The dinner was very enjoyable if one didn't think about the unhappy things that happened in the beginning. After the meal, the couple sent Bai Jian back to Bai Residence.

Leaning over the window, Bai Qingyan looked at her uncle with a gentle smile as she waved him goodbye.

Bai Qingyan clenched her fist.

Gu Hang! I'll never let you go!

This time around she would let him taste how it felt to lose a loved one.

As the car drove away, she kept staring at Bai Jian until she couldn't see him anymore. Then, she shifted her gaze to Gu Yezhi.

She took the initiative to place her hand on his arm and rested her face on his shoulder. From this position, she looked at the side of his beautiful face.

“Thank you for today, Yezhi.” She mumbled, sincerely.

She knew, from her previous life, that Gu Yezhi loved her and liked it when she depended on him. She would speak to him whenever something happened. It was also a way to curry favor with her husband.

This time though, she couldn't feel anything from him. Sometimes she felt he was very close and other times he felt very far away. She had believed he'd be pissed when she bothered him, but apparently, it was okay.

As she thought about it, Gu Yezhi reached out and took his little wife into his embrace.

He couldn't help but frown at the musk he smelled on her body. Aside from Bai Jian's fragrance, Bai Qingyan's body had also assimilated a messy smell from the other people present during the commotion at the restaurant's entrance.

With his wife acting so cutely, Gu Yezhi couldn't do anything to her. “Alright.”

The moment they were back in the villa, Bai Qingyan dropped her bag and ran straight to the bathroom. She desperately needed to clean her body. Just by looking at his eyebrows, she knew he wasn't happy.

While she bathed she thought of her current life. It was much better than before. Her uncle still lived, Gu Hang and Qin Xiaomeng were both in the hospital, and she was going to audition and become a real actress.
