Chapter 255 - Kiss Me Not (5th book for Hate & Love Series)

Synopsis:

"If I kiss you, you will not die but there is no guarantee that I will stop kissing soon…"

"Hurry and take it off!", she demanded.

His eyebrows lifted up. "No! Only my wife will be allowed to see me n.a.k.e.d!" he firmly replied.

She growled, traces of impatience evident on her beautiful face. She must play some trick to make him strip in front of her, maybe she could get what she wants if she saw him n.a.k.e.d!

She had been trying to coax him and even stooped down to seduce him to fulfill her wish but somehow it all ended up with her stripping herself and him enjoying the view.

'Huh! Only his wife can see his body? Then so be it!!'

"Fine! I will be your wife! Happy now? Now strip out of your clothes quickly."

Her words made his plump lips curve into a cunning yet alluring smile. He immediately reached into his drawer and grabbed the doc.u.ments he had prepared in advance and said, "I need to be sure before letting you take advantage of my body. So, sign here… now."

Her jaw dropped hearing his narcissistic words. 'This sly wolf'

She picked up the pen and scribbled her name on the papers. As soon as she lifted her hand, he called his assistant and handed the papers to him instructing, "Get this registered… this instant!"

As the assistant went out and closed the door behind him Brione hissed at him, "What are you waiting for now? Just strip..."

Hearing her, he smiled viciously, stepping closer to her, and whispered, " Huh! Why don't you do the honors and satisfy yourself to your heart's content? This whole body, in fact, my whole existence is all yours!"

Brione Yu was always an over-achiever who was good at everything she did. She was very famous in the entertainment industry as a wonderful model and actress. But she lacked something when it came to acting. She could not bring herself to do a kissing scene. Why? Because she has the 'fear of kissing' or what her doctor would refer to as 'philemaphobia'. 

There was only one person she could rely on for everything. The only person who managed to kiss her to date, even though he did it without her knowledge. Her best friend… Her first love… 

But she lost him before she could even confess to him that she was ready to cross the line and turn their friendship into love. 

While she was missing him and longing for him, she had an unexpected encounter with a Prince… the only heir to the throne of the royal family in another country. He was a cold and ruthless man feared by many. The rumors said that he was cursed thus, he rarely goes out from his own palace on a secluded island. 

But why was she drawn towards this Prince? Why does she get reminded of Gavin every time he is in front of her eyes?

Was fate playing some kind of game with her? Or was she being played by the Prince?

PROLOGUE

"I really don't understand why I can't bring myself to kiss anyone! I'm dying to have that project. I desperately want the role in that movie but I failed the audition because of a kissing scene... simply because of that damn kissing scene!" she complained as she took another sip from the bottle.

He helplessly sighed as he eyed the empty bottles of vodka on the table. 

His lips curved into a roguish grin as he teased, "I guess kissing scenes are just not meant for you. Especially with other men..."

His eyes sparkled involuntarily while gazing at her beauty. In his eyes, her beauty was beyond comparison… Her beauty was the epitome of the saying 'a beauty that could start a war between countries'.

Those long curly eyelashes, cat-eye-shaped eyes, prominent eyebrows, pointed nose, and heart-shaped lips… were all perfectly sculpted for her oval face. His favorite part was her heart-shaped lips that were naturally red in color tempting him to kiss them every second.

He inhaled loudly as if gathering some strength before he courageously whispered, "Have you heard of the love story of the sun and the moon? They say that the sun loved the moon so much that he died every night just to let her shine."

Opening her eyes, she commented, "Hmm… the sun is too stupid then…" before drinking another gulp of vodka directly from the bottle.

He chuckled, pinched her nose, and whispered, "Are you saying I'm too stupid? Because I'm the sun and you're my moon… that is how much I love you..."

Her eyebrow furrowed but a mischievous smile appeared on her face as she moved closer to him and playfully whispered, "Kiss me then. Let's see if the love you offer can help me overcome my philemaphobia."

He could smell the alcohol in her breath when she spoke so close to his face. He shook his head and firmly answered, "No, I won't!"

He wanted to add that he would only kiss her once she was sober but she ignored him. She leaned closer to him until there was only a finger's gap between them before she declared with a wink, "Yes you will."

He suddenly felt her lips landing on his. It was so soft and delicate that his instincts overpowered him and he subconsciously started kissing her back earnestly and passionately. 

She was a sloppy kisser, kissing him without any direction… moving her lips here and there, s.u.c.k.i.n.g and l.i.c.k.i.n.g... 

She paused after a while and her eyes widened as she stared at him in disbelief. He gulped as the realization was striking him. He opened his mouth to say something but she cupped his face and pulled him again for another kiss.

"It tastes like candy…" she unknowingly murmured in between their kisses. She has always liked the taste of candy so she continued l.i.c.k.i.n.g and s.u.c.k.i.n.g.

"Tasty… Hmmm…" she m.o.a.n.e.d.

He managed to pull out of the kiss because if he didn't, he was afraid that he would lose control and do more. Taking advantage of her especially when she was drunk was the last thing he wanted to do.

"Are you drunk?" he whispered looking intently at her watery eyes.

"Yes, I am but who cares! How come I can kiss you huh? Your lips taste like candy! Let's kiss once more!" she blabbered everything in one breath before she felt her head spinning around, making her lose consciousness.

He was quick to catch her and whispered, "Will you remember this time when you wake up tomorrow?"

He let out a deep sigh as he wrapped her in his arms. He wanted to confess to her but he lacked the courage to do it. He could only do it whenever she got drunk but unfortunately, she would always forget it once she woke up.

He wondered if there would ever be a time in the future where he could be aggressive and do the things he wanted to do without hesitation and without having to consider the friendship they had since childhood. He was hiding all his emotions from her. His mind and body felt like a ticking bomb ready to explode at any given moment and show the real him that he wanted her to see...
