Chapter 2: Whiplash
His feet felt like they were about to fall off. His body feels shaky as he runs on only adrenaline at this point. He couldn’t stop running, or else that ominous man will get him. Cas has never experienced anything like that before as he sees a light in the distance as his weak body went into the bright city.
Even though it was night time the lights were bright enough to light up the area surrounding it for miles. Cas looked around for citizens for miles. Cas looked around for citizens in the city, but mysteriously nobody could be seen in the area he was in. His mind quickly thought of the police station nearby as he exhaustedly walked over near the entrance way. Suddenly his body felt a horrid wave of nausea corrupting his core, his legs felt like they were on the brink of snapping as he fell onto his knees. Footsteps surrounded him from all directions, but to his vision there wasn’t anybody in sight.
Cas felt as if he was going crazy, as he felt drastically dizzy before passing out on the spot.
{ Character perspective change: Perspective: Akil }
Akil sat down on his soft, cotton, smooth couch as he watched a random UFC match that was on TV as he sat down clearly frustrated. “ You know you could’ve handled that better right?” Chloe stated as she sat down next to him with a bowl of various ice cream flavors in her hand. Akil rolled his black eyes, as he stood up and put his jacket on. Chloe raised her eyebrow as she gazed at him as he walked toward the door. “Where do you plan on going at this time of hour?” She asked as a cold windy breeze swooshed in front of the door.
“Im headin out to the gym to get rid of some stress. I’ll order some Chinese food for dinner when I get back alright?” Akil said in an annoyed tone, as Chloe nodded her head without much room for concern. The cold wind blew as his red and black scarf whipped in the wind. He took a deep breath and sighed as he grabbed his blue and neon green bike that was chained near his white and black mailbox.
He pulled out his brown key and unlocked the chains, tossing the to the side without much care for whoever sees it. He reached into his left jacket pocket and pulled out some white earpods with a slightly brown cap on the bottom of each of them, and put them in his ear as he tapped some random song and began riding his bike down the dead road.
Akil hated Cas, and talking to him after 4 years only made that hatred worse. He would never forgive how he treated their old friend. He missed Ren and his optimistic attitude, and his caring nature. Ren was an African American male who was the youngest out of him, Akil, and Cas, which more than likely assisted in his kind-hearted personality. Sadly he was found the night he received a letter about him gaining a scholarship. He was so happy about it that he even promised to do all kinds of favors that most doubted that he would be able to keep all of them.
When Cas found out Ren died, he was found kicking Ren’s tombstone after everyone had left. He couldn’t forgive Cas for doing that, not in a million years. Akil parked his faintly glowing bike near a light-pole and walked into the gym he was previously in, but to his unfortunate luck. Someone would be close behind him.
