My journey with an Endearing Stranger 28 Chapter 28

Jason's POV:

   I was still in shock looking at Hailey.....

  She was wearing a red knee length dress with her hair neatly tied into a bun and surely she looked magnificent. She is so beautiful that Chase is not able to take his eyes off her. All this looked funny because Chase has never behaved this way before. Later dad asked us to take her along with us and so we did.

   Finally, Chase succeeded in finding her name. They began walking and I stayed in the same place just to give them some privacy. Obviously he'll tell me every single thing that happens between them...haha....

    It seems as if they've become good friends now. The party went on well and everybody enjoyed except me. I was still searching for a girl who suits me. If the same continues,I will be flying around with a 'single' tag all my life... haha....

    After the party was over,everyone vacated and she too left along with her dad. Later ,we went inside to sleep. But this stupid, just like everyday,was ready to eat away my brain ...

    Asusually, he kept on speaking. But in the meanwhile ,a question has hit me hard...

     Is Chase in love with Hailey??If so,does she have the same feeling?, I slept thinking....

The next day morning,as soon as we reached the college,Hailey was already inside the classroom. She might be waiting for Chase. This time, they spoke with each other and the same thing repeated everyday and soon the entire college started talking about this pair. It was a mutual understanding I guess.

   One fine day, I asked Chase if he's loving her. I asked him just to confirm since I can't take chance in his matter.

He said that it's true that he had some feelings for Hailey earlier,but now he felt as if he couldn't live without her.

He felt little emotional since it was his first love. He wanted her to be with him for lifetime. He wanted to marry her and take care of her.

"  He dreamt a lot about Hailey", I added remembering those moments and trying to describe them to Helena.

   Helena was listening deeply to me.

Then she told,

" I never expected Chase would be that romantic.... Everything seemed well,but what happened later. What's the reason for their breakup?"

   "It would be best suited to call it a heart break rather than a break-up",I added.

  She gave me a questioning look. I felt I should continue the story otherwise she'll fill my brain with questions.

Then I again continued...

Chase and Hailey have become the dream couple. Everybody got to know about their relationship. We were not sure whether both of their's parents knew about their relationship. But we got clarification soon.....

   One day ,dad called us and said there's something important he has to discuss with. He asked us to attend the meeting ,in other sense a party which he arranged in his office. We wondered what it could be.

We slowly entered the hall and sat in the front row. There were many important people present in the hall.

    Since dad is hosting the party, he's on stage and talking something. Later our eyes went on to Mr. Pattinson's family. We were surprised as they were too present . Quickly,dad called Mr. Pattinson to come on to the dias and share the stage with him.

   We felt dad is going to plan something and we looked at each other trying to find out what it could be.

Then Dad started saying,

"Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! I expand my hearty welcome to everybody present here in the party.

    This party is arranged to announce something important. I,Mr. Charles Edwards and my friend Mr. Robert Pattinson would like to announce something related to our children....

We decided to make our children ,Mr. Chase Edwards and Ms. Hailey Pattinson get married to each other.

I hope everyone here are happy with our decision...."

   Saying all this, my dad looked at Chase confidently that he'd be happy with his decision. Obviously Chase is...

   Chase looked really happy listening to his dad. He looked everywhere to find Hailey and when he found her ,all that he did is ,he asked her once again if she's happy with this deal. This is not actually required because they were deeply in love with each other by then. She gave him a  reminiscent smile which confirmed that she was ready to get married to him.

    It was actually an year since they knew each other. They've become so close that Chase got habituated to discuss everything with her.

   I still remember the day, Chase went on his first date. He was very excited to meet Hailey. As I am his best friend,he shared with me every feeling he had for Hailey.

   At that moment, I really felt that Hailey is the most lucky girl to have such a caring person by her side.

"  Chase truly loved Hailey.....", I got a trace of tear running down my eye when I said this. This sentence has made me emotional. Because I experienced the pain Chase underwent when he was broken by Hailey.

   Helena looked at me feeling sorry for making me sob. She asked me what happened next.

I kept on saying,

    When it was just a month left for their marriage, something shocking came out. Everything was set for their wedding. As their marriage was officially announced ,everyone is waiting for their wedding.

     Hailey's family is rich enough just like Edward's. One day ,Chase thought of giving her a surprise and took me along with him to a place where she resides.  He planned a lot and he has brought a diamond ring he bought for her.

      He slowly looked inside from the window just to check out what she might be doing and was shocked seeing a man with Hailey. They were talking with each other. At first Chase thought he might be Hailey's friend but after listening to their conversation it was confirmed that it's not friendship,but it's something beyond that....

    Chase has come there to say something special but after he spoke with Hailey all about that she discussed with the man, Chase's mood completely changed.

   Saying all this, I looked at Helena who was already shocked.

   She  asked me what Hailey said... I felt she  might be wondering what happened next....
