One night with the Prince 128 The Youngest Senator in History

Daniel had woken up early and left for the headquarters for his campaign to make sure that everything was ready for the debate. It would be on a live broadcast, and he needed to make sure that he was fully prepared. He could not take any chances and lose out to a rookie.

"Where have you guys been? We were meant to be at the venue an hour ago. Now, look at what time it is." Daniel was nervous, and it was showing on his face. He had asked Alexa and Andrea to help him with his campaign, as per President Grant's pep talks with him, Alexa's popularity might bring in some people to his side. Curiosity kills the cat, after all. The masses would be curious about Alexa's relationship with him and might earn him votes in return.

"You worry too much, is not like we're walking to the venue, we will be driving there and would be there in less than thirty minutes. Hahaha!" Andrea went to him and assured him with a sweet smile, and a light kiss; hence, he became fine after that.

The debate was held at one of the Auditoriums in one of the Universities in Washington DC, and it was filled to the maximum capacity. All the single ladies attending the University along with their friends wanted to get a glimpse of the most eligible bachelor in the Country. Unknown to them, Daniel had already been snatched and was no longer available.

Reporters were all set up and ready for the debate. However, the masses already predicted that Daniel would come out the victor. He was the beloved, bright, extremely handsome, intelligent and only son of the present president of the country after all, and in the history of politics, when the president's son enters a race, it's an automatic win.

Daniel, however, did not believe in that theory, he wanted the masses to know who he actually was and what he was capable of doing for the people. He would tell them that he was there to help clean America of illegal drugs, prostitution, and most of all, human trafficking. In the past, he had been actively assisting President Grant with this fight and had an excellent report thus far.

The debate went well without hindrance, and everyone loved Daniel. It also helped that he was the #1 eligible bachelor in the Country which made all the young girls at the arena fall immediately for his handsome looks and the beautiful mild baritone voice he spoke in.

The election day came, and as people expected, Daniel won without flinching. He became the youngest Senator in the history of the country as he had just turned Thirty years old before the start of the election.

Meanwhile, at the White House. President Grant and First Lady Dianne were having a heated argument about Daniel and Andrea. The First Lady had found out that Daniel was currently living with Andrea for the last Five years. She had no idea that Alexa was also living with the two, and if she figured it out, it would be world war three at the white house.

"Huh, huh, huh! I can't believe you knew all about them, and you never once mentioned it to me. I had to see it on television to find out that my only son, my baby was cohabitating with some...-some..." The First Lady wasn't able to complete her sentence- as President Grant had stopped her right then and there.

"Don't even go there! That girl comes from a decent family, and she has had an excellent education. On top of that, she's one of the most famous designers in Europe. Haven't you been reading your fashion magazines? Since that is all, you do all day!" President Grant reasoned on Andrea's behalf.

"I don't care! My son would not marry a hussy like her. I already have someone in mind, and I am only waiting after your second term and would introduce her to your inaugural ball. Now, I have no face to show to her family. What am I going to do... Huh, huh, huh! " First Lady Dianne suddenly look up remembering something.

"By the way, when is he coming back home? He's not planning on playing house with that girl now that he has been elected to seat at the Senate, does he?!" Her eyes were bulging out of their sockets as she waited for the President to reply.

"Bite me! Why don't you contact him and ask him that question? What am I, a mind reader?!" He then turned around and left to go to his private office to facetime Alexa.

Alexa picked up the call in one ring. She knew it was the President calling to congratulate her older brother, but using her phone to do so. She immediately picked up the phone that was sitting at the top of her dresser and swiped her finger.

"Well, hello there, princess!" President Grant greeted his daughter with the sweetest smile spread across his face.

Alexa loved it whenever he called her princess. She knew she was his only biological daughter who had been missing for a very long time, but hearing it from her father made her heart swell and full of love for the President. She put on the sweetest smile showing her two indented dimples on her beautiful face before replying.

"Hello there, my liege! My handsome dad!" She laughed. " We won!!! Did you see that? Daniel killed his opponent with a landslide. Hahaha!" She proudly bragged about Daniel's accomplishment to their father.

"Hmmm? Did he now?! Good for him. Where is that boy by the way? I need to congratulate him and also to invite myself to dinner at your home." President Grant excitedly informs Alexa.

"You want to come and have dinner with us here? What about her? -First Lady Dianne- Is she coming too?" Alexa's face suddenly turned sullen, and discomfort was visible in her eyes.

"Now, now, now... - She is your mother now, princess. I promised after I win my second term- I would announce to the whole world that you're my princess, my one and only daughter, how's that?"

"I know, it's what your advisors wanted, and it's important for you to win the second term. Don't worry, and I'm fine with that. I'm supporting you all the way.- Fighting!" She lifted her arms and gestured with a fighting stance.

"Let me go out there and see what those two are doing; I'm sure they are all lovey-dovey as usual." She bantered to her father as she walked out of her room to find Daniel.

Alexa found Daniel and Andrea in the kitchen arguing about seasoning, while the chef was shaking his head while standing at the corner watching the two make spectacles of themselves.

"Ahem! Ahem!! Daniel, someone wants to congratulate you on your achievement. Here!" She handed the phone to her brother before turning her attention to Andrea to see what they were making to the point of arguing about seasoning.

"What are you making?" She whispered as not to let the President hear their conversation.

"Oh! It's nothing, and I was showing him how to make some Lumpia. He said he wanted some and when I said I would make some- he quickly volunteered to help. Then he's acting like he is a professional Chef and telling me that it needs this as part of ingredients." She lifted a bottle of paprika and showed it, Alexa.

"Hahaha! Hahaha! You two love birds killing me. However, I'm happy for you- sister!" Alexa then hugged Andrea and gave her a peck on her cheek...
