“Does it hurt?”

Rimbaud murmured and repeated Bai Chunian’s question as if he didn’t quite understand. He only felt his body prickled with stabbing pain when the alpha’s estranged gaze fixed into him. He couldn’t help but retract his arm from Bai Chunian’s waist and gently hug himself.

Bai Chunian turned over and sat up. He reached down to lift a fin that was three inches below Rimbaud’s abdomen, “Let me see.”

Rimbaud grabbed his wrist. The omega’s arm was bandaged up to his fingertips, his muscular contours were subtle but very powerful. Both of them were equally matched, and after several rounds of tug-of-war, Rimbaud gained the upper hand. His whole body pressed on top of Bai Chunian while the end of his tail wrapped around both of his legs. His long webbed hands grasped the alpha’s wrists back to the top of his head.

Rimbaud gazed down at him, his blonde hair falling over his cheeks, and his chest surging up and down with his breathing, carefully looking at the alpha’s eyes.

It was difficult to control one’s eyes when experiencing intense emotions, the merman was the same. His struggle to control his hunger and anxiety was apparent. His eyes were flushed red and faint blood veins were winding all over his eyes.

Bai Chunian laid on his back on the bed. Facing the aggressive omega looking at him from above, his face leapt with a little bit of excitement.

“So fierce, are you trying to do me?” Bai Chunian said, despite his grasped hands. He even managed to laugh leisurely regardless of his vulnerable position, “Help me take it off.”

Taking advantage of the gap while Rimbaud was distracted listening, Bai Chunian released strong oppressive pheromones to stimulate Rimbaud’s glands. He broke away from his grasp and reversed their positions, pressing one hand against Rimbaud’s flat belly and using the other to lift the fin under his belly.

Rimbaud had all the organs of a human omega. The only difference was the location. There was a light-pink hole under the fin that was straining to open and close. Bai Chunian remembered that originally, the size was only of a small thin slit, but currently, it was a bit opened. There was a small suture wound on the edge. It didn’t seem like a new wound, but it still hadn’t healed yet—it was constantly inflamed, festering, red and swollen.

At first, Rimbaud only widened his eyes and calmed down. He was so silent that he even appeared well-behaved. He quietly reached out to cover the place that made him feel embarrassed, his cheeks unconsciously flushing red.

However, Bai Chunian gritted his teeth, pushed his hand away, and sneered in a low voice, “How many times have you been fucked here?”

Rimbaud was stunned for a moment, grabbed by his hair and forced to sit up roughly. Bai Chunian seemed to be enraged. His oppressive pheromones were released uncontrollably, pounding into the omega’s fragile glands. He gnawed at Rimbaud’s neck and glands similar to a rabid mad dog. The alpha’s naturally sharp canines gashed the omega’s skin, leaving tiny splotches of blood on the white sheet.

“Don’t you deserve it? You wanted to kill me and escape—who could have thought that huh?  Who could have thought? You should’ve just obediently stayed with me, did you think I couldn’t take you out? Are you happy being toyed like this?”

“I might as well do it myself.” Bai Chunian was so mad that he didn’t even know what he was saying. He couldn’t control the strength of his hand as he pulled his fin, and the thin fin leaving a white mark.

Rimbaud gave a startled cry. Soon after, he turned even more irritable with the provocation. Feeling insulted, he shook off Bai Chunian’s hand and released a large amount of oppressive pheromones in opposition. The tips of his fingers grew sharp claws and snapped deep into the flesh of Bai Chunian’s chest. Lowering his head close to his neck, his sharp teeth bit through a layer of skin on the side of Bai Chunian’s neck.

Mermans’ vindictiveness was the strongest among the marine species, and must return the damage done as it was done.

The health bar on Bai Chunian’s chest got reduced by one-fifth.

Rimbaud appeared to be desperately trying to suppress the rage and anger that was fast approaching its peak. The two people lied in a stalemate for a long time. He let go of Bai Chunian, hooked the wooden spiral staircase’s handrail with the tip of his tail, and left Bai Chunian’s bed. Without looking back, he climbed up to the bedroom on the second floor, got into the quilt, and stopped moving.

Bai Chunian leaned against the pillow and sat withered for a while. He rubbed his face to clear his head, went to the balcony to get some air, and touched his neck. Dried blood clots stuck to his fingertips, and there were several bloody tooth marks on his neck.

After seven or eight cigarette butts accumulated under his feet, he left the balcony and lightly walked up to the wooden staircase leading to the second floor. Rimbaud covered himself completely with a thin quilt, the shape looked like he rolled into a ball again.

Bai Chunian turned on the air conditioner in the bedroom and set it to 16 degrees for cooling. As he was leaving, he accidentally stepped on a hard object on the carpet. He squatted down to pick it up, and found that it was a pearl that was so cold to the point that it was somewhat icy in his hands.
