The day after Lyra had Pia send the report into the governor office, two enforcers showed up at the Amara clan to question Lady Delju.

For three hours straight, Lady Delju was subjected to an interrogation. By the time it was over, the whole Amara clan was talking about it; by the third day, all of the capital city was chatting about it.

"Mother, my reputation has been ruined. Everyone presumes I have conspired to kill Mikaela. My teachers and friends all mock me, it's not just you who has lost everything. Why do you think I took a vacation!?" Sienna stood before her mother.

"Lady Lyra, we just received a message from Lord Mano." Pia passed the table over to Lyra for her to read.

"Yes...but Lady Delju's maids took her away with others when she overheard them talking..."

"Talking about what?" Pia asked.

"About...Miss Mikaela and Lady Delju..." Fayeth hung her head down low. She knew it wasn't right for the servants to speak about the ladies of the house, but she needed to do something to save her friend.

Once she was gone, Lyra moved to her residence with Pai following closely behind.

"What happened?" Behind closed doors, Lyra wanted to all the information Pia had gathered.

"Lady Delju convince Lady Jaelah to punish the kitchen for gossiping about the head family's problems."

Lyra had figured as much when she heard Lady Jaelah had gotten involved.

"Do you know what she said to convince her?"

"No....but it wouldn't take much to turn Lady Jaelah against you right now..."

"En..." Lyra knew Jaelah was waiting for a chance to get even with her after both her daughters were sent away to school following them harming Mika.

Now, her kitchen staff was all beaten and laying in the infirmary. How is she to feed all her people and herself, without a working kitchen.
