Who Moved My Mountain Chapter 29 part1

Time flew very fast as Yun Rong ate and drank at the office. At noon, Lu He Nian and her went to the dining hall to have lunch, where they were recognized by the employees of the company. 

They came early this morning, so only a few staff had seen Yun Rong. Although the news that the director brought a beautiful female secretary in today was passed around secretly, but seeing it themselves was much better than hearing it from others.  

Who said men did not gossip. There were a few hundreds of employees in the entire dining hall and all of them, without any exception, were eating while stealthily sneaked glances at Yun Rong. It was really a magnificent sight. 

Could the director's gossip be called gossip? It was related to the company's future development and the director's happiness.

As the staff of the Lu Corporation, they had to always bear in mind and constantly care about the director's mental and physical health, character, direction; and simply must not let the director make any unorthodox maneuver. Previously, due to the Lu Corporation only hiring male staff, it was spread outside that the director of the Lu Corporation was gay. This situation worked just fine. The male staff could finally let out their breath in relief. 

However…….

Everybody looked at Lu He Nian meaningfully. As it turned out, the director liked this type. Indeed, she was more beautiful than any celebrity, but her age……. not sure if she had actually grown into adulthood or not, really couldn't tell. Unexpectedly, the director was actually this kind of person.  

Yun Rong was stared at by so many people she could not eat comfortably. Lu He Nian saw thatbthe young lady didn't eat as normally and lifted his head, pushed his glasses and asked: "What is it? You don't like the food?"

"There are so many male employees in your company ah?" Yun Rong had very carefully put a piece of chicken in her mouth and said with her bulging cheek.

Lu He Nian was silent for a moment before he spoke in a low voice: "It's because of my life fate. Even though I wear a jade pendant to suppress it, the inauspicious air still affected the surrounding people; especially towards women, the influence was even bigger. Therefore, to prevent anything from happening to them, we only recruit male staff."

"Is it this jade?" Yun Rong listened to his explanation and her gaze fell on his fair neck where a black string could be seen from outside. She didn't wait for Lu He Nian's reply before she reached her hand out and gently pulled the string until the jade came into view. 

The four secretaries were sitting at a table not too far away from them. When Wan Jing raised his head, he happened to catch this scene and coughed violently, nearly spilling the soup in his hand. 

The other staff also didn't fare much better. The eyeballs of each and every one who saw the scene almost came out. For a moment, a continuous noise could be heard. If it was not the sound chopsticks falling, it was the sound of chopsticks hitting bowls.

Only when Lu He Nian coldly swept his eyes over them did everyone abruptly come out from their stupor. They turned their heads around at once and all lowered their heads to eat bitterly, feigning that they hadn't seen anything. It would be best if they directly became transparent.

Everyone could only use one sentence to express themselves: The company's dining hall's food was fragrant!

Lin Xiao Man was sitting among the crowd and grinded her molars tightly. The tips of her fingers gripping chopsticks had turned white. Following the saying, "what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over", she lowered her head. She must become beautiful, more beautiful than this Yun Rong!

The young lady's hand accidentally brushed Lu He Nian's neck and his body turned stiff. He lowered his eyes to see the hair on top of the young lady's head. His nose was assaulted by the strong fragrance of flowers.

Suddenly, Lu He Nian felt his throat a bit dry. He pursed his lips and, as much as possible, tried to keep his voice normal: "It's this jade. What's the matter?"

Yun Rong stuffed the jade back into his shirt collar, her fingertips inevitably brushing against his skin once again. Lu He Nian's body was once again stretched taut. He subconsciously reached out his hand to hold the young lady's shoulder and said in a low voice: "Don't move around while eating."  

Yun Rong sat down obediently straight away. She frowned and spoke: "This jade you are wearing is not good. I have a way to make your inauspicious air not leak at all."

"What method?" All of a sudden, Lu He Nian, who was a bit absent-minded, turned serious. This jade was already improved by Master Zhang. In the beginning, the inauspicious air wasn't this strong, so he only used paper talisman. One paper talisman could only be used for half a month before it turned black and turned to dust. Along with his growing age, it was getting harder for the charms to resist the inauspicious air. A paper amulet took less than three days before it was destroyed.  

Master Zhang looked through ancient texts to find the method of carving symbols inside jades to suppress evil. It was this jade which made it possible for him to have a bit of contact with his family, to go out to study and work. 

"Extend your left hand out." said Yun Rong.

Lu He Nian looked at his hand and slowly stretched it towards Yun Rong.

Yun Rong used one of her hands to grab onto Lu He Nian's hand while the other hand rapidly drew a mantra. Afterwards, she drew a circle on his left-hand palm. When her fingertips left his skin, the drawing glowed for a while before it quickly disappeared, as if nothing had ever happened.   

After Yun Rong released his hand, Lu He Nian felt a slight chill flooding the bones in his body. It wasn't cold, yet it made him quiver from head to toe. Following that, came a hard-to-describe calm and clear feeling.

At the same time, Lu He Nian also felt the faint inauspicious air in his body disappear and that hard-to-say oppressive feeling also faded away.  

"How do you feel?" Yun Rong lifted her head to see Lu He Nian's shocked expression. Asking like this, just like a child asking to be praised. 

Lu He Nian stared blankly then laughed softly, "It seems that the inauspicious air has really disappeared."

"That's of course." Yun Rong continued proudly: "You don't have to worry about the charm I personally draw. Second brother, rest assured that next time you can be in contact with women and they won't be affected in the slightest. With your age, you cannot be considered as young already. Finding your marriage partner early can be considered as a good deed ah!"

I almost forgot LHN wears glasses… hehe what terrible thoughts cross the minds of the employees ah

I said  just yesterday I have no idea about economics… this morning I received a mail asking me to read the anual report of a certain company and to read a book on financial acocunting and corporate finance to prepare for a business module I was forced to take >.< RIP me, just that report is 150 pages T^T
