With the continuous loss of blood after being shot, the health bar on Lu Yan’s chest plummeted sharply to one-third. While the car drove through the rain of bullets, the stray bullets constantly shattered the glass window.

Rimbaud climbed from the passenger seat to the back seat. He used his tail to wrap around Lu Yan, wrapping him into a ball to block the shards of broken tempered glass falling from the window, as well as the stray bullets randomly hitting the car. His own health bar was also decreasing.

Lu Yan was curled in the center of the translucent tail, but he could still narrowly see the situation outside through the net-like blood vessels and the blood-red internal organs. He reluctantly patted Rimbaud’s tail, “Let go of me. Rifle bullets are too destructive, you’ll get knocked out soon.”

Bai Chunian focused on driving. He made a beautiful sharp S curve, dodging the Ghost Hunting Team’s shuttle bullet. He pressed open the sunroof, then threw the M25 sniper rifle standing upright in the passenger seat to Rimbaud. “They’re changing bullets.”

Taking advantage of the few seconds when the Ghost Hunting Team’s three members pulled back their bodies sticking out of the window and changing bullets, Rimbaud picked up the M25 and stretched out the sunroof. He lowered his body, his chest sticking close to the roof, and his center of gravity lowered. The car sprinting on the highway shook inevitably. Rimbaud tucked his golden hair that had raised up due to the strong wind behind his ear, and slightly lowered his chin. His sapphire eyes aimed through the scope and locked onto his target. His index finger lightly pressed on the trigger. An ear-piercing gunshot accompanied by the sound of a bursting tire, and the hum of tremor echoed between the highway and the high mountain.

Rimbaud retracted his body, silently sat back down, and pulled the bolt to reload the rifle. The right rear wheel of the Ghost Hunting Team’s Mercedes-Benz G-class was pierced by the sniper bullet, and the car that was persistently chasing them at high speed immediately drifted and crashed into the highway guardrail.

Under normal circumstances, such a fierce puncture and skidding would be completely uncontrollable. Yet surprisingly, the tires calmly adjusted their directions while the car spun wildly. Through the dark window, Bai Chunian stared at the driver through the rearview mirror—a North American gray wolf alpha calmly operating the steering wheel. With a pair of blue-gray wolf eyes, a half-lit cigar hanging from the corner of his mouth, and his canine puncturing the cigar.

The kill count on the alpha’s chest was 36, which was the most among the four. It seemed that he was He Suowei, likely the captain of the Ghost Hunting Team.

“Why didn’t you snipe the driver?” Lu Yan took advantage of this period of time to get a full shot of recovery serum, then stretched out his head and aimed at the wolf alpha that was driving.

“Hold on, don’t snipe.” Bai Chunian silently calculated the skid trajectory, then tapped on the communication device to contact Bi Lanxing in the other car, “Try to give them a push.”

Bi Lanxing understood what he meant, and at once, released five sturdy poisonous vines. The vines grew rapidly out of the car window and took root on the surface of the road. Within a few seconds, they had climbed to the front of the Ghost Hunting Team’s car. Five black python-like vines intertwined with each other and wove into a giant vine net palm, pushing towards the Mercedes-Benz G-class that was struggling on the edge of the guardrail about to overturn.

When the poisonous vine net nearly touched the car, a circular protective barrier of one meter in diameter appeared out of nowhere. The barrier reflected a light yellow glimmer, covered with circular potholes of different depths, and it floated between the vines and the car. The vine suddenly could no longer advance by half an inch. The corrosive poison was being sucked in by the circular barrier; it couldn’t even invade the outer periphery of the car.

North American Gray Wolf gland’s J1 differentiation ability, Total Lunar Eclipse: Protective-type ability; no damage would be taken within the cover range of the lunar disk, but with time and different degree of damage consumption, the lunar disk would change from a full moon to a crescent moon, and then finally disappear, the cover range gradually decreasing.

This was why Bai Chunian chose to let Rimbaud snipe the rear wheel instead of the driver. Judging by the number of kills on the four members’ chests, and the time of the test from the beginning to the present, their tactics had been to hunt and kill people while driving. Among so many eliminated people, it’d be impossible if there hadn’t been a single sniper trying to snipe the driver.

The driver was the core of the team. Using the frontmost field of vision and the three rearview mirrors, he could observe the situation, change tactics, and convey orders. Once the driver got eliminated, even the most tacit team would need time to adjust.

And when the Ghost Hunting Team came over just now, all the three gunmen were shooting continuously—none of them were protecting the driver. Disregarding the reason of the team having a low cooperation, it showed that the driver himself had a protection-type ability. That the three of them were changing bullets together was a tactical mistake. This kind of opportunity was rare in a team with tacit cooperation. Therefore, if one must take the opportunity to send a single sniper bullet to actually make them pay any price, directly sniping the rear wheel would be the most effective choice.

