Chapter 13: Fly like the Wind

The room grew silent as they all stared at Aaron who pointed his revolver at the masked woman. His fingers carefully yet cautiously on the trigger waiting for any sense of movement.

The woman’s eyes stared through her plastic mask, as she stared at Aaron with eyes of anger.

Her eyes were a hollow black, like the abyss of despair.

“Put. the gun. Down.” She muttered while gritting her teeth with a sense of repulse, under her breath.

Aaron didn’t budge at all as his wrinkly eyes just glared back at with a fierce stance that screamed he was ready for a day like this.

Akil watched as the giant stepped behind her, covering her and Aaron with his shadow, and before Akil could even noticed what happened, the sound of a gunshot rattled repeatedly in his ears, like a ballon popping.

He leaned over as the woman collapsed onto the floor, and the giant rushed at Aaron, with anger clearly rushing in his heart.

Akil looked down, and noticed the woman had been shot in her chest, near where her heart would be.

The sound of conflict ringed in the background along with the bullet from a few moments ago.

Everything felt like an hellish nightmare as he knew he couldn’t help Aaron.




As his fate was already sealed.
