it had been welded from a blackish gold metal and a type of red metal. The two combined perfectly, creating a brand new metallic spiritual material. What was more fascinating was that the black part of the scalpel remained still, while the red part seemed to be slowing moving, like actual blood flowing through vessels!

Ning Tao activated his power of sight and smell, and he could immediately detect the wisps of spiritual energy released from the scalpel. The initial smell of food had completely vanished, only leaving a light and refreshing scent of the spiritual energy.

Ning Tao suppressed the excitement inside of him. He took the scalpel. It was heavy, weighing not much differently from the powdered ore. That had again proven that, despite the cloudy ore being known as an ore, it actually had almost no impurities.

Ning Tao grabbed the scalpel and lightly waved it. A reddish black ribbon-like trail was drawn in mid-air. It looked like the first stream of sunray breaking through the dawn! The rising sun of the new day!

At the command of his thoughts, a series of shining golden words and images surfaced on Ning Tao's mind. The action he made with his hand had also changed. The scalpel was waved in mid-air, and the atmosphere which was cut through by the scalpel was searing hot! The waving shadows of a black scalpel and blood red flames had formed an image which resembled the cycle of a solar eclipse!

The scalpel could still be considered as a magic tool with just ten rounds of the refinement process in the delicate perfumed tripod. Yet, the refinement processes had its advantages. It was able to push the material's caliber to a particular level.

Ning Tao looked at the jet black, yet flaming and bloodied scalpel in his hand. He suddenly thought of naming it, and he did. “From now on, I'll call you the Blade of the Solar Eclipse!”

It was not just any name he had gotten out of nowhere. Not only did the name adhered to its appearance, but also its behavior!

NIng Tao did not dare to do anything more. That was the Sky Clinic after all. If he were to invoke its wrath, it could decide to destroy his scalpel, then all his hard work that night would go to waste.

Ning Tao kept the scalpel, and took out his phone, searching up on Tu Wenjin on Baidu.

The search engine provided an answer immediately. Tu Wenjin was the founder of Douqu.com. It was an entertainment website which distributed short clips and web productions, and had been very popular lately. His net worth was 12 billion according to Baidu. Young and accomplished indeed.

It also included a backstory of his start-up process. He was born to an ordinary working class family. His parents had sold their house for him to study overseas. Fortunately, he was capable enough to have started his own business abroad and received funding. It had been smooth sailing for him after he returned to the country, attaining major success just within a short duration of three years.

Ning Tao then typed in the name “Tang Zixian” into the search engine. Unfortunately, it ended up with a bunch of results of the names of female leads from romance novels. It was definitely not the Tang Zixian he was looking for.

Subsequently, Ning Tao returned to Tu Wenjin's page, and contemplated over the wall of text.

It was stated that he had studied in the United States, at Harvard University, and he had received investments there for his start-up. After he returned home, he had expanded his business and achieved a swift success. However, there was no information about how he had gotten the investments or who had invested.

It was Baidu after all. Anyone could edit it. There was no way of knowing for sure what was true or false.

However, Ning Tao had still managed to make some deductions based on the clues provided. “Studied in the US, and received investments there. He is a billionaire, yet he's so obedient towards that Tang Zixian, just like a servant. Could it be that his investor is Tang Zixian? If so, just how rich is she? Even if a woman like her was aiming for the Feminine-moon civilization, shouldn't she at least hire a few top-level bodyguards?”

That woman was a complete enigma.

No matter how much he was guessing, no matter how logical, they were all guesses. Any could be proven wrong before he attained any evidence.

Ning Tao stopped thinking, then dialed Jiang Hao's number on his phone.

An automated reply came from the other end: “The number you're dialing is unavailable…”

Ning Tao frowned slightly. “Why did she turn off her phone? Could it be that the ancestor seeking project has been reactivated?”

He had already intended to call Jiang Hao when he returned to Shennongjia, to get her to help investigate Tang Zixian and Tu Wenjin, but there was no signal in the forest. However, he did not expect that, once he was back in Guan City, Jiang Hao was unreachable. There was only one situation in which her phone would be turned off, and that would be if she was in the midst of an important mission.

Ning Tao picked up his belongings, then went to the wall where numerous blood locks had been drawn. He pointed the key right at the blood lock which led to the Feminine-moon City, but after a moment of hesitation, he rode on the God's Will electric bicycle. Then stuck the key into the blood lock which led to Shan City's “Little Mistress”.

The convenient door opened. Ning Tao and the bike instantly vanished into the darkness…