The Mercedes-Benz G-class that nearly fell out of the guardrail miraculously pulled back onto the road after being thrown out half a meter.

Bai Chunian saw in the rearview mirror that the gray wolf alpha was winking his left eye provocatively, and said with the cigar in his mouth, “Same profession ah, bro.”

“Who’s in the fucking same profession as you?”

Bai Chunian turned around and got out of the sunroof. His left hand pulled out his SA80 rifle and fired at the floating lunar disk. The disk was rapidly disappearing, the corner of the full moon was consumed to a lunar eclipse-like gap. Shortly afterwards, Bai Chunian raised his right hand to the sunroof and spun the Desert Eagle in his palm twice, then immediately fired the gun. The bullet accurately grazed against the gap on the lunar eclipse and smashed the front windshield of the Mercedes-Benz G-class. Bai Chunian turned his hand, switched to the Python Revolver, and fired a shot in quick succession. The bullet flew into the bullet hole previously made by the Desert Eagle and burst out a bloody splash through the gray wolf alpha’s left shoulder.

He Suowei’s health bar on his chest got reduced by one-fifth. He used his hand to cover the bleeding bullet wound and looked at Bai Chunian from the rearview mirror with playfulness and scrutiny.

His gaze suddenly shifted onto Rimbaud. He impudently looked at the collarbone exposed from the small gap of Rimbaud’s bandages and the slender waist wrapped around by a belt, then curiously stared at the fins covering the private part of his lower abdomen. He turned his head once again and was met with Bai Chunian’s warning gaze. Holding the cigar in his mouth, the gray wolf alpha whistled, and mouthed teasingly, “The omega in your car is pretty hot. Lend him to me to play with for a while. I’ll exchange him with one of my teammates.”

“Trade yourself, let me mark you, and fuck you until you’re moaning.” Bai Chunian coldly lifted the corner of his mouth, suddenly slammed on the brake, and changed directions. Using the inertia of the drift, the Mercedes-Benz G-class that was hovering on the edge was knocked out of the guardrail. Half of their own car was suspended in the air, its front wheels struggling on the surface of the road and rubbing out sparks. Rimbaud jumped out from the sunroof, climbed up on the guardrail with his hands, and his tail wrapped firmly on the rearview mirror to pull up the car. Bi Lanxing had turned around and came back in time. It was only when the vines pulled the BMW that it slowly drove back to the road.

Underneath the highway was a lake. Without a roof, the Ghost Hunting Team was submerged in the water, but there was no announcement of them being eliminated.

Bai Chunian tapped on the steering and waited on the bank for a while. The crow omega quietly said, “They’re diving underwater to get away from us.”

“Pussies.” Rimbaud curled his tail around the guardrail and expressionlessly looked down at the sparkling water surface. He lifted his fingertip and pointed it in the air. The surface of the tranquil lake turned into waves all of a sudden. He easily manipulated the waves to chase after the North American gray wolf alpha. The lake water wrapped around a driftwood and beat the wolf alpha, constantly playing around and draining his health.

Bai Chunian suddenly laughed, “You learned how to speak profanities pretty quickly. Have you learned how to say Chu-ge yet?”

Rimbaud pursed his lips and repeated earnestly, “Chu… Chu… g…”

“Selective learning?” Bai Chunian picked up an empty ammunition case from underneath the car seat and with a ‘piu’ sound threw it on Rimbaud’s head. “Get on.”

Bi Lanxing asked, “Should we chase after them?”

Bai Chunian stared at the smoking front car lid and thought it over, “No. Let them go.”

“I’m thinking about something.” Bai Chunian played with the car’s horn with boredom, “I think the tasks in the mission books are pretty simple. The locations are concentrated; they basically want to get us together to fight. So why didn’t the Ghost Hunting Team complete the few tasks while they were at it? 10 headcounts only gets you one star, while each of the tasks gives you one star, and you can kill while you’re at it. Doing the missions is obviously more worthwhile.”

“Do you guys think that the Ghost Hunting Team’s tasks are all in the research institute? And related to that Experiment No. 1513?”

“Any Alphas Here team’s mission is to understand everything about Experiment No. 1513. Our team is to draw out Experiment No. 1513 and take pictures of it. So according to this process, we can assume that the Ghost Hunting Team’s mission might be to eliminate Experiment No. 1513. They couldn’t do it, so they could only hunt for headcounts.”

Bai Chunian slapped his thigh, picked up the loudspeaker, and stuck himself out of the sunroof. He rested his chin on one hand and spoke towards the lake underneath the highway, “See you at the research institute, bro. I’ll beat the shit out of all of you.”
