CHAPTER 10: 

If what the handsome polar bear was saying is true, then even I would have kept this a secret .

By just eating you get strong? There's so many ways for someone to use it .

If it spreads, I'll be forever made to cook without even respecting my own will .

I want to amass points .

Maybe it's also alright to earn points that way, even if it's a cooking that is forced by someone, If I can saved up points then I'll get closer to my dream kitchen

But to cook with fear? My own principle won't let me .

What I want to do is for myself . Simply to cook because I want to .

"About my skill, I also plan on concealing it . Rather, it's not like I have contact with other people . "

In the end, as long as no one will know about it then it's all gonna be alright .  

And the me, right now doesn't even have anyone I know here or have someone to try my cooking . Since the opportunity to meet someone is rare .

First, I have to know the people around .  

In response to the, rude behavior of the knight guards with a dangerous glint in his eyes, he looked at them and then he softly took my hands .

Is what I said but I don't really know what face should I make or how should I smile in cases like this .

It truly is another world! 

And with that vague like smile, I thanked the handsome polar bear and then he smiled softly .

That innocent smile that is different from when he wanted to eat something . A, it's like a smile that someone older than you does .

That smile of his made my body go all "piki-tu" and frozen a bit . . . . . .

The handsome polar bear is scary .

To make me frozen like this . . . scary .

While I was still in a frozen state, the handsome polar bear softly removed his hands .

And then he looked at me .

"Isarai-sama, the thing is they told everyone in the palace that you are a noble lady chased out from her motherland"

"e?"

The handsome polar bear dropped off another bomb!

The result is just too shocking!

And just like that the handsome polar bear told me that I'm currently 'left' here and the situation I was in .

It's probably the reason the made, as to why someone like me is here .

And  the story that I heard from the handsome polar bear seems like a novel from somewhere .

Well my real situations is just different to what I was told so it just doesn't click .  

First of all, only some people knows that I am someone who came from another world . Right now they're telling them that I am someone who came from a far-away country and that after coming from what place to another, I ended up coming here .

"A noble lady from far away, that was how it was supposed to be . But while you were inside your room, the story changed . "

" . . . . . . a"

The moment I came here in this country, I locked myself inside my room .  

If I was really a noble lady, I should at least have one servant around me but seeing as there's none and that I'm all alone and the room given to me was the just a small room the corner of the palace, for this country I am not someone of importance .

And because of that, selfish rumors spreads and it was already too late when the rumors were established and became a noble lady exiled from her country, due to a lot of misdeeds .

It also seemed like I also had a fiancee and that the engagement was annulled .

And that I kept on doing bad things on all the countries I've been and in the end no one wanted me so I ended up here .  

For the people of this country, I became someone of a liability and they ended up picking the short end of the stick . They wanted me to return to my country but since it was impossible . They have no choice but to shelter me .

Amazing . What a surprising turn of events .

Having a bad attitude, engagement annulled, after being tossed around and in the end, I came to this country, unneeded and became someone who's being fed and sheltered, a freeloader .

" . . . . . . So that's why the people from before were acting like that . "

I was really sneered at a while ago .

They're the ones who summoned me and did this but in the end it seemed like they're the ones doing charity and all the good things .

. . . . . . Un . Well it couldn't be helped with that blonde kappa's attitude a while ago .   It's like saying "Don't give troubles to my country" 

"The reason why they have bad will against Isarai-sama is also my fault . It was all a baseless rumours . And since I was giving too much attention to you that's why I really can't do much but from here on I'll make sure to prevent the rumors from spreading"

The moment he said that, those blue eyes of his lits up .  

. . . . . . I didn't see it . I'm not looking at anything .  

"A, That's right . Those knights were saying dog stuff and that you were supposed to be the guard of the Saint"

Un . I did heard all sorts of information awhile ago, and while we're at it might as well ask him . So after hearing what I said, the handsome polar bear nodded his head .  

"Yes . I was originally someone from the demon beast forest" 

" . . . . . . Demon Beast forest?"

"That's right . Even though I did mention that there's the Saint's barrier, it still isn't enough . Something unexpected always happens that's why in order to lessen the amount of beasts, I was working there . " 

I see . Even though there's the barrier of the Saint, they couldn't just rely on it alone .
After nodding my once, the handsome polar bear continued his story .

"We are the northern knights . We faced demons instead of people, that's why we're different from other knight groups . That's why they were also calling us dogs, since most exemplary knights wouldn't go to a place like the north" 

"So that's why they call you northern dogs or say things like go back to your cage . "

"Yes . I was place in a special unit to protect the Saint, so I came to the palace . . . is probably something unforgivable for them . For the knights within the palace, a northern's dog sudden arrival and suddenly being told that I'll be their captain . Many didn't like the idea of it . "

The handsome polar bear explained it as if it's not something related to him .

But I was surprised after hearing the things he said .

. . . . . . A special unit to protect the Saint and he was supposed to be the Captain?

For a knight who was especially called from the north to come to the palace, originally isn't that a huge promotion . . . . . . !? 

"I, myself withdraw the position as the captain of the special unit . . . . . . . When I heard someone other than the Saint was summoned, I thought I'd rather protect that person . " (T/n: *SQUEALS*)

The handsome polar bear said as he looked straight at me .  

"We, knights from the north were always fighting with the demons beasts, and we also know that we were always relying on the barrier erected by the Saint and know just how strong and important the power of the Saint . " 

" . . . . . . But I am not the Saint"

That's right . I am not the Saint .

That's why the person he was supposed to be kneeling with is not me but that girl .

"Is it too late now if you return to that mission? I'll be fine" 

I know that this is hard but, he, who was supposed to be the captain of the special unit, is now babysitting some exiled noble lady that's . . . . . . .

Around everyone it probably nothing much and thinks that he might have done something bad .

"No . I am fine being here . "

Despite that, the handsome polar bear has properly denied my words .

" . . . . . . The moment I saw your smiling face . I thought I'm happy I chose this mission . "

Those blue eyes of his were so gentle . . . . . .

"I want to see your smile again"

Yes . I'm frozen solid here like a snow cone .
