My journey with an Endearing Stranger 23 Chapter 23

In the previous chapter,Jason ,after meeting Helena,tells Chase that she's perfect for him. Later Chase,with lots of excitement ,reaches the Brent's restaurant.

Chase's POV:

" Excuse me ,sir...", someone called me from behind.

" What's going on here!!!!", I said in myself in a confused tone.I turned around to find who it was.

It's ...

It's....

Huff! Wait....What!!!

It's the waiter. Only then I realised that I was dreaming.

"Holy shit! "

So.... I've been dreaming from the past few minutes. This means ..... She hasn't come yet. Aw!!!!!It depressed me a lot. It was such a very beautiful dream. It didn't appear as a dream actually.

Going deep into the dream once again.....:

My hands began to shiver while she began walking towards me. I gave a smile and welcomed her .I stood up and pulled back the chair offering her a seat just like a professional move we do while going on a first date. She smiled in return and sat infront of me.We both hesitated to talk at the beginning.

Since I was very eager to meet and talk to her, I spoke first.

"Helena... I actually am trying to tell you something from the past few days. I know , our meeting...,our journey... , everything was strange. And this strange journey has made me fall for you. I really love you Helena... I've been waiting for this moment..... Right from first day I saw you in the local train, I pretended to wait for our next meet.I felt myself lucky when I saw you the next day there.I love your cuteness,your talent,your way of speaking ... to me in particular and everything... I'll be the most happiest person if you come into my life... "

Helena remained silent. But.... Yes! I've seen the blush on her face....

This means........ Yeah!!!!!

Reality:

But..... This waiter, disturbed me. Uff!.....I then looked at my watch all of a sudden.

" It's 9' o clock...!!!!"

I have been waiting for her from a very long time.But.... well it's ok! She might be busy with something. I believe in her. She'll definitely come to meet me.

" I should be patient. Let's wait ....", I kept on saying this to myself as time was passing.

I observed a couple next to my table. They were so cute together. I think the man is going to propose her now. He looked very tensed. His excitement is clearly visible in his eyes. I can feel it because I too am going to do the same in about a few minutes. This couple actually has reminded me of our pair. This automatically brought a blush on my face. This incident again took me to the moment I saw her for the very first time.

" How strange our first meet is.... haha "

After sometime:

It's 12 o'clock....

I've been tapping my fingers while I was waiting for her. I really seemed to be restless. I know it. Anybody watching me might definitely think that I've gone mad. I looked around again and again if she was coming.

But....... No. I haven't seen any traces of her around me.

I observed the manager coming out of his room and again going inside. He's repeatedly looking at his watch.

He's actually waiting for me to leave.

I can clearly see that in the way he's looking at me. But, he didn't dare to come and talk to me all about this. This might be because, he knew me as the CEO of YYY company. But, this look itself is insulting me a lot.

" It's so embarrassing!...."

I finally attempted to call her.

It was ringing.....

ringing.....

ringing.....

Uff!!! There's no one answering on the other side. I called her a couple of times just to know if she had some problem attending the dinner today.

Even the clock has stroken 12:30. I thought it wouldn't be fine for the manager now. Before letting him warn me, I stood myself and started moving towards my car.It was too late. There's probably no one around me.There was a complete silence.

Many thoughts were running in my mind at the moment................. I stood placing my forehead on the car.

I wished that I could see her today.

But no........

I felt very disappointed that she didn't come over there.

"I love you Helena.

Why don't you understand?

Can't you feel it?"

I made stupid quotes in myself.

I went on very emotional. My eyes became wet. I can literally feel it. There's no one around me I guess. I remembered everyone looking at me with sympathy at the time they were about to leave the restaurant, after having dinner with their respective partners. A few showed pity while the rest laughed at me.

I felt it disgusting....

I just hate it when people do such things.....

While I was thinking deeply, someone placed their hand on my shoulder. I turned around to find who it was.

It's Jason.....

I wondered what he was doing there.

I don't want to show upon my pain to Jason. He can't bear that. So, I acted as if nothing happened and gave him a fake smile.

He asked me what happened there in the restaurant and why I was waiting outside at this late hour.

" Chase... I thought you'd come home soon. But no.... I have been waiting from a very long time, Chase....", Jason said looking into my eyes.

I searched for words.

What should I tell him now?

I then began saying,

" Um! Jason....

Actually, Aw....

I'm........"

This is my weakness. I can't lie...

Especially, to Jason. Moreover,he can

trace everything that runs in my mind. Finally,I tried to say something that ,

"Helena came and we had a lot of conversation and....." .

This man interrupted.....

" Enough Chase.... enough....You don't have to say all this. Please don't act. I know everything. I came here long back ago. I've been watching you Chase. Let's move....", he said it holding my hand to control my pain.

After sometime ,we reached home. I remained silent. Jason said something trying to bring me out of this mood. But, I know,nothing could help me out of this.

"Chase... I don't like you this way. She might be busy with something. Don't worry Chase.... She's yours...",Jason said.

"Thanks Jason..." ( I know Jason... Thanks for staying with me in hard times)

We slept later.
