My journey with an Endearing Stranger 15 Chapter 15

Asusually I did everything and came downstairs. Today I looked little happy again, after speaking to my mom yesterday. I had my breakfast and soon I stepped out of my house with the letter in my bag. I reached the station and sat at the same place. I began watching people outside. Later I took the letter out and began reading it. I do it everyday. While reading the letter,a naughty smile appeared on my face. Suddenly, I felt someone standing beside me. For a while, my heart began to race. I had a little hope that it might be Chase. Slowly,I turned around.

My jaw dropped on to the floor looking at the person beside me. It's not Chase. But ,this is someone I've been searching for.

It was a lady in a torn blue jeans having a black bag in her hand. She had her hair falling all over her shoulders. She looked at me with a smile on her face. It was that lady whom I saw with Chase that day. Yes! The same one.....

     She introduced herself that she's Hailey. Later she sat infront of me.... ,in Chase's place actually. I don't know why,but I had a strange feeling inside. I began asking myself if I should ask her about Chase or just remain quite. She then suddenly grabbed the letter in my hand and said,

" Hey! Poor Helena! Hm what's this? A letter? Is it a love letter? Haha....."

    I didn't got it what she was talking. By the way,how did she know about me? I then asked her how she knew my name.

She then smiled at me and began reading the letter out. God! What the hell is she doing? Damn it!

   "How dare you Hailey, to read my personal letter? "

This is what I actually wanted to say. But I remained calm. She then bursted out of laughing. I felt like I was being insulted. Yes! She's insulting me and my love.

    I took the letter from her hand and I kept it inside my bag. She then looked at me trying to stop her laugh. I gave her a serious look. She then stopped laughing and moved towards me trying to say something.

   She asked me if I love Chase? ....

With all the shy on my face , I said yes.

She then again laughed at me calling me "poor girl" repeatedly. This is irritating me. I said,"Stop it!"...... The train began to move. She then asked me if Chase too loves me. I said I don't know,but I feel he too loves me.

    The words that came out of her mouth in the next few minutes have hurt me very badly. She asked me if I know why Chase was not coming in the local train from the past few days. Hm! This is what I actually wanted to ask you, I said in myself. Later  I replied her that I don't know ,but I've been waiting for the moment to meet him.

   She then said that she's Chase's girlfriend and she is the reason why Chase is not showing on any interest on me. She said that they love each other and they're going to get married soon.She also suggested me that it's of no use wasting my time on him. She told me that I don't deserve him and his love. Having said that , she laughed at me and vacated the place. Tears rolled in my eyes. I began crying very badly like a small kid. I was not able to control myself. I believed in him very much,but how could he cheat me.

"Please don't do this to me Chase....."

I kept that letter inside and I returned home as I had no interest in going to office. I entered into my house and locked myself in my room. Then I started talking to me.... I can't blame Chase for this,I realised later. They might be loving each other from a very early time. It's my mistake.... Expecting much from a stranger. Yes! I expected much from him. I shouldn't have done this. But still, I can't divert my mood from him........

Hailey's POV:

Hm! Well . Really, poor Helena!!!! I pity you. You are so innocent that you seemed always ready to believe in all the shit I say. Haha.....

   Hey! Poor girl! How could you believe in me so badly?

I just tried to divert you from Chase. But you've blindly trusted me. He's no more yours. He's mine....now and forever.

   I think I've succeeded in my plan. I had two tasks to be done. One is creating a bad impression on Chase in Helena. The other one is bringing back Chase to my side. I did the first one. I never expected that I could do it so early. Ha! I slowly took my mobile and called Chase. I know very well that he would not answer my call, but still I tried. It didn't work. So I tried from a private number. The phone is ringing......

Chase: Hello.....

Hailey:Hello! Chase...

Chase: Yes... speaking. Who's this?

Hailey: Chase .... I'm Hailey. Please don't put off my call. I have something to say....

Chase: Aw shit! I don't want to listen to you.

Hailey: I want to talk yo you about Helena.

Chase: Did you meet her?

Hailey: Yeah! I met her today. Haha your strawberry.. right!

Chase: You!....

Hailey: I don't think she deserves you Chase...  I think your decision is bad.

Chase: Stop it right there. Stop giving your useless suggestions Ms.Hailey....

   Saying so he hung the phone. I already expected this. Now I think I have created a little disturbance in him. Let's see what happens next.
