ONE NIGHT WITH THE PRINCE Chapter 205

President Grant's heart was breaking, looking at Ashley slumped at the floor sobbing at her grandmother's lap.  He bows to himself that he would do everything in his power to find the culprit and get his daughter's name cleared of any suspicion.

Daniel's face was unreadable as he looked at his sister.  His heart was also breaking, and there's nothing he could do to ease his baby sister's heartache.  If and when he does find out who that person that was trying to blame Alexa, he would make sure that person would regret being born.  He would make that person pay with his own life if needed.

Andrea and Chrissy both bent down to caress Alexa's back, trying their might to ease her pain.  Chrissy was in tears as well and crying silently with tears flowing down on her face.  

After a while, when Alexa seems to calm down.  Chrissy and Andrea help her up to a standing position.  Before all three of them embraced each other and bega weeping together...

It feels like an eternity for the two men watching their love ones crying their heart out, but there's nothing they could do but wait until they finally come to an end before they spoke.

"Why don't you all go and rest a bit while the food is being prepared.  Will send someone to fetch you once ready."  President Grant told them with sadness in his eyes.  As much as he wanted to spend more time with them, everyone was worn out and needed a proper rest.

Alexa breaks away from Chrissy and Andrea's embrace and faces her grandmother with tears still visible on her beautiful face.  She procures a half-smile as she spoke.

"Grandma, if you don't mind, I'm going to head to my room first. I need to get my thoughts together; my mind is jumbled up right now."  she did wait for the reply and turn around and left without saying anything to everyone else.

Chrissy quickly bid everyone goodbye and followed her daughter.  She knew that Alexa wanted to be alone at the moment... But it's a time when she needed her mother the most.  She will be there for her, she hasn't been there when she was a child, but it's different now.  She now has a family, a complete family.

No sooner than Alexa and Chrissy left, they began telling grandmother Grant the whole thing so she would understand what's going on.  

"What?  That's despicable for them to blame Alexa without concrete proof.  How did they come with the conclusion that Alexa was the one that pushed them into the balcony?  That's unheard of and absurd!"  Grandmother Grant was astonished and perplexed.

"That what we are also saying when we found out.  Since they had no idea where Alexa was, they couldn't keep her for questioning.  Luckily we received a secret message that she was in one of the rooms in the palace, and we were able to rescue her before they found her."  Daniel was telling his grandmother angrily and unable to sit still.

"Nevertheless, she's safe now.  She will stay here inside the White House until we know what's going on.  In the meantime, check the intel for any news from the palace of Stonasia."  President Grant ordered Daniel as he also got up.

"Mother, if you'll excuse me.   I have matters to attend to, and I will not be able to keep you company."  He then went to give grandmother Grant a light embrace and a kiss on her old cheek before turning to leave for the Oval Office.

"Daniel, you come with Andrea and me, will you please stay and keep mother company."  President Grant asked as he was leaving.

Daniel got up and done the same to his grandmother and then gives Andrea a light kiss before following his father's footsteps.

Andrea only nodded and sat beside grandmother Grant, sadly.  There's nothing much she could do but show some comfort to her future grandmother-in-law.  "Should I ask for some tea grandmother?"  She asked, kindly.

Grandmother only smiles slightly and then patted Andrea's hand.  "It's fine, dear, whatever you want.  Sigh!  What a mess, do you have any idea what's going to happen to Alexa now?  What about her crown?  Would they take it back?  Oh' this is sad, very sad indeed."

Inside the [1]John F. Kennedy Conference Room, The President's Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB) all gathered together along with some high ranking FBI and CIA Officers to discuss Alexa's situation.  This is the President's daughter they are talking about.  They must handle it with utmost secrecy as to not divulge their real relationship that could affect his candidacy.

The President's Intelligence Advisory Board gives their expert advice on the conduct of U.S. intelligence and how they should proceed with the situation.  Along with the higher ranking FBI and CIA official, they all discuss the matters very carefully.

President Grant arrives with Daniel right behind him.  Everyone got up and greeted them...  Before they continued with the discussion.  After very long hours, they finally finished and have come up with a plan that if it worked, they would be able to clear Alexa's name in no time.

Everyone congratulated President Grant for Alexa's winning the Miss Universe competition as they bid him goodbyes.

"Don't worry, Mr. President, we will not let anything happen to our Miss Universe.  We have it under control."  The head of the Advisory team informs President Grant as to comfort him.

"Thank you!  Gentlemen, for coming to my aid, even though this is not a matter States Emergency, you all still come at short notice.  Thank you, all!"  President Grant told everyone as they walked out of the John F. Kennedy Conference Room.

Once everyone was gone, President Grant and Daniel sat back down for a moment to further make plans on their own.  Daniel had secretly dispatched their best secret service back to Stonasia to snoop. 

Since Alexa would not be leaving the White House to go anywhere anytime soon, she's beautiful without her detail.  Ria, Logan, Lucas, along with Daniel's details left as quickly as they were back in the safety of the White House.  

While they were on board the Airforce One on the way back to America, they received intel that the kingdom was keeping everything hush-hush.  Only people within the palace at the time knew about what happened.  

Princess Angelica's body was returned to the Kingdom of Spaniard, and they have not yet made any announcement about her death.  Something is fishy, and they intend to find out asap.

Alexa only has a month off before her duty would commence and she would need to make an appearance as the newly crowned Miss Universe 2020.
