/ One night with the Prince 130 Five, Very Long Years
Alexa who was in the dreamland, dreaming of a certain someone..., was startled that she quickly rolled off her bed and fell to the ground. "What the heck? Why are you yelling so early in the freaking morning, you could have awakened the dead. Gosh, I was just about to..., forget it! I'm awake now!" Alexa growled at Andrea, her face unreadable, her hair all over her beautiful face. She looked a mess.
"Cuz!!! You wouldn't believe this,- I just received a call from Ms. Garcia telling me that we are invited to collaborate with a very famous designer, and...- guess what?! He's Filipino! Oh, my God!!!!" Andrea was screaming on the top of her lungs while prancing around like a little child.
"Do you remember that CEO and his wife that went to the White House with the twins' sister? The lovely and handsome and wealthy couple...? Well, I remember them doing the wedding finale in New York City fashion show about six years ago. And the creator was none other than...," She was not able to finish what she was saying, as Alexa held up her hand to stop her in the middle of her sentence.
"Hold that thought, and hold your horses, let me wash my face, and brush my teeth first- morning breath, you know," Alexa said as she walked towards her bathroom. She immediately ran the cold water and put a face wash cream-soap on hand and smoothed over her face.
"So, you were saying?!" While she was cleaning her face, she shouted at Andrea.
Andrea walked to the entrance of the bathroom and inclined at the doorway. "As I was saying, that legendary designer wants to cooperate with me, as long as you come with the package."
"What do you mean I come with the package deal? So, he wants me to model also, as you collaborating with him? Is that it? It's fine with me, as long as Ms. Garcia approves it." Alexa said casually as she dried her face and started applying a moisturizer to her face.
While the two were busy talking, Ria came with a big smile on her face, and it looked like she had something to share as well. "Good morning, beautiful ladies!" She greeted while grinning from ear to ear. It was visible that she was excited and happiness was making her face glow like a light bulb.
"Well, good morning to you too!" Alexa and Andrea greeted her back in unison while looking at each other curiously.
Alexa: [Something is up, she must have gotten a proposal.] Her eyes were saying to Andrea.
Andrea: [There's nothing on her finger if she did, she would be flaunting it in our faces already.'
"Alright! You two stop speaking with your eyes. I'm not blind, and I can see you guys making faces with each other right on my face." Ria scolded the cousins, then hit both on their buttocks.
Alexa was the first to ask. "Miss Ria Flora...! Give!- Start talking, or I will tickle you to death. I know your weakness. Hahaha!" Alexa went towards Ria and about ready to start tickling her.
"Uncle! I surrender, I'm talking- I'm talking!" Ria had her hands up in the air while running away from Alexa. Once she's about ten feet away from Alexa and Andrea, she then put her hands to her necklace.- She then pulled it out slowly...- An engagement ring was hooked on her necklace, and the diamond that looks like about two carats was sparkling from the lights above her head.
" What!!! Oh! My God! I'm so excited, I almost peed in my pants!" Andrea screamed out loud.
On the other hand, Alexa was speechless; she had expected it a long time ago. But, she never thought it would happen anytime soon.
Sadness was looming on her face...- She was not ready for Ria to leave her just yet, what would she do if she decides just to be an everyday housewife?' Alexa acted like she didn't see it and went toward the small table in her room where Ria had put down her coffee.
"Alexa! Didn't you see? I think- I think, Is it what I'm thinking Ria? Come, come and sit down and tell us how it happened?" Andrea grabbed Ria's hand and pulled her toward the table and sat her down on one of the chairs.
She then pulled Alexa next, who was drinking her coffee slowly without uttering a word to them while she sat her down at the vacant chair.
Andrea took the opposite chair to Ria and popped her hand unto her face and looked at Ria with excitement while waiting for her to tell the story.
Ria excitedly told them the full details, while Alexa was sitting there not saying anything at all. Once Ria finished, Andrea got up quickly and gave her a bear hug.
"Congratulations! I'm so happy for you and your sweetheart! Wow! It's brilliant, and I already have an idea for your wedding gown, you will love it." Andrea was babbling on and on, not realizing that Alexa hadn't congratulated Ria at all.
However, Ria had realized it, and when Alexa still hadn't said anything to her, she shyly thanked Andrea and got up, When was about to leave without saying anything to Alexa.
Someone suddenly hugged her from the back while sobbing...- It was Alexa, she was inconsolable and kept on crying nonstop while hugging her very tight and did not want to let go.
"Huh, huh, huh,-Don't leave me, please! Ria... I can't live without you...- I don't know what I would do without you." Alexa kept was saying while she continued sobbing on Ria's shoulder.
Ria unlocked Alexa's hand from her hug and turned around to face her charge. "Oh, dear... I'm not leaving you! I'm only getting married, and I'm not going anywhere. So, stop your crying or else you're going to ruin that beautiful face of yours. You're going to end up with a Panda eye. Hahaha!"
When Alexa heard what Ria had said, her face lit up like a 10,000 watts light bulb. She cupped Ria's face then began kissing her cheeks left and right. She then finally congratulated Ria with the biggest smile she could come up with. Her two dimples were deeply indented on both her cheeks.
"Alright! That's all settled then, I only have one request and if you don't agree... You and Logan cannot get married. Do you understand?!" Alexa was acting all high and mighty, but her eyes were showing full of love towards Ria.
"Sure! Name it and if I could, I would!" Ria replied.
"I'm going to be the Maid of Honor! No ifs and no buts! You got it?!" She said with her eyes bulging from the sockets while looking at Ria face to face.
Ria was overwhelmed by what Alexa had just asked. She wasn't sure how to reply, for she was stunned to hear that Alexa was offering herself to be her Maid of Honor. She looked at Alexa's face, searching to see if she was serious or joking. However, Alexa meant every word she said.
Ria did not realize that tears had started trickling down her face. Alexa's sincerity touched her. For the last Five, long years...Alexa never treated her any different than how she treated Andrea. And she was grateful for that.
Andrea was the same as Alexa, that's why Ria treated both of them as family, instead of as her employers.
"If that's what you want, you've got it!" Ria replied happily, with tears flowing down her face.
The trio hugged each other while tears of happiness were flowing down their faces...
